Classic American diner, but better than most, with friendly service, fun interior features, and MUST-HAVE maple walnut toast.

Superb blueberry pancakes and the staff was great! As others have said, the local art on the walls was pretty cool.

I also enjoy all of the "quirky" local art that is displayed around the restaurant.

Wow is not the right adjective, but pretty damn close…read more I am in town for a couple days. Found a nice air bnb up the road which gives me one hour drive access to Bolton, Jay, and Cannon. Anyways, came back from Jay tonight and needed dinner and even though I stopped at the gas station/mart down the road and grabbed a sandwich I still felt I needed dinner (saving the sandwich for tomorrow.) Popped in and knew this was the right decision. Missed the special menu but the pesto flatbread sounded good. I went with the pot roast dinner which was phenomenal. Fell apart with a fork, vegetables were cooked spot on, and think they were deep fried mashed potatoes? That or panko covered. Ether way they were like cheese balls that were yummy. Service was excellent. The cashier had the best cheerful smile and attitude. She also served and bused the tables so she was always asking everyone one everything was. Place is inviting, I can only imagine what the vibe is in the morning when they serve breakfast. Probably will pop in when I head out of town to fuel up for the ride home. This place is definitely worth the stop not only because of what I wrote but because it's a local business and you should avoid the quick fast meal spots.

I…read morefigured I couldn't find anything up in the mountains but lo and behold I found Auntie Dee Dee. I walked in and was immediately greeted by what I assume is her family. There were 2 younger girls and a man in there. All friendly and chatted with me and explained what each of the things were that they had left. I got a Raspberry Scone, Cinnamon Roll, and Lemon Bar, I just couldn't make up my mind so I had to get them all. The cinnamon roll was at least 5-6" wide and just absolutely to die for. The brown sugar pecan glaze cooked through the layers and rolled in was amazing and I ended up eating the entire thing in one sitting. I didn't care if it was going to make me sick or not. Even at room temperature it was that good, I can't imagine warmed up for a few seconds how much different it would be. The lemon bar was perfectly tart and not sour at all and smooth and creamy and again, all around amazing. The flavor of the scone was great, a little harder than I would have liked it to be, but it tasted great, and I'm sure with some coffee it would have been that much better when softened slightly. Nevertheless everything I got was amazing and wish it wasn't 700+ miles from home.

Been here several times on MTB trips. Deserves 6 stars. Worth the wait. The food is amazing. Get…read morehere early.
