We love the whistle stop! They make the best smoothies in town. The panini's are absolutely amazing. I also really enjoy the salad options. If you're craving something sweet they have a nice selection of ice cream and other yummy goodies. Whenever I need a healthy delicious meal I stop here. negative stars for this place I had high hopes because I LOVE supporting new businesses in town, they have a nice-variety menu, a wide variety of desserts and interesting things in their store ...but every encounter with this place has been disappointment first and foremost: their prices are through-the-roof RIDICULOUS which would be forgivable IF the food was good OR enough. see in photo how much I paid ($11) for a couple drops of ice cream and a couple meh cookies. plastic spoon for scale, I paid $7.75 for about 75¢ of ice cream. see how much those cookies cost? not worth half that another time I got their $13 mushroom goat cheese sandwich which was bland = infuriating for $13! see in that other 1-star review that they use "Great Value" brand in their smoothies = YUCK!! this makes it quite clear that they do NOT care about quality. what other quality-free ingredients do they use? last thing: I left an honest comment on a facebook post and the Whistle Stop owner reported my comment to the group admin = passive aggressive. I wouldn't be surprised if the 5-star reviews for this place are family & friends of the owners & employees. steer clear of this place, friends, there are MUCH better options in Willits go to Karkar's or JD Redhouse for sammiches go to Scoops or JD Redhouse for milkshakes or ice cream go to Mariposa for smoothies read more

We stopped by on Tuesday & tried the moonlight mango & strawberry kiwi smoothies along with the meatball & pastrami on the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. My 3 year old especially loved her smoothie & we can't wait to go back. The views inside the shop are beautiful & I love that they have so many cute stuff to shop for & a great seating area. They have great outside seating. Inside they have sitting and a wide variety of To Go food, drinks, and ice cream. I had what is called a power slaw which you would think from the ingredients would never go good together, but to my surprise, it was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody that asked. The service is absolutely excellent. It deserves to be on your to do list. read more

We came here for smoothies with the kiddos before we took a ride on the skunk train. When we entered their cafe there were no other customers other than a couple outside. We ordered 3 smoothies and it took them over 30 minutes to make them. When we finally got them I tried the 2 flavors and didn't like it at all. There were for the kids so as long as they liked them that's all that mattered. All 3 of my kids 9,6 and 3 refused to drink them saying they were gross. To back up a bit I don't think their ingredients are as fresh as they advertise. All the fruit was frozen and they used "Great Value" brand apple juice which I am pretty sure is from Walmart. The food looked like it was probably better and we planned to eat there after the train ride but decided to go elsewhere after those smoothies. They ultimately gave us a refund and for that they get 2 stars. If we didn't have to wait so long for such bad smoothies I would give 3 stars but that wait was kinda ridiculous given there was nobody else who ordered ahead of us. Hopefully it was just a bad luck visit and hopefully they take this feedback. read more

Absolutely love their salads. I have tried the beet salad and harvest salad so far; they are both delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful when I have questions. This is one of my favorite places to go to in Willits for salads, several of my friends have raved over the chicken, bacon pesto sandwich also. read more

This is a new family owned small restaurant so far I have tried their smoothies. House salad and their chef salad and they're really good. They use fresh ingredients. Salad dressing is amazing. I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu. read more
