The perfect burger, with Cabot cheese, bacon and lettuce
    Iris S.

WOW. We had seen reviews on this place and KNEW we had to stop here. It is out of the way, just a little burger trailer that is CASH ONLY. Everything is made to order, and not the quickest, but WOW was it GOOOOOOD. They were out of the hash brown for my breakfast burger and refunded us some of the difference which was nice. But the burger I got was still outstanding. That cabot cheese.... drool. The whole time we were eating my husband kept saying how this was his favorite burger ever- which is a bummer since we live in Texas and can't get back easily haha. But this was one to remember. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only seating is picnic tables outside. So if its raining plan to take it home or eat in your car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Regardless, it will be worth it!

Hubby's plain burger....he enjoyed it both visits!

This is a cute roadside stand that has tons of burger options! We are camping in the area and have been twice in the week we have been here & will likely return a time or two in the next week. The first visit we had a 35 minute wait for our order, which wasn't ideal, but wasn't terrible. I ordered a Reuben burger and it was delicious! We also ordered fries and they were decent, however, I probably wouldn't order them again. I like a crunch to my fries and these were lacking crunch. Husband always orders a plain burger (meat, bun & ketchup). He enjoyed his burger both visits. Second visit, I ordered a Bleu Royal and it was divine! We opted to get mozzarella sticks and they were super fresh & tasty. On the second visit, we did not have much wait, although there were way more customers this time! So don't drive by just because they may look busy; it seems to speed up the service a bit!! LOL! We have done both take-home & eaten on site. The tables are clean and the weather has been beautiful. Would recommend either.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be prepared to wait though! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few picnic tables available, but never seems to be enough to seat all the people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is 10/10! The nutty goat was an amazing mixture of flavors! The fries are also excellent. The root beer float was so-so. Unfortunately they won't make a float with Coke, only root beer, orange, or grape. My husband had the Ethan Allen and loved it. I would recommend this place!

I decided to get a bun less burger . Bacon cheese burger. Mozzarella sticks with fries.

This spot was a hidden gem! Definitely come and check this spot out. My husband and I came here for a bite to eat, and this spot was very delicious. I would highly recommend coming here and checking this spot out. The prices are very reasonable as well and the employees are very nice too.

Quite possibly the best burger I have ever had! First, let me set the scene. This is not a restaurant, more of a permanent food truck. The parking lot has limited spaces, so you may need to wait for a spot to open up. They have some picnic tables set up, but it seems like most people order their food and go. They have a large menu that features everything from a basic burger to burgers with almost anything you can imagine on them! Pruces are reasonable, ranging from around 10-12 for a burger. They also have hot dogs, some seafood, chicken, and vegetarian options. Onion rings and fries are delicious as well! **Important to note that they currently ONLY ACCEPT CASH!** I forgot to take pictures because we were starving and I couldn't ask everyone to wait Go get a burger, and take your own pictures, you will not be disappointed!!

After driving on route 108 from Stowe over Mount Mansfield the first town you hit is Jeffersonville. As it was lunch time and also a place I wouldn't likely be often in my life I looked around for food options and was intrigued by a literal hole in the wall called burger barn. Pros: an almost endless menu of burger options. There was another non burger menu but as I was drawn by the name burger barn I didn't look at it. Burgers are cooked medium to medium well and are sizable (maybe 6 oz) and are made of local grass fed beef. And most importantly they were tasty. They're also relatively inexpensive. There are picnic tables if you want to eat there as well as a portable restroom. Cons: it's not fast food and at peak times there are lines and it will take time to get your order. There is almost no shade so wear a hat and or sunscreen if midday if eating there. Overall: If you are nearby (it's on route 15) and hungry and like burgers I recommend it.

My experience was okay, your mileage may vary. This is a small establishment with an adequate parking area and outside seating. We came here on Father's Day, it was very busy, 20 minutes for a burger, fries, and a corn dog. Their time estimate was on point, so that was a positive. Cash only, so I'm glad we were carrying money. The service was friendly, not rude at all, which was good because we had to get more money from the car to finish paying, holding up the line. I would say we lose points because, despite people saying this was a great spot, the burger was dry and the fries were very crispy. Corn dog, on point, standard fare. The reason I give it a maybe is that locals seem to love it, so maybe a less busy day or a different menu item would be fantastic, or maybe people here like their food cooked well done?

Quite possibly the perfect cheeseburger. Large local beef patty. I would estimate close to a half pound. Fresh crisp Bibb lettuce, tomato and diced red onion. Cabbot cheddar. Brioche bun. Mustard, ketchup, mayo. I don't know that I have ever had better! Plus, a side of dirty fries. My favorite. A destination burger spot for sure. You won't be disappointed.

Not the prettiest location, but the food was fantastic!

We are staying at the nearby resort and saw this place listed on their recommended local places. A quick check of Yelp and we were in! It was a short drive from Smugglers Notch and my wife and I were both glad we made the jaunt. It's quite an eclectic sight to see and the employee that took our order, the Boston Red Sox cap wearing young lady, deserves hazard pay and the best employee of the year award! The deck isn't quite finished yet and she had to hang out through the window to take our order. Take a look at the picture. She was fast and funny! Knew her stuff and took cash only! The burgers were some of the best we've had from a burger joint. We would definitely return again! I had the Burger Meister Meister Burger and my wife had a cheeseburger with caramelized onions.

We were pleasantly surprised. The food here was excellent. We started with the fresh bread and maple butter - yum! I had the fish and chips, my spouse had a Greek-style pasta with salmon. My fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crisp crust. The fries were obviously hand cut. My spouse's salmon was also perfectly cooked, and the pasta was tasty, although he questioned the addition of a copious amount of feta. As for beverages, I had iced tea that tasted freshly brewed. Spouse opted for beer. He felt that the beer list, although good, was nothing special. It was mostly IPAs. I wonder if this will change during the high season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As for ambiance, it was rustic in a clean, friendly, and cheerful way.

The poutine was very good, but I'll grant you that it's maybe hard to get that wrong - but their gravy is on point! Service was great - got there around 5:40pm on a Wednesday, so the wait was non-existent and a table for 5 was easy to accommodate. Duncan was the server, who disclosed that he was new but you wouldn't know it from how he took orders and brought food out. Even threw him a curve by asking for the steak frites with an additional side of brussel sprouts, which he handled no problem - even though there weren't any sides I saw on the menu. Steak was medium rare and perfectly seasoned, and I think I mentioned the chimichurri but it deserves additional mention. Maybe you're wondering about beverages. The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out.
