Any time we're back in the area, I love love love coming to the Veil! We're from Denver and have our share of great breweries, but there's something special about Veil that draws me back every time - I dream about their Never Again raspberry gose. I got a few tasters to try and neither sour disappointed. There was ample seating outside for a nice and sunny day! Only gripe is stickers should be free - c'mon, it's 2025 and we're spending lots of money at your brewery ;) Great visit again.

Had our dogs with us, so had to stay outside but had An awesome time! Plenty of picnic tables and standing tables which we liked even better! They had bike racks which were really convenient to tie our dogs to, and the vibe was fun. They had Mexican music playing which felt odd for a brewery- but we were digging it. The beer list is out of this world! Was so hard to pick, I had to ask someone in line for help. Beer was incredible! Can't wait to try more in the future!

Best grilled corn I've had at a restaurant - but the chicken I got was noooot good which was a bummer. I think the sauce was some sort of miso mayo and it wasn't that great either. But the corn stole the show and was enough for me. My friend wanted to come here as she is a beer fanatic, and she did say all the beers she had were chef's kiss! We sat in the outdoor seating area which was huge and cute vibes! Slightly a self service place. You order at the front, given a buzzer, and when it buzzes you can go grab your food and bring it to the table.

Visiting for a work trip and took advantage of some free time to visit a brewery I have drank plenty of but never visited. Walking in, I knew to expect hazy ipas and barrel aged stouts. I was not let down! The venue felt very new and was super clean. It had a cool little food venue built in with several seats, and a nice little merchandise section. The beer options were plentiful and I was sad I could only have a couple small pours due to plans later in the evening. I was really hoping for some smaller flight size options but they do not offer them. As someone who previously bartended, I understand not having them but I still was hopeful! I was pleasantly surprised by a solid whiskey list alongside the beers. The to go cooler was also loaded with all kinds of goodies. The staff was knowledgeable and easily pointed out some crowd favorites, personal favorites and suggestions based on my preferences. Great beer tender, I didn't catch his name but he was a smaller statue guy, tattoos, and wearing what was maybe a long kilt? I look forward to revisiting and grabbing some food as well as more beers.

I've been a fan of The Veil since their first location. This location on Moore Street (although the address is Belleville) is even nicer. Met a colleague here last night for a work session. Ordered my lager and fried chicken and found a spot on the patio to pop open my laptop and get to work. Nice, open space with large tables and umbrellas should it be needed to shield you from the sun. Open area inside as well with sexy event space, too. My lager hit the spot. The fried chicken was fried a little too hard and past tender, but the flavor was pretty good. Parking can be tricky, especially since the implementation of those strange bike lanes. Oh, and please fix the "ramp" inside the front door. It cannot possibly be graded to code. I stutter step on it each and every time.

This place is massive. They have plenty of drink options, beyond just brews. They had cocktails and frozen drinks too. They also serve food too. Plenty of standing and seating area, order at the counter so no real table service (not a con), the line moves quick.

    Three amazing beers.

I've loved beers from the veil for years. Therefore, I had high hopes from a brewery visit. This place did not disappoint. The beers are always absolutely phenomenal. The vibe of the place was laid-back but urban. Service was kind and outstanding. I wish we had more time to spend there, because the restaurant inside the brewery smelled amazing. I highly recommend.

Veil was one of two breweries a friend recommended when I was in Richmond. There are a slew of breweries in the area so parking is difficult to find. Veil has an open layout with plenty of parking. Food is limited in options with a focus on large dishes and not typical food. There were about 25 beers across multiple styles and you can get flights. The 3 that I tried were tasty to me but everyone has their own preferences. Definitely worth a stop during a beer crawl.

    Master Shredder IPA!

Recently got to try a beer from The Veil Brewing and I have to say that it was a fairly decent experience! The Master Shredder is what Steve and I had. It's a New England IPA and was pretty refreshing! With tropical, hoppy and dry flavors this light and smooth beer would be great with pub fare type food!

The Veil in Scotts Addition has moved to it's new location this past weekend. They are now located at 1509 Belleville Street (Same block as Tang & Biscuit) The new location is totally brand new, roomier, stylish and divided into multiple types of seating. There are indoor community tables, dining type tables and solo bar top type tables. Outside there's modern outdoor couches and coffee tables. All of their taxidermy animals have made the move as well so they tried to maintain some of the old vibe. The beer and beverage menu has greatly expanded and improved. There's a wider range of different types of beers, ciders, wine and even a few mixed cocktails on tap ( the Japanese Old Fashioned is very good!). There still seems to be slow service and you should expect to wait on a long line to purchase beverages. I was hoping this did not carry over from the old location. The new location now has a restaurant named "Nokoribi" which serves Japanese influenced light fare. I didn't try any food this visit since you have to wait on the same long beer line to order food as well. **NOTE - I did notice this morning on Instagram that the Veil posted that online food ordering will be available soon. So this will be a nice option to order food directly from an app or website. This was their opening weekend and they did have a live DJ outside along with a lobster roll pop up outside. It was a fun atmosphere and I'm looking forward to returning to sample some of the food options and taste some of their other beers.

Do they still have the pizza truck there?

The Veil has a different food truck each night. If you go to their webpage they have what food truck will be there that day under the hours..."Todays food vendor".

Very big plus is our beers were half off because we also stumbled upon happy hours. The whole place was pretty big, and had a good arcade section. For their arcade, you have to use a card that you buy credits on to. In our opinion, the games were a little expensive. I think it's more directed towards parents who want to drink and offload their kids in this area, but for those of us already spending a good amount on drinks, the price on the games kinda sucks. We're used to a cover for all you can play or something a little more affordable. They do have a lot of great, newer games. It definitely kept us entertained for a while. They also had a great variety. It was pretty empty when we got there a little after lunch, but by 4pm or so it started raining and they were PACKED. The drinks were good, nothing special. A couple draft cocktails that tasted like you would expect. Some good beer options. It's a great spot in the area, huge bar area that can fit a lot of people and a really great patio.

Their "build-your-own" flight setup is genius--you choose anywhere from 2 to 10 tasters, and pricing is based on the beer you pick. Each one is clearly labeled on the menu at the bar, making it super easy to mix, match, and share. My boyfriend and I grabbed a couple each and built our own "couples flight." Highly recommend this approach if you're rolling deep with friends--rounds for the win! Now the beer. The Mango Gose was light and fruity without the pucker-punch, and the Cherry Cobbler Sour was refreshingly chill with just a little tang. But the real MVP? The Lucky Charms marshmallow beer. YES, it was bright green. YES, it smelled like it should be in a cereal bowl. And YES, it tasted like childhood nostalgia with a buzz. I was skeptical... and then I was converted. My boyfriend enjoyed several IPAs and gave them two enthusiastic hops up. Food-wise, no kitchen here--but they rotate food trucks/food setups, which keeps things fresh. They also offer the cutest little snack jars--1 for $2 or all 3 for $5. Just enough to crave that sweet (or salty) tooth! Gummy worms, M&Ms, trail mix... it's giving snack bar meets brewery energy, and I'm into it. The space is big inside with an eclectic, funky vibe (some weird wall decor, but we'll call it personality), and a solid outdoor area with long beer garden tables. Plenty of room to sip, snack, and stay a while. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I day drink the day away here if I had more time? Without hesitation. Just shy of five stars because it's missing food on-site consistently, but the drinks, snacks, and vibe totally make it worth the visit. Lucky Charms beer forever.
