Chicken bacon sandwich. Large and yummy.

Have been just twice and loved the service, beer, and food both times. Went a Monday and a Friday. So different vibes. But both great. Recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun atmosphere, very loud![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating space, inside & outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beers are fantastic and we got some fries from Remedy Burger, which were great! Can't wait to come back for burgers one night! Definitely a cool brewery!

Any time we're back in the area, I love love love coming to the Veil! We're from Denver and have our share of great breweries, but there's something special about Veil that draws me back every time - I dream about their Never Again raspberry gose. I got a few tasters to try and neither sour disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was ample seating outside for a nice and sunny day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only gripe is stickers should be free - c'mon, it's 2025 and we're spending lots of money at your brewery ;) Great visit again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had our dogs with us, so had to stay outside but had An awesome time! Plenty of picnic tables and standing tables which we liked even better![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had bike racks which were really convenient to tie our dogs to, and the vibe was fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had Mexican music playing which felt odd for a brewery- but we were digging it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beer list is out of this world! Was so hard to pick, I had to ask someone in line for help. Beer was incredible! Can't wait to try more in the future!

Grilled corn karaage chicken

Best grilled corn I've had at a restaurant - but the chicken I got was noooot good which was a bummer. I think the sauce was some sort of miso mayo and it wasn't that great either. But the corn stole the show and was enough for me. My friend wanted to come here as she is a beer fanatic, and she did say all the beers she had were chef's kiss! We sat in the outdoor seating area which was huge and cute vibes! Slightly a self service place. You order at the front, given a buzzer, and when it buzzes you can go grab your food and bring it to the table.

Visiting for a work trip and took advantage of some free time to visit a brewery I have drank plenty of but never visited. Walking in, I knew to expect hazy ipas and barrel aged stouts. I was not let down! The venue felt very new and was super clean. It had a cool little food venue built in with several seats, and a nice little merchandise section. The beer options were plentiful and I was sad I could only have a couple small pours due to plans later in the evening. I was really hoping for some smaller flight size options but they do not offer them. As someone who previously bartended, I understand not having them but I still was hopeful! I was pleasantly surprised by a solid whiskey list alongside the beers. The to go cooler was also loaded with all kinds of goodies. The staff was knowledgeable and easily pointed out some crowd favorites, personal favorites and suggestions based on my preferences. Great beer tender, I didn't catch his name but he was a smaller statue guy, tattoos, and wearing what was maybe a long kilt? I look forward to revisiting and grabbing some food as well as more beers.

I've been a fan of The Veil since their first location. This location on Moore Street (although the address is Belleville) is even nicer. Met a colleague here last night for a work session. Ordered my lager and fried chicken and found a spot on the patio to pop open my laptop and get to work. Nice, open space with large tables and umbrellas should it be needed to shield you from the sun. Open area inside as well with sexy event space, too. My lager hit the spot. The fried chicken was fried a little too hard and past tender, but the flavor was pretty good. Parking can be tricky, especially since the implementation of those strange bike lanes. Oh, and please fix the "ramp" inside the front door. It cannot possibly be graded to code. I stutter step on it each and every time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is massive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have plenty of drink options, beyond just brews. They had cocktails and frozen drinks too. They also serve food too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of standing and seating area, order at the counter so no real table service (not a con), the line moves quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Three amazing beers.

I've loved beers from the veil for years. Therefore, I had high hopes from a brewery visit. This place did not disappoint. The beers are always absolutely phenomenal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the place was laid-back but urban.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was kind and outstanding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish we had more time to spend there, because the restaurant inside the brewery smelled amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend.

Master Shredder IPA!
Alden C.

Recently got to try a beer from The Veil Brewing and I have to say that it was a fairly decent experience! The Master Shredder is what Steve and I had. It's a New England IPA and was pretty refreshing! With tropical, hoppy and dry flavors this light and smooth beer would be great with pub fare type food!

Veil was one of two breweries a friend recommended when I was in Richmond. There are a slew of breweries in the area so parking is difficult to find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Veil has an open layout with plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is limited in options with a focus on large dishes and not typical food. There were about 25 beers across multiple styles and you can get flights. The 3 that I tried were tasty to me but everyone has their own preferences. Definitely worth a stop during a beer crawl.

Kids chicken strips were a chicken patty that was overcooked and cut up. Also came out lukewarm at best. The Rueben was soggy and had about three slices of meat on it. Very little sauce on the sandwich no and was charged for extra when I asked for more. Added the Parmesan truffle fries which were powered Parmesan with some truffle oil sprinkled on top. Again all lukewarm. The Timberwolf burger had maybe two jalapeño's on it and the onions were burnt. The regular burgers and kids are the same size. Housemade pickles were soggy and the cucumber skins were tough. The quality of food from when we had eaten here a couple years ago was subpar in comparison. If you are going to charge for upscale items then they need to be upscale in the quality of what you are serving. Will not be back.

Parking in the area is a little difficult and Sunday at lunch is no different. We were able to find street parking a few blocks down and were happy to enjoy the Spring weather. Eazzy Burger is a bit off of W Leigh St but adjacent to Ardent Craft Ales. The shared outdoor patio was casual with a contemporary flare and filled with Richmond 20-somethings. We easily found a table, put our things down, and headed in to Eazzy Burger to place our orders. The first thing I noticed is how creative the menu is! Craft burgers with a variety of options... everyone will find something they like. You place you order at the counter and then wait at your table until they call your name so be prepared! It took about 20 minutes (10 minutes less than what they told us!) for our 5 top to get our orders. The burgers were massive and the fries were cooked to perfection. An order of fries was missed but when I mentioned it to the expeditor at the counter, he was quick to remedy the situation. All in all, a 5 star experience!

That was the cherry on too! sweet, creamy perfection to end it all. Definitely coming back!

The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. Supper! has earned its reputation as a longtime Richmond favorite. Great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

It's a very popular restaurant, so today, when we entered, while we were greeted right away, there was a 30 minute wait. The time actually went by relatively fast, and by the time we were seated, large cups of ice water were already there at our table, as well as a carafe to refill them. There's no physical menus, instead you scan a QR code which brings you to their menu. They have lots of drink options, including several specialty cocktails, beers, and ciders. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive, and the food came out relatively quickly. For my drink, I ordered a local cider from a Virginia ciderie, as well as the It's A Wrap, which has cheddar, ranch, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and your choice of protein (I got tofu). I also got a side of the Mac and cheese, which I could tell was made in house. Super creamy and flavorful with a hint of spice. My wrap was also insanely good! I'm impressed by the amount of vegetarian options here. Any burger can be made both gluten free or vegan, and the choices of protein make it more accessible for everyone who comes in.
