I really like this studio. I like the teachers and the classes. I love that the studio is huge, clean, has high ceilings and 10 poles. I've always felt welcomed and supported here and I think the teachers are talented, knowledgeable, and interested in your progress. The only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars is they only offer a few classes every day and usually after 6pm! I wish they had morning classes like other studios because I have more energy when I start my day. read more

I love this place!!!! They have two rooms with lots of pole and aerial rigs and space to stretch and chill, two bathrooms and a lobby with a shop that sells sexy heels, adorable pole outfits, kneepads, grip, and everything else u could possibly want for a great pole or aerial workout!! I started doing aerial at another studio and had been there for a couple of months. To me, the atmosphere and their way of teaching was normal. I was so wrong! Coming to The Vertitude I found wonderful instructors who tailor their instruction to your level and do it safely. All the students and teachers are welcoming and cheer you on. When I first came I was so nervous and shy, but everyone was so nice and helpful that I couldn't help but to love the studio as much as I love my own home. Everyone here is family and I it was the best decision I ever made to start coming here. I never imagined I would advance so fast, but with national champion instructors and all the support you could wish for, I was able to accomplish much more than I dreamed. I even started competing! Competing isn't for everyone, but it was nice to be able to showcase what I had learned. The training process with all of the ups and downs made me love my pole family that much more and it brought me to a whole new level of respect for those who do put themselves out there for others to watch. Basically my pole and aerial life is my social life! Who wouldn't want to spend time with such fabulous people? And bonus: The Vertitude is one of, if not the cheapest studio in LA! I didn't care for this place. I tried silks at another location (which was awesome but a bit far), and decided to try a groupon of 10 classes here. I only went to two and decided I'd rather lose money than continue going to Vertitude. The instructors were nice and knowledgeable, but I didn't care for the facility. It doesn't seem clean and they have a horrible ventilation system. The equipment is all worn and torn. I would say the worst part was the manager/owner. I didn't want to take any more classes because I really did not enjoy them at this facility nor did I have the time to do so because of work and they were expiring soon. I tried to ask if I could transfer them over to someone else and they were extremely inflexible to do so, and I couldn't get a refund. Their attitude was definitely the worst part. I won't go back or recommend it. read more

Pole is extremely difficult, unless you are a martian, gymnast, or a dancer. I am none of the top 3. But, the instructors at the Vertitude make me feel I am lol. This studio is AMAZING! ALL of the instructors are inviting, patient, kind, fun, and excellent! Even the subs! They are about safety and helping you be comfortable! I have learned so much from all of the teachers. I have dealt with some neck and back injuries and Sergia is very careful about what I should try. Pole has help my injuries tremendously! All of the classes are fun and challenging. I walk out feeling like a champ! The studio is always clean! I've gone to one studio and did NOT want to take my shoes or clothes off! Definitely not roll on the floor. The poles are abt 16ft and come in different coatings: stainless steel, chrome, and brass. They have mats for warmup but bring your own. They are typically for first timers bc they are only a few available. The merchandise is cool! They have crash mats! The instructors are excellent spotters! It's a growing studio, so I can't wait for them to expand to a bigger place. Even though it's spacious, Chrissy's 1/2 class and Veronika Pole's classes are filling up! They have done recent renovation and it's definitely aesthetically pleasing and has wonderful ambience w the colors, curtain, and lighting. Had a birthday Pole Party at The Vertitude. They were friendly and very accommodating. The instructor (Sergia) was gentle and encouraging, letting everyone participate at their own comfort level. Everyone joined in and had a blast! The way she taught made it so easy for everyone to put together a little "ensemble" of moves on and off the pole. I love the Vertitude! After a bad experience with my last pole studio leaving a bad taste in my mouth, I set out to find a new studio. As soon as I took my first class, I was taken aback by how wonderful the teachers are and the whole atmosphere. I feel very safe attempting new tricks, because I know that they are not only tailored to my level, but the teacher is there with me 100%. I love that they offer both static and spinning poles in 45mm and 50mm and in brass and chrome! They not only teach pole and the dancing and self discovery that goes with it, but they teach Krav Maga, Salsa, Pilates, and Zumba. The pricing is extremely competitive, the instructors are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and many are nationally ranked competitors. There is great parking, classes are at variable times to meet differing schedules, and several levels of classes to meet everyone's needs. What really makes this studio special is that they make you feel very at home. I originally went to "The Vertitude" strictly for pole. Wanting to expand my pole moves, style options and of course fitness I found that the instructor, Sergia, was the perfect mix of talent and energy I was looking for. After my first pole class I stayed for the next Krav Maga class with Duncan. He has an amazing way of teaching useful techniques for real life situations as well as making you feel like a total bada**. Not only are the work outs and classes addicting the environment and people just send the whole experience over the top. I can't wait to see what these talented people bring to this studio. I've been here twice... I came here with a friend of mine back in April for their potluck, and another time, to watch our mutual friend perform for their May showcase. My friend had invited us to come check it out so we did. I've always wanted to try out what it's like to pole and I wanted to finally see what the hype was all about. I have three young children, so it's hard sometimes to find time just for me. Mind you, at the time, I was living in the Lancaster/Palmdale area, so driving here was a long commute! But now, I moved back home, closer to the valley. I have never taken any kind of pole or circus-type classes before, as I'm used to regular dieting & exercising, so this was all brand new to me. I didn't know what to expect but I came here with an open mind. Let me tell you, I had fun & enjoyed myself! We kind of got lost since their billboard sign wasn't that big, & we ended up parking on the street, since the lot was filled. Let's be honest, if I had gone there alone, I would've felt so awkward & out of place. The vibe wasn't really friendly; the atmosphere reminded me of when I was back in high school - clicky & catty. Sure, there were some people there who seemed nice, but for the most part, I felt the fakeness. The female owner wasn't that friendly & never spoke to my friend & I. In fact, she was sitting in a group of her friends the whole time, with her beautiful dog. I wish she would've acknowledged us. Our friend who trains there tried introducing us, but never got the chance to. The other girls didn't really talk to us, but really only one girl. I wish I remembered her name but sadly, I don't. Anyways, we got to try out all the different apparatuses that they have their: pole, the hoop, & the silky ribbons. It was definitely interesting, and an intense workout! I'd come back now that I live back in the valley, but only if I had the money. Their drop-in rates are pretty expensive... $30 for pole, $40 for aerial. So fast forward to their May show, it was pretty awesome, I must say! I've never seen so much talent in one room exhibit their skills. But the $20 entrance fee was steep; I expected more performers, more drinks & food. There was also miscommunication on the staff's part regarding ticket sales. I was hearing tickets could ONLY be purchased online & that they weren't going to sell any at the door. Come to find out, they were selling tickets at the door! I'd be petrified to even perform something like that! I wonder how they all keep from bruising up 'cause it takes a lot of strength!!! There was this guy who did the ribbons & feel from his feet; I thought he was going to hurt himself! Keep in mind none of the performers had any mats below to catch them! read more

I've been to many pole studios all over the country, DC, NY, LA and Texas! But Vertitude is without doubt the best! The instructors are so nice and the skill level is like triple black belt! OMG I just got back from a level 1 pole class with the owner Sergia. It was sooo much fun! Sergia really has one of the best jobs in the world. She seems like she has so much fun teaching. This is my 6th day of taking pole fitness. I have an unlimited membership so I've taken 9 classes already. I've learned so much about myself within these 6 days. I am not all that coordinated and I take a long time to get steps down, but all the instructors are very patient and helpful. The environment is very safe, comfortable and there is no judging. There are people of all skill levels at the Vertitude. There are guys and girls and the ages are very diverse. Sergia taught us a really sexy cool combo tonight. I was so proud of myself for getting it down. Pole fitness is such a good workout. I was sweating like crazy just from doing the combo over and over. I am always sad when class is over. All I want to do is go to pole class. If you are going to go to any pole studio go to The Vertitude. You won't be disappointed. read more

If you're looking for a place to start pole, THIS IS IT. The people are incredibly friendly, the staff are talented a fun, and the environment is the perfect fit for a newbie. I wish they had more aerial options, there's only the tuesday and thursday night at about 8:00 or 8:30, so sometimes I end up missing class. Also, I wish the ceilings were higher, but again, that's just for aerial. They offer both aerial silks and hoop! All the instructors I've had have been amazing. The aerial teachers are right with you, ready to give you instruction and help you out if you get knotted (I've been at studios where people sit on the floor to give instruction). The pole teachers do the same, but because there are (I think) nine poles at the studio sometimes they can get a little stretched. It doesn't really cut down on the experience, though, because there are many pole champions on different levels who train as students there. They often will help someone they see is struggling. Most of them would love it if you came up and asked for a little bit of help! The only cons I have are: -lowish ceiling -there's not much parking -It's REALLY hard to find, and their sign is still for a krav maga/pole studio, which this is not. The pros, spelled out: -fantastic staff -wonderful studio--it's clean, bright, and has plenty of space for people -wonderful environment--meaning the attitude of students who attend as well as of the staff and the front desk associate. -good music -talented peers to learn from -lots of apparatuses to learn I really want to emphasize: IF YOU'RE NEW TO POLE OR AERIAL THIS IS THE PLACE TO LEARN IT. I personally will go out of my way to talk to someone I've never seen around the studio before and I know of several students who actively do the same. It's a scary thing you're trying here, so if you feel ignored or ostracized it makes it so much more difficult to learn. When new people achieve something, it's not uncommon for the whole room to cheer and applaud. Actually, when anyone achieves anything, it's not uncommon for the whole room to cheer and applaud. I hear about "The Vertitude" through a friend. I was told that it was a one stop shop for fitness. You can learn various forms of dance, also self defense in Krav Maga to protect yourself as well as get in shape. I've been there a few times for the Krav Maga classes and they are informative and easy to learn. The best part is you have fun while getting a great workout. First let me say that I hate gyms and I'm over the age of 60! Oh, did I mention I hate working out too?! Went to the Grand Opening, took one look at the Krav Maga demo, and I was hooked! Have been going ever since. Dunkin has me doing things I never thought I could do, Travis takes a personal interest in everyone and Mitch will not let me say, "I can't do that"! Did I say I was hooked? Well I am!!! These guys and gals are terrific, the gym is in excellent condition! I said I was hooked, didn't I? Now the best part of all, is they push you, but never beyond the point that would hurt you and are always checking in with you to make sure all is OK! That's dedication to the student! I love the Verititude. The instructors are great. I have learned so much from Sergia and Iris. They are very good at challenging you, but still keeping new moves within your reach. They have a good variety of classes and times. It's a safe and clean environment and has good parking which seems to be rare for pole studios. I am picky about poles and they have great poles--tall and they all go from spin to static easily. Both the owners are committed to their clients. They really care about you and your progress. They also have great performance nights for their students. Again you don't find this at just every studio. The prices are very reasonable. I also took a self-defense workshop there. It was great. I felt empowered and ready to kick ass. So don't sneak up on me in a dark alley. Thanks to Duncan's instruction, I will take you out :-) I really can't say enough good things. read more

BEST workout EVER! Pole Fitness is AMAZING! I started pole fitness three weeks ago- after my first class I was UBER sore but all the tension in my shoulders was gone! In particular, their aerial instructors are excellent and challenging. My only complaint is that I wish morning classes were offered as evening and night classes can be hard for me to attend. read more

The Vertitude is amazing, as most others have said! I took my very first pole class here, and boy was I nervous! I am a bigger girl, tall and lengthy, so it's pretty hard to feel sexy when your my size, but The Vertitude helped me get in touch with my sexy side. I thought I would feel awkward and judged, but I wasn't! It was so awesome to feel so welcomed into a community of women, I have always been labeled as a "tom boy" or "one of the guys" so to feel completely welcome by a group of women is something I never thought was possible. I'm coming up on my eighth month as a member of the vertitude. And I can honestly say, the past eight months have been filled with great experiences. As I've gotten to learn many new things, such as pole fitness, salsa, pilates, zumba, krav maga, and just recently, burlesque. I originally came into the vertitude looking for a boxing class, but when I came up on a great deal on groupon, I decided krav maga was close enough and I gave it a shot and sure enough, I loved it. The instructors are great ! They do their best to make sure you get your techniques on point. Although I signed up with the intent of doing krav maga, as an unlimited member, I was able to try more than just krav. I learned how to get in touch with my latin side in salsa, and my sexy side in pole fitness. I like pole fitness because its a great class to go and relax to, with it's calming atmosphere, and soothing music, along with stretching sessions that last for a half hour. Krav is great when I feel like getting my aggression out, and even better to defend myself if I were ever to encounter an attack out in real life. Over the past few months I can honestly say I've learned a lot and have watched myself progressively get better in each class. I enjoy each one equally. Although some people might find they love one more than the others, it's just up to you and your taste. I have grown close with the members and they have become like a second family to me. At the vertitude, you are always guaranteed to have a good time, as well as a great work out. So if you're looking for something new , this is definitely the place for you. With it's many new additions, such as aerial hoops and tissues, and ever expanding class schedule, you are bound to never get bored. Personally, I love it because its right around the corner of my home, walking distance even, but if it wasn't I'd still make the trip because it's worth it ! So give it a shot, and spread the word.
