Wandering outside to get some fresh air, we admired the large beer garden at the back, and my husband and I went on the swings! Very peaceful out there, with the antique tractor at the back, and the view over the field of daisies. Lots of lovely colourful hanging baskets of flowers in the front too, and I loved the foxgloves planted right by the painted sign "The Fox Revived"... I ordered the 18 oz t-bone (medium rare), chips and cesar salad. Plenty of chips, they were longer hot and little soggy by the time they got out. The steak was the real disappointment. The cook was rare bordering on blue with very little seasoning. Additionally there was no sear on the steak and it was real tough. The fibers were present through the meat and it was poorly trimmed resulting in almost a fourth of it being inedible. The cesar dressing was real mayo forward. The atmosphere was great with plenty of folks and you could tell weekends are fun. This may have been an off meal but my food on this trip was not representative of the reviews.
