The patio is lovely to sit on and highly recommend it if they have space. It's shady in the evening. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, so friendly and knew the menu so well. Drinks were great. We tried a cocktail and thought they were very impressive and well-made. Food did come out quick, so that was nice. It was pretty good. I tried the eggplant ricotta and the eggplant was very thick cut and chewy. Parts of it tasted amazing, not sure why only parts of it though . Honestly, I don't recommend that particular dish. My husband had the salmon and it was pretty good.

Arrived in the area around 9 pm and was having trouble finding a restaurant that was open. This was the only local place that was open. Walked in, and the place had an industrial vibe to it. Immediately, the staff greeted and seated us. We were close to the kitchen closing and quickly made some decisions. Overall the food was fine. The calamari had a twist to it with having olives added to it. I wasn't expecting it bit didn't mind it.

What an amazing addition to the downtown St Johnsbury food scene! This cozy and friendly restored mill wows with a 360 degree copper bar, exposed brick and beams, and vintage newspaper art. The menu has plenty of options- from burger and fries to Italian specialties. Of important note is the great volume of gluten free options ( over 10 on the menus- and none of them a salad)- hard to find in most cities- extremely rare in northern Vermont. Service , timing and quality did not disappoint. This is a must go if you are in the area.

Piccata di pollo added over a bed of linguine pasta with chefs veggies (garlic butter green beans) and truffle fries.

Food was great, service stunk. Live music tonight had a good vibe. Loved the teriyaki wings and chicken piccata

I loved the Negroni I got, and my…read morepartner's drink was this interesting combination of straight Mescal in a glass, a Mexican beer called Modelo, and orange slices with smoky pepper seasoning sprinkled on them. I had never had that before, and it was a delicious pairing. The server was so accommodating about my food allergies. It's been a recent development, so I forgot to tell her till after we had ordered appetizers. She went in the kitchen and modified what they were making in the moment so that I could eat it. I was so grateful. Her and the bartender were in communication with me about which dishes would be safe for me to eat, so they really try to help people in that department. Everything I ate was delicious. Especially the cauliflower bites, pan seared tuna and cauliflower risotto. They hand made me a salad dressing so it would be allergy friendly and it was delicious. I loved looking at the cool stuff on the walls (everything I saw was genuine and relevant to the theme, not just "old stuff" like other restaurants), and the bathroom is astounding. I really enjoyed coming here and I am excited to come again.

You would think the mashed potatoes or braised short rib would soften up the dish but quite the opposite. It was a little hard to eat. We had to use some of the sauce from the Vermont butter chicken dish to finish the rest of the shepherds pie. The Vermont butter chicken was OK. I'm used to traditional butter chicken which has lots of spices as we are big fans of Indian food. So the butter chicken did lack some depth. The triple B and smash burger were on the other hand delicious The drinks all around were a disappointment. I ordered one their margarita, and it tasted so bland. My companions also did not like their cocktails that they resorted to beer the next round. The staff was very friendly although our waitress seemed some what new, as she got confused with the menu a few times. The distillery itself seems to be a popular place but likely more for gin tasting. The venue is spacious and suitable for families. I like that they have different rooms, which can accommodate for groups.

We pulled in the lot a couple minutes till five and there were six or eight cars with people Waiting for the hour to ring! The waitresses and bartender did great with that initial slam. My wife and I chose to sit at the bar and be patient as they caught up. We opened with adult beverages, their bourbon smashed for me and their special coffee for my wife. We also ordered Fried pickles to open. The fried pickles appeared to be hand, cut, dipped and fried. They were delicious! We thought the dill ranch sauce served with the pickles was delicious as well. After quizzing our server about what was good and if we were only going to eat there once, what should we have, I ordered their Vermont Chicken and my wife their chicken Parmesan. I thought the Vermont chicken was extremely good! Just a tinge of maple syrup, sweetness, and the sauce and the chicken with fried apples and cheese! Simply delicious. I also ordered their sautéed potatoes which had that same sweetness. My wife's chicken Parmesan was a huge dish! We ended up taking a large chunk of it home as well as half of my chicken. We decided on their bacon, chocolate sundae, happy we did as it was delicious! The restaurant itself was clean and well kept, and all the servers seem to be positive, professional, and friendly! All in all a terrific meal here in Vermont!
