a yellow bus parked in a parking lot

We decided to stop here and grab lunch while we were driving around Burlington on vacation. Got a couple of cheeseburgers and some fries and was not disappointed! The fries are hand cut and were so good. The burger was very good and not very messy. Quick and friendly service made it a very worthwhile trip. Makes me want to take another visit to Burlington while we are in Vermont on vacation!! It's a place where the "been there, done that, got the t-shirt" is a serious thought for me (they didn't have any t-shirts for sale unfortunately due to the pandemic ... but I will get one eventually).

FRIES & DOGS That's what you want to get here. It's a local institution and definitely a MUST TRY. You'll probably like it, a lot of people do. They are especially known for their Michigans. This bus is open just about every day from Spring to Fall during daylight hours. The idea is to buy lunch and eat it in the park. A fun place. This place has NO PHONE NUMBER, thus the bogus number listed.

For nostalgia purposes only. The food is horrible quality, overpriced, and you will be attacked by seagulls while eating it.

Disappointed considering all the hype. Its just average cheeseburgers and fries. No complaints, but no compliments either.

This was mainly due to the great service and delicious meals ordered by each of us in our family of three. Our table was never left waiting and the food was served hot. Our meal choices were varied, including apps such as steak tartar and cheddar ale soup for one and the meatloaf plate and the turkey burger for the others. Everything was made with original flavor additions such as homemade sauces, fresh breads, and unique use of herbs and spices. Lastly, I was told to mention that the hand cut fries were exceptional. Since we visit Burlington often, we look forward to returning to the Farmhouse to try other dishes on their menu or just ordering the same meals since they were so good. We all agreed that this restaurant has definately moved to the top of the list for our next trip to Vt.

I sat down with Noah as my server, and he truly elevated the entire experience. His recommendations were thoughtful and spot-on. I started with the radicchio salad, which was beautifully balanced and full of flavor. There was also a filet mignon addition to the menu that I couldn't pass up -- absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Noah suggested a Cabernet to pair with my meal, and it was the perfect complement. It really tied everything together. Even though I swore I couldn't eat another bite, I ended the evening with the sticky toffee pudding... and I'm so glad I did. It was completely worth making room for. It combines a log cabin feeling with the aesthetic of a modern feeling restaurant. On top of that, every bite that I ate, from the dinner rolls to my pasta entree, was terrific. You won't find food much better than this. That being said, I do think that the menu is a bit overpriced. Everything was very very expensive. If you do go, I highly recommend getting the shareable pastrami. I had a bite of my friend's and it nearly knocked me out of my chair with flavor. So good!

I was lured here because someone said it was better than Bistro de Margo; it was not. Service was good from the server and poor from the bus boys and kitchen. The kitchen failed in many ways. Could I give it fractional scorse it would be 2.6. The server was good and had a phenomenal memory to take all our orders with no notes. Wow! The three appetizers were delivered out of order. One came. Fast forward 20 minutes; the remaining two came out. The appetizer dishes were never cleared. They hung around until we decided not to have desert! The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. Mussels were dehydrated on top of the heap and obvioulsy sat under a heat map. The steaks were cooked well but accompaniments were cold, cool, or barely warm; take your pick none were appetizing. The plates were stone cold which didn't help. Finally after dinner was served and eaten and plates cleared for deserts we did not order the remaining plates and debis were cleared from the table. Not good. Not professional. Not worth the money. The wines were good. The beer was good. Dinner came to $275 plus another $60 tip. It wasn't worth it. There is clealry issues in the kitchen and staff. They were simply not into it. I would not come back. If you want a French dinner look elsewhere or just don't try that in Burlington.

Deep City was a recommendation for brunch from a local. It is the sister restaurant to Foam Brewers (right next door). When we walked in there was a small wait but not bad. We headed over to the brewery to grab coffee and to check it out. It is definitely a cool spot. They have a huge selection of beer, a small wine program (who knew) and small bites. Unfortunately they did not have TVs or else we would've come back to watch the football game but we did purchase some beer before heading back over for brunch at Deep City. The menu here is a little more Mexican-forward think Huevos Rancheros, but there was still plenty of items that looked appealing. We split the banana bread with maple walnut cream cheese (to die for) to share as an app which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a fruit cup which was also good. We then shared their Huevos Verdes which is similar to Huevos Rancheros except it came with a tomatillo salsa. It was good but very sloppy to eat. Overall it was a great experience, and service was phenomenal. A great brunch place while visiting Burlington VT.

Tonight the waiter or manager Matt or "long haired dude" in other post was insanely rude to me this evening. We waited an hour to get a table, expressed discomfort with the table and wanted to move. He told us no multiple times due to a waitlist- how is that possible when the website shows "first come first serve" concept. Anyways we wanted to switch to the bar, told us the bar stools were reserved (how can you reserve a bar stool if you don't accept reservations), then noticed a three top leave as I asked asked to move there as well, he rudely said he had another three top going there and there is no where he could put us, then finally more guest left and I was able to get us a seat at the bar. I was excited to finally change seats and he rudely put his arm out and said "we have to clean it first!!" There are ways you can go about things but he was insanely rude and unprofessional. Then I saw other guest who sat at that uncomfortable table also want to move (that's how shit of a table it was) and then to top it all off this person sat other two tops at three top tables that we were denied because we were a two top. For $70 for a cheeseburger, potato's, and soda I expect kind service. If I can stretch my arms out and touch the backs of guest at the bar and guest to my other side.... The tables are too close together.

The last time my bf and I went we ordered a special which was Dan Dan noodles with pork, the cheeseburger, and burrata with bruschetta to start. All of the food was full of flavor and fair portion size. Restaurant poco does not take reservations in advance. It's easier to get a seat in spring summer or fall when they open up their outdoor seating and so can host more guests. You have to go to put your name on the wait list regardless of the season and even in summertime with more seating it can be a 20-40min wait. They play good funky music which can sometimes be overwhelmingly loud inside (I.e. a jock jam will be playing at club volume level), that's one of my few complaints. You can be at a two person table and only a few feet away from your dinner date but not always hear them. This happens mostly just during the winter. Outdoor seating is nice with outdoor lights and easy to see and hear whomever you're dining with. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as they always have great tasting food and good drinks. A little on the pricier side, but worth it.
