Recently refurbished, this friendly pub is situated on a prime corner plot and has ample parking space at the rear, as well as a beer garden. Previously known as a bit of a 'rough 'n' ready' pub, this establishment has gone decidedly upmarket and has splashed the cash on expensive designer leather sofas and a huge purple pool table.
The usual drinks - good selection of beers, wines and spirits - are available, with seasonal faves like a chilled jug of Pimms for £12, which you can share with friends. On the downside however, although there is a stylish restaurant, which offers a good selection of meat and veggie dishes and fresh salads, service finishes far too early and there are no bar nibbles (crisps or nuts) available! read more
