Fab pub!
Nice family run traditional pub with plenty of real ales, lager, spirits and also proper coffee. The food is outstanding, especially the Sunday roast, at just £6.95 for carvery or £10 with pudding, it's definitely well worth a visit. The roasts are, the only way I can describe as mums home roast dinner, proper gravy and all the trimmings. You can have as much or as little as you like..it is a carvery after all. If you are a vegetarian, the chef, who is also the owner by the way, will quite literally go out of her way to make you something special. So if you're booking, don't forget to mention it and she'll have something prepared ready for when you are.
It is a locals pub, which isn't a bad thing. All friendly and like a good banter. It's also very family friendly, kids are allowed which is great!!
There is also a function room attached which can be hired with their resident dj. This room is also a nightclub on a Friday and Saturday night if you ever fancy a boogie when on your travels.
Definitely a pub worth visiting..... read more
