A sweet little chocolate shop located on a corner of the super busy King St. Found this little gem on a BuzzFeed list of must try desserts. The shop itself is very hip and inviting with dimmed lights for a relaxed feel. There was only one person working there and he was very busy running around! We got a Brownie boy shake w/so many chocolate items mixed together. We were a little disappointed that it was served in a plastic cup and not a mason jar as it was featured on the BuzzFeed list but still amazing! Next was a gelato slider starting with a chocolate chip cookie, then pink lady gelato or Strawberries and cream, drizzled on chocolate, and finally slammed shut with a caramel and white chocolate cookie. Yum!!! This was my favorite! I love the choices you can make! It does get a little messy because the cookie is crunchy so the gelato goes shooting out of the sandwich. I honestly prefer crunchy over chewy but it made for a sight to eat. Still delicious overall!

Was walking down King Street after dinner and noticed this place so I decided to pop in. As the name suggests, this is a chocolate cafe so they have all kinds of chocolate...you can even take a shot of chocolate for $1. I passed on that and decided to go for their signature gelato slider. This comes in two iterations, either in between two cookies of your choosing, varying from vanilla chocolate chip, to triple chocolate, to macadamia nut and a few others that escape me...or in a small brioche bun. They have 12 flavours of gelato to choose from (it's pretty average) and I opted for cookies and cream in two vanilla chocolate chip cookies. Not going to lie, it's pretty tasty but a bit too sweet. Each bite feels like you're getting that much closer to getting instant diabetes. If you're keen for a sugar or chocolate hit, definitely check this place out. The gelato is OK, the chocolate is better.

I had a craving for waffles and saw that chocolate shop. I had a scoop of fig and mascarpone ice cream. And dark chocolate with my waffle. Was pretty tasty. Didn't think it was too sweet. I thought it was well balanced.

Hmm.... After long walk in NewTown and nice dinner then DIY your own biscuit icecream, trully joyful. We pop our own pecan maple cookies with vanilla dark choco swirll... pretty damn good.

Cloud 9- c9 Newtown 2 plates of heaven.. No regrets!

Really great ice cream sandwich. Best kept secret is that you can get two different cookies as the outside! Also - staff is SUPER friendly.

And on a late weekday afternoon, they were sold out of the drinks that caught my eye. The desserts are fine, but some of the prices are so expensive that I don't feel like I'd miss out on much if I didn't get them. The average price seemed to be $28 for a dessert smaller than the size of my palm. While some of the flavors were more unique, based on the ones I tried, they weren't actually good combinations or just blended together so that you might as well be eating one flavor.

After eating dinner somewhere else, my friend and I stopped at Koi for dessert. We go there only 30 min before close, so there weren't a lot of desserts left. We tried two of them - a pandan cake and a mango dessert. They were both beautiful looking, but don't recall being blown away by the taste. And it was very expensive. I thought to myself that it was not what I hoped. But I'll give the benefit of the doubt that maybe at the end of the night all they have the less popular desserts left. Next time I'm there, I'll give it another shot.

Hungarian donut? Cone of deliciousness? Kürtösh? Call it what you want but it's so good!…read more My friend recommended the hazelnut Kürtösh but the pistachio one looked so good that I did what any normal person would do... got both! I preferred the pistachio Kurtosh. The hazelnut one was like candy on top of the cone and very crunchy like candy. These are made to order so take around 10 or 15 minutes. Not really ideal for a grab and go but was worth the stop. They have a ton of other pastries as well that are pay by the pound. The kurtosh was really good, especially with coffee. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if nearby I would definitely go again.

It's quite good. Honestly, I'd say forget the pastry twister and go one of the Slab Cakes instead. Oh, so good! So far, my favourite has been the Catastrophe Flourless Choc Cake. Or mayyyybe actually the Lemon Crumble Cheesecake. Pretty much mention Mum's Chocolate Cake and I'm ready to trip someone over for a bite! If you can't choose, you could order a sliver of each and call it day. This is the best bit about Kurtosh - everything is sold by weight, and there's no minimum (or maximum) for what you buy. So you can literally order a sliver each of four kinds of cake. Hoorah! Extra bonus: open late so you can pop in for after dinner dessert.

I wouldnt say the food is bad but it also didnt wow me either. It sounded a lot better than it tasted and looked. Even when I looked at the pic now, I'm like damn that looks good. I'm not saying you can get it anywhere also but in terms of taste, it's not anything that is too memorable. I got the Lobster and crab omelette. The Devon Magic Muffins are reeeediculous. Chocolate and banana with crumbly crystallised-sugar top and a heavy lashing of Nutella oozing from the middle. Mondayitis? There was something so sweet & simple about that. I wish you would see that more in the states. The gelato flavors change what seems like every day or every few days. I came here a few times during my trip and every time there were new specialty flavors on the board. Overall, most of the gelato flavors were too sweet for my liking but I was able to find a few that were palatable - bounty being one of them. The only reason I give it three stars is because of that, most flavors were too sweet. If that's your thing then you may love this place. I love that they stay open really late as well.
