On our walk to the restaurant I thought I was going to, we stopped inside Songbird to "find out party information". I was led back to the large back room which was dark and quiet. It was opened for me, the lights were turned on and about 40 of family members and friends that I love yelled SURPRISE!!! For about the next 3 hours, there was singing, laughing, speeches, cake and to be honest, one of my favorite nights of my life. Thank you Songbird for being a big part of this wonderful celebration!

There was an Italian station w pasta, meatballs, sausage, pizza, then carved pork and skirt steak area, lots of seafood and even a mashed potato bar and a macaroni and cheese bar. Stupendous! Every time I got up I found something new to try. The wedding space was elegant and large for all to enjoy. We ordered the filet and that was served with tasty asparagus, potatoes, a peeled carrot and a light gravy sauce. I was very happy with all the desserts I tried too. The staff was ultra pleasant and attentive. This was a first class affair. I loved my time at Lucien's Manor and if you have the chance to attend or host an event there I know you will too. We worked closely with Michele Prescott as the Event Coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic. Her attention to detail and willingness to make everything go as smoothly as possible without adding any undue stress to a very stressful time was greatly appreciated. She ensured all of the moving parts worked without issue. We were hosting an "after-party" in the lobby after the reception and Michele secured a bartender for our event (Rob) who was great. He was quick and efficient and engaged with our guests ensuring every was happy. Additionally, we hosted a breakfast in a conference room the next morning and Michele worked with the kitchen staff and pulled it all off flawlessly. Your staff made my wife and I look like superstars. To a person, every single staff individual we encountered were pleasant, smiling and eminently helpful with any request or encounter. A few notable call-outs are warranted for Sonya from the Front Desk, Demarious(?) who was the Kitchen Manger (apologies if I got the name wrong, I believe it started with a "D"). TV not working properly because TV remote was not charged and didn't control the TV. 5. Only 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 3 bath towels for 2 people for 3 nights. 6. Dark in room, not enough lights. 7. Towel bar in bathroom above toilet came apart. 8. Phone has lots of static noise, can hardly hear other person. 9. Shower leaks lots of water onto bathroom floor which could be a safety issue. 10. At 8:30AM, the only breakfast item left was eggs. Really, the only good thing good was that the ro om was clean.

The tram moved at a nice pace so you could really take in everything. So much to see - everywhere. It was a really fun way to spend a few hours on a rainy day! But I urge you to visit rain or shine!
