The flippin fries were so good that I didn't need ketchup
Michelle R.

TLDR: the fries are some of the best I have ever had! This place could totally call it in and serve garbage because there are not a lot of options in the area. However, they not only serve excellent home style food, they also serve twice as much in takeout. We were visiting family and stopped here because it is tradition. The waitstaff was super honest about the food taking a bit longer and kept our glasses full. How this person could stay so positive in the last hour under so much stress is freaking inspirational. I got the pilgrim wrap which was delicious, and the fries were just amazing. My mom and aunt shared a pot roast meal and get saying it tasted just like "ma tante's". My kid got a salad and the fries. So good.

The omelette was very good. I tried the veggie omelette with hash browns. I loved the blueberry pancakes

Bacon egg and cheese on a croissant

The food is just as beautiful as the river that flows next to this diner giving it the perfect atmosphere. We went for breakfast and my girlfriend got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and the croissant was definitely freshly baked. The corned beef hash is excellent as well. I just wish I got a little more. Overall you should go here if your in the area

Don't let the small dated exterior fool you. This place is extremely clean inside with amazing food. We got the soup of the day - carrot-ginger - which is actually more like a purée than soup. Very thick and creamy with an excellent carrot flavor with just a hint of ginger. Also on special was the Dijon maple chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. With the fries as a side, this is enough to share unless you have a very large appetite. Highly recommend

I loved this burger restaurant. Our waitress was really kind and happy to answer questions. I'm…read moregluten free, and this turned out to be a great place for me to eat. I ordered the veggie burger with a gluten-free bun, and the bun was toasted perfectly. The waitress also proactively mentioned that while the fries are not made with gluten ingredients, they are cross contaminated, which I really appreciated. Because of that, I switched to a side salad with balsamic dressing instead. All the salad dressings are all gluten free, and there were several other gluten-free options on the menu. For dessert, I got a gluten-free and vegan carrot cake slice. The atmosphere inside was cozy and had a brewery-like, outdoorsy feel. Overall, it was a really comfortable and stress free dining experience, especially as someone who is gluten-free and vegetarian.

I've had a couple burgers that didn't quite hit for me, but overall they're very solid. The cowboy burger with candied jalapeños is a standout and my recommendation. And very importantly, they actually cook the burger how you order it! The wait can get long, so come prepared. They do have an online waitlist, which helped a lot on my last visit. Service can be a little slow, but friendly. And the vibes are relaxed and perfect for unwinding after a hike.

Workers were very friendly and welcoming inside. The inside had some bar seating and some table seating with someone playing piano. The menu has a variety of different sandwiches. I started with a hot chocolate and the elote dip. Hot chocolate was nothing special but was good on a cold day. The elote dip was delicious! Warm and cheesy! Yum! I then ordered the falafel pita. It wasn't my favorite. The falafel was crisp but I didn't love the homemade gluten free pita. It was not fluffy and was just kinda bland. The fries were made well! Thick and very crispy. Overall the atmosphere was nice.

So while on a trip and looking for a spot to grab some lunch naturally we ended up picking this spot. I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? If you visit during warmer weather it appeared they have a huge outdoor area further back than we were in as well! If you like visiting breweries add this to your list to check out!

There are not a ton of dining options in this area, so when we were looking for dinner one night,…read morewe wound up at the Hardwick Street Cafe, which is a restaurant inside of like a small community/convention center type of venue. It's funny because when we arrived, the women at the front desk asked if we were trying to squeeze in dinner before the show, and we were like, "What show?" The food was good and the service was choppy. But I would come back and have another meal here. Everyone tried hard anyway. So we started by ordering a couple of drinks. I was surprised when I asked the young lady which of the two cider options she'd recommend and she said she wasn't allowed to serve alcohol and had to ask one of the older servers. Ah to be young :-) We ordered the cheese platter to start, which came out with four kinds of cheese, some lovely crispy flatbread kind of crackers. We order these types of things at restaurants a lot, and usually when the cheese platter comes to your table, the waiter or waitress tells you the different types of cheeses. That did not happen here so we asked - the young lady again did not know and said she would go ask someone. And then she basically just never came back with the information. We guessed there was a white cheddar, a gouda and a bleu cheese. Still don't know what the fourth one was. I got the cheeseburger, which was fine. And the potato wedge fries that I think I upgraded to were very good. My husband got the chicken and waffles special, which he said was OK. I got a piece of the special of the day chocolate chip cheesecake to go for dessert, and that was VERY good. So in all, decent and would come back. But the service was a bit lacking.
