There are several dining rooms, with a larger one in what appears to be an annex. They must have tour groups that come through as they were clear about out needing to finish before a certain hour (that was fine with us as our tickets to Highclere Castle were for entry within the hour). There were a number of items on the menu that looked good. It's basically all traditional British pub fare. Since it was Sunday, I think there was a special roast menu. I opted for the daily pie (chicken and ham) and my partner got the trio of roasted meats. Both came with vegetables and huge roasted potatoes. He also got what looked like a popover, which I later found out was Yorkshire pudding. Service was good! The place has a very friendly atmosphere. Hubs had fish n chips (he never gets tired of it) and said it was the best one of our trip. I had the hoisin duck salad. The duck was shredded and crispy. Yum! I found the sauce a bit sweet, but with a little vinegar it was perfect. Neighbors were coming and going, greeting each other happily -- terrific atmosphere.
