a pizza on a cutting board
    Tim G.

Stopped in while traveling through the area. We had stopped here a couple years back when it was under a different name, but the same owners. We were very happy with the food, and the service was great. We actually asked for something no longer on the menu...(it was on the old menu..). They accommodated our request and it was fantastic! I would come back and would recommend it.

    Crappy raw onion blossom
    Matt K.

Traveling from out of town and decided to give this place a try. We ordered a few of the gourmet pizzas and an onion blossom. The box to one of the pizzas was falling out through the bottom due to there being too much water on the pizza. Likely from the tomato. Great start. The other two sounded great in theory. Good flavor ideas. There was absolutely no flavor though. Very bland. The crust on the other hand WAS very good... they should scrap the whole menu and sell bread. Let's talk about the onion blossom, I mean train wreck. It wasn't cut right, it was undercooked, and had no sauce. No sauce was even offered. When you can hold an onion petal, and the entire onion blossom lifts up with it, there's a problem. The whole underneath was still full of batter. Complete junk and totally inedible. How anyone can put that in a take out container and think it's ok to serve that to someone is beyond me. Definitely will not be back. Very aggravated.

Been there several more times after that first experience and they never let me down. Everyone here makes great pizza and Stromboli or calzones or whatever it actually gets called. No reason to not keep coming here for excellent pizza. Yay Kingdom Crust!!!

Got served within 15 minutes at Pizza Hut!

Thought we'd try this place again today for lunch when we know it's not too busy. Arrived at 11:38am to an empty dining room. We sat ourselves, saw a bunch of people "dusting" the chairs, so figured they've seen us. After sitting for a while without being acknowledged, no menu nor drink, we just got up at 11:50am and went to Pizza Hut down the road. Really like their pizza, but just need to get it on our table somehow...

Kind service and quality pizza. I was impressed with the crust and the overall bake. I'll return next time I'm in St. J

Just stopped in for a couple of slices after a long drive. Large, delicious slices with crispy crust, reasonably priced.

She was friendly and knowledgeable! We decided on their pretzels to start with. They are very interesting and tasty! Enjoyed the horseradish cheese sauce that came with them. We were not sure about the pizzas so we got two! :-) We decided on their pepperoni and their buffalo chicken pies. Both were absolutely delicious! I was trying to find a beer that I really enjoyed. My first was their higher ABV IPA. That was not bad but did not hit me. Next in line was their Porter, again not bad but not what I was looking for. I settled on the No Quarter ESB. It was good enough to bring some home! We enjoyed the live music, they were very good to hear! Will probably make another stop before we depart the area.

We got the reuben to share (which is a must) and we think it's the best reuben we've ever had. The sauce is incredible. We also shared an order of the barn nachos but I could've easily eaten the whole thing myself! Beer was delicious too but I am not a beer drinker myself, so I had a coke, and they have lots of non-alcoholic options. No AC inside so it's pretty hot in the summer, but as the sun went down it was tolerable. This place is a gem and if we're ever back in Danville, we will be back!

It was intriguing to peek behind the curtain and they even offer paid tours. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and enthusiastic about the products. We loved the chill vibe of the location, as they had an open outdoors area with seating and lawn games, including disc golf and corn hole. There was also an outdoor patio with a couch and stage for live performances. It was a place I could see myself kicking back at on the regular if I were local to the area. The location was not serving food when we visited though a food truck was located on site and said it would be opening in May. They did have complementary bags of pretzels available for guests to take. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the fun merch for sale. We purchased a hat. My husband enjoyed his beer and regrets not purchasing a four pack to take home.

Workers were very friendly and welcoming inside. The inside had some bar seating and some table seating with someone playing piano. The menu has a variety of different sandwiches. I started with a hot chocolate and the elote dip. Hot chocolate was nothing special but was good on a cold day. The elote dip was delicious! Warm and cheesy! Yum! I then ordered the falafel pita. It wasn't my favorite. The falafel was crisp but I didn't love the homemade gluten free pita. It was not fluffy and was just kinda bland. The fries were made well! Thick and very crispy. So while on a trip and looking for a spot to grab some lunch naturally we ended up picking this spot. I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? If you visit during warmer weather it appeared they have a huge outdoor area further back than we were in as well! If you like visiting breweries add this to your list to check out!

This brewery was known to be superior 8 or so years ago. Us hop heads in CT dreamed about it but never tasted. We were curious, their location was intriguing. It also made us skeptical. So the snow is falling, it's approaching 4pm, the drive brings you up a hill on the dirt road. Add beer to the uncertainty of the moment, it was perfect for anxiety, excitement and first tastes. Draft one was a nitro stout. Yeah, like Guinness but... UNBELIEVABLE. Just that good. Then an IPA close to their origin. Simple. Again, UNBELIEVABLE. Easy sell, I bought each 4 pack available. Asked for a restaurant in Montpelier. The Three Penny Taproom was... UNBELIEVABLE. (Chickpeas, Chicken Nuggs and Hill Farmstead all over the place.) Of course the brewery guys recommended it, and the gas station at Willey's in Greensboro. So we survived the "brief flurry", and a Taproom extraordinaire. The beer is ready for a Connecticut Christmas and will be compared to the beer from Burlington, Stowe and Deerfield. All great brews. The anticipation of enjoying Hill Farmstead beer was just as exciting as the trip and first taste. So, If you need a trip, find them. No complaining about the distance and remoteness, please. It's where they are. Yeah, you can find the beer in other places in state. I look forward to getting it at those spots. I look forward to seeing the brewery in the summer!

We drive over an hour--each way--on a busy Saturday morning just to get our hands on Tony's fresh donuts, bagels, and that perfect Friday night pizza. And it's worth every mile. Tony is one helluva chef. His baking skills? Impeccable. Whether it's a pastry or a pizza, everything is made fresh, with love, and you can taste it. His pizza is NEVER soggy, always hot, perfectly cooked, and topped with the freshest cheese. And the sauce... oh man, the sauce. I go in for lunch and order plain boneless wings just so I can dip them in Tony's red sauce instead of the usual dressings. That sauce is so good, I've been known to eat the leftovers with a spoon. It's rich and flavorful but never leaves you with that heavy, acidic regret some sauces do. It's just right. Now let's talk seafood. Yes, seafood. In Vermont. And it's some of the best I've ever had. Tony brings it in fresh, and when he's out, he's out--and I love that. It shows integrity. No "carryover specials," no shortcuts. Just honest, high-quality food made fresh and served with pride. The whole place is a gem. Anthony and Nancy are the kind of owners who care deeply about what they're serving and who they're serving it to. Donna's always there with a smile, helping out and keeping things moving. It feels like family when you walk through the door. If anyone says they're not awesome, I'd bet money it's a jealous competitor trying to figure out how to get a piece of the Tirozzis magic. Because let's be real--there's no faking what they do.
