Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

DISASTEROUS EXPERIENCE JEOPARDIZING INTEGRITY AND SAFETY OF MY HOME!!!…read more In Sept 2025 I had new gutters installed by another company (THANK GOD). A-Top's estimate at the time was $7000. More than 2X what I paid for the same gutter installation. Anyway, when the old gutters came off there were issues from the roofing replacement performed by A-Top in 2017. Since 9/26/25 (9 weeks) I have been battling A-Top about the issues revealed. Of course they claim their work is not the problem. Apparently "Art K" (who also left a negative review), and I, must have had the same transient workers. Also with an inspection from the roadway! My fascia board in the front of my home is rotted beyond rot, drip edge installed incorrectly, not compensating for how the addition joins the main home. They just installed it haphazardly without any regard for the ramifications of it. Had A-Top did an inspection in 2017 these would have been caught. On 2 occasions a work crew was scheduled to come out to my house only to have been cancelled. Instead 2 more inspections from 2 separate A-Top employees. I had already had 2 previous inspections by A-top employees before work was scheduled. Ironically A-Top has performed 4 inspections on my home and yet in 2017 not 1 inspection for the roof replacement was performed by A-Top, where these issues would have been addressed then not 8 years later. I had coordinated with A-Top to have my new gutters removed on 11/3/25, since a scheduled crew was finally coming on 11/4/25. An hour after my gutters were down A-Top emailed that "gutter removal was not necessary and a crew was not coming the next day". Atim Muhammad (A- Top's General Manager) and a technician came on Nov 4th, removed all the wrap on my fascia boards to inspect a 3rd time. Atim scheduled a crew for Nov 7th only to have that appointment turn into inspection #4. I had 2 independent roofing companies inspect and they both concurred that A-Top dropped the ball in 2017! When I confronted Atim with their findings, he commented "they are biased, they only want the work". So I had a home inspector to my home. Atim had graciously offered me "complimentary services" to rectify some issues. I appreciated the offer and asked for them in writing. I have never received them. Instead, the only proposal Atim sent me 3 weeks later, was for me to pay $6000 for work he deems necessary. No mention of the "complimentary services" previously offered. My home inspection report DOES NOT recommend the work that A-Top wants to charge me for. 9 weeks later, throughout 6 rain storms and high wind conditions my home has no gutters, unwrapped fascia boards, faulty installed drip edge causing water infiltration and a damaged new gutter from laying in my yard for 3 weeks. Of course A-Top will not take responsibility for the damaged gutter I removed for them to do scheduled work. Instead he offered to charge me $650 for a new gutter. A-Top just notified me today that they are walking away from this situation after 9 weeks of dragging their feet. Even though we had an arbitrary date of 11/29/25 for work to be agreed upon to be performed. Apparently since my escalated approach to getting this situation rectified was threatening, all proposals are off the table. Not that the "complimentary services" were ever considered in Atim's proposal. Someone was to reach out to me about this escalated situation. No one has. ****This is Atim and A-Top's way of fulfilling their pledge... "We are committed to resolving this matter professionally and respectfully". Walking away from this issue by no means shows any type of "PROFESSIONALISM OR RESPECT"!!! A-Top is some how feeling amazingly comfortable leaving my home in the condition it is now in!! Cold weather and snow is predicted for next week. I never would've imagined in September that fixing my roofing issues by an "award winning roofing company" (GAF MASTER ELITE CERTIFIED) would last into December. This is an atrocity!! And this is their idea of "our commitment to supporting you as a valued, long‑standing customer of A‑Top Roofing and Construction"?? **Note here...Atim's proposal included me having to take down my previous negative review from Nov 6th. A- Top has been recently acquired by Bachman Roofing PA. This is the reason why customer service and has gone down, too many levels to go through with no response. I may have had an issue in the past with A-Top, but when Andy was at the helm, at least he had INTEGRITY and worked to resolve issues with his customers not leave them out in the cold!! So I'm going to give this place mixed reviews for a variety of reasons. In reality its 2.5 out of…read more5 stars but I can only give 2 or 3 and since 3 is rated "A-OK" I will say its basically "ok". Read below for the details if interested. Nothing shady about this place, etc. from what I can tell.... but basically what it comes down to is bad (not poor) customer service that needs improvement. They did however deliver a quality product. My experience: Recently used them for a fireplace gas cleaning. It took multiple attempts to reach their customer service department who, frankly, wasnt very efficient in responding to my call, but was very quick to just book the service and provide details of what is involved in regular maintenance. I was at least pleased to get the impression they knew what they were doing and maybe the individual scheduling appointments was just having a hectic / busy day. At service, the technician arrived, cleaned the fireplace, and in general, did a very nice job. Thumbs up. However after he left (which was probably a little too quickly to try and run out the door before ensuring it fully works), we noticed a problem in that something electrical went wrong that had never happenned before (because our power had gone out and a circuit blew). We called to address the issue and it "needed to be discussed" before they would talk to us about it, The resolution was to send the technician back out. I however did not like the fact that we were initially dealing with a sales men who tried to blame us for doing something wrong when we were just calling for a regular maintenace checkup and after the checkup the fireplace didnt work (whereas it worked perfectly fine prior to the servicing). We should have been dealing with the service department, store manager, etc. Technician came back out, was once again very professional, looked things over and concluded there was definitely something wrong electrically but he wasnt sure what and that an electrician would have to review it. So back to calling the home office. After some more debate, they agreed to send an electrician out to review. Electrician did an excellent job, figured out that something went wrong (clearly after the maintenace but didnt say why/how), and promptly fixed it. Thumbs up to the electrician. However then they tried to charge us for the service after having previously agreed that they wouldn't unless major work was needed. In the end though they held to their end of the bargain... just it wasnt a very pleasant experience... but we do realize that sometimes mistakes happen and hopefully that was just the case in the first technician doing something accidentally that caused a problem. At least now everything works and is back to normal. Its unfortunate they had to make 3 service calls but because they did (and despite the bad customer service), next time we have a problem or require service I will still give them an opportunity to earn more of our business. This could work out for them in the end anyway because we are considering changing the fireplace mantle, stone, etc. and I really know of no other place to go than East Coast.

Not sure what parking lot they get their employees from but they did more damage than the simple job that I hired them to do. I should have posted this back in 2024 (it is currently 2026) when this issue occurred to help you Yelpers but didn't want to impact a legal recourse. The job I hired them to do was to take out a roof ridge vent and replace with regular roofing ridge shingles and install an attic fan, that was all. Did not need 7 employees hanging out on my roof. I had to yell up to them that taking the chimney apart was not included in this work so they bent the aluminum capping back half ass. They did not even replace the ridge vent shingles correctly or enough therefore left exposed nail holes from removing the ridge vent shingles. The photo (see my photos) of this job shows the light of the sky that you can see through one of the holes from the INSIDE of my attic. When complaint was presented to the owner I was told that the holes are too small to let rainwater in!! They also cut the ridge vent shingles right on my existing roof without a cutting board therefore slicing up the existing roofing shingles. The attic fan was the wrong one installed which was a cheaper version. Wouldn't you check the item to insure it was the correct model BEFORE installation?!? Proven contractors also conveniently gave me an additional estimate for $$$$ thousands more to fix the damage that THEY caused. Also owner of this company is very curt and dismissive when approached with the complaint. This company was a never-ending NIGHTMARE so if you hire them you better have knowledge and be the supervisor yourself.

Replaced an outdoor spiral staircase and many other things. Although this was a big job, Proven's pricing was competitive. They gave a multi job discount. My biggest concern was that this is a summer home so we were not around a lot to supervise. I was pleasantly surprised that they showed up when they said they would, and kept to their timetable as closely as possible. After hiring the The Roof Doctors, they: a) removed the existing layer of roofing shingles to wood deck, b) installed ice and water shield on all eaves and valleys, around chimneys, and on all low pitch areas of roofing b) installed premium GAF synthetic vapor barrier on field section of roof deck, c) installed GAF Timberline Lifetime shingles, d) installed new roll vent ridge vent system e) installed new step flashing and counter flashing including base around chimney, f) installed new GAF Hip and Ridge caps, and g) installed new counter flashing on chimneys. They even installed gutter guards and trimmed low-hanging branches above upper roof section -- at no extra cost. The entire project was all for under $10,000!
