Mr. Holmes and Dominique Ansel preserves the meaning of quality over quantity. This is not reflected at Brewtown Newtown. Nearly all their pastries lacked a heavy dose of cream. The cronuts did not even have real layers of croissant in between. The cruffins weren't flaky enough. Sure it was covered in sugar but it was missing that sweet spot (literally). The taste wasn't quite there yet. I also got to try something I've never seen before and to be honest I'm a bit embarassed I ate something so sinfully disgusting. The Elvis burger. I have no idea why it's called that and I don't think this is in anyway a rock star burger. It's basically a burger with plain cronuts as the buns. The moment I took a bite I could feel the heart attack I'm getting when I turn 85. I tasted every drop of oil that was soaked the cronuts and the beef patty from the fryer. Elvis Burger, you won the award for the most disgusting thing I ate in 2015. Do I regret it? A little. Was it good? Kinda. Would I do it again? Probably not, I clogged enough arteries already. P.S.
