Service was perfect. As good as 3 Michelin star restaurants I've experienced. Not quite but just as efficient and friendly. Have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. Professional service and friendly staff. They have been well-trained by Tony the manager. He is a true feather in their cap. Always friendly and on top of things. The food is exceptional. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but oh so worth the money spent. The setting is elegant while also paying tribute to our local history. Cute place . Definitely worth a shot if you are in the area . The Vault appears to be in a renovated / rehabbed historical type building , and it was definitely done right . Great entryway! Host was charming and helpful and seated us without reservations, which seem like the way to go here . We were taken directly to a table in the original vault of the building , which was unique . The room did have a slight echo but was not a problem in any way. Our server was Katie I believe and she was excellent and extremely efficient. Date night to recently opened in Bluefield, West Virginia - The Vault - Words alone can not describe this restaurant. We started the evening off with a handcrafted Bloody Mary that I have not been able to stop thinking about and what can only be described as a true masterpiece. For appetizers we enjoyed bruschetta, shrimp cocktail, and a caprese salad. The flavors were diverse, unique, and each bite was succulent to say the least. For entree's Genna ordered the Filet tenderloin and I ordered the Ribeye. A symphony on a plate. Incredible. Our steaks were prepared perfectly in temperature and the flavors of each bite was incredible. I am typically hesitant on ordering baked potatoes in restaurants, the loaded baked potato that came as a side option with our entree was possibly the best baked potato I've ever eaten. Our service was absolutely phenomenal - top class. The staff at The Vault welcomed us warmly and was very attentive throughout our entire meal and ensured our experience was a memorable one to not soon forget and they certainly achieved. As we were leaving we were assisted on a tour to the bottom level of the restaurant, in what used to be the banks cash vault which has been renovated into a cigar lounge, it was beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. If you have not been, please go and enjoy this special gem of a restaurant in West Virginia. It was a nice dining experience. Service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. They were on top of everything; we spoke with three or four employees, and every one was professional and yet personable. Our meals tasted good, but they weren't original or better than we expected. 3.5 stars for food and 5.0 stars for service. I'll definitely go back. read more

We had never heard of or been to the Vault. We searched restaurants near our location. Boy was it a lucky pick. Service was outstanding, food was incredible , and the peach sangria was beyond!! I had tortellini carbonara and it was delicious. My sister loved the ziti and sausage. My favorite part of the meal was the caprese salad. I could have done some serious plate licking. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry. read more

Was a great atmosphere for Bluefield. They try a little too hard but it's good to see the effort. A great upscale restaurant is not just about an opulent atmosphere but an effortless service. This is where they miss the mark but I'm not going to ding a star, it's easily the best place in Bluefield but it would fall on its face in a town with upscale competition. Stop with the muffins etc at brunch. Unless you make them fresh leave them in the back. read more

The restoration of this building is amazing, great to see a fine dining restaurant in the bluefield and located in the historical downtown. I ordered the Vault burger with truffle fries. Food prices are a bit higher but the food is also better so it works. We arrived with no reservations on a busy day and set inside the actually vault, with historical murals painted on the walls. Our experience was good at this restaurant. The ambiance was on point. The building is beautifully decorated and has a historic cast. The service was exceptional. We ordered a draft beer and a Moscow mule both were perfect. My husband ordered salmon with potatoes for dinner while I chose shrimp and grits. His meal was very good and he had no complaints. Mine was mediocre. The grits were runny and virtually tasteless. The shrimp was prepared beautifully so that stabled the meal and kept it from being a complete fail for me. Overall it was a win and we definitely be back to try more. read more

My husband and I drive an hour to get to this restaurant, but it is well worth it! The atmosphere is wonderful and all of the staff are attentive and trained to make your dining experience a memorable one. There is a great wine selection, favorite spirits stocked, and daily specials you won't see anywhere else within driving distance. This restaurant is very well managed and management is present to ensure the best experience. This is a dress up or be casual place. You're in a comfortable setting either way. Every entree I've had has been delicious and cooked to perfection. I've eaten everywhere, and this place is one of my most favorites. We go here for date night, with friends, and for business dinners. We will continue to go here for the delicious food and impressive service. Thank you Vault for bringing us the very best !!! The Vault Downtown was an absolutely all around delightful experience, ranging from the staff's attentiveness and friendliness to the mouthwatering drinks, dinner, and dessert. The presentation of every item was amazing and we weren't rushed; everything was timed perfectly. The French onion soup was served hot and cheesy, the berry salad was divine and our steaks were melt in your mouth, cooked perfectly per our request. The pumpkin cheesecake was mouthwatering. My husband and I live in Florida and stopped in Bluefield for the evening before continuing our drive to Pennsylvania. We will make this detour again simply to dine at this fabulous restaurant! read more

First visit tonight. We visit 2-3 times a year and this is by far the best dining experience we've had in the area. The chef is a James Beard Award receipient and the food reflects that level of achievement. The wine and cocktail offerings are very good. The wait staff is young and perhaps a little too eager but not to the point of being intrusive. We will definitely be back. read more

The service was impeccable our server Abbie was new but quite attentive and was working many tables. She really went above and beyond corrected a mistake made on dessert very professional and polite.
