A tree fell on part of my house so I had to replace my roof and entire siding on my house. I am extremely happy with the work that Keystone did. They really worked with me to get the pricing to where the insurance would accept the quote, and after quoting a few different companies they were competitively priced. They were very accommodating when I had to postpone the install a few days before they were to begin siding. Communication was generally very good, they showed up on time and finished the job in a timely manner. There was a small issue at end of job, but they were very receptive and out immediately to take care of my concerns. Overall a very good company and I would definitely recommend them. read more

Keystone Roofing & Siding - Roofing Near Me - Howell Township, New Jersey

We have a big issue with this company's customer support. We hired them to replace the siding on the 45-year-old manufactured home that we bought 30 years ago. When they removed the old siding they uncovered some cosmetic damage to the foundation. They said they couldn't re-cover the area with siding, as doing so would void the manufacturer's warranty. Nor could they repair the "damage" themselves because, as they said, "We're a siding company, not masons". Thus, tens of thousands of dollars later our home was an eyesore and Keystone was no where in sight. In the end I was able to fix the problem myself; a mason was not even required. I feel, though, that Keystone should have offered just a hint of customer support by fixing a relatively simple problem themselves, or at least suggesting someone who could do the work. So though they did a good job installing the siding, I would never hire them again, nor recommend that anyone else do so. read more

We hired Keystone to do roof, soffits, and gutters. We were told that a project manager would be in touch with us to confirm dates of work and dumpster details. No such call ever came. We were the ones to reach out for updates. The day of our install we were told a crew would be there early in the morning. At noon, my husband called to ask if anyone was showing. It was at this point we finally spoke to a project manager. He confirmed that a crew would be there in 10 minutes, and they were delayed on another job, but he assumed that they had arrived. As my husband began to explain the lack of communication already happening, he confirmed that "we had dropped the ball". Assuring us this is not how they do business. That initial crew did not show up for another hour. This prompted a text, not a call, the following day from him saying that our job was going to be delayed, only because the soffit crew had already shown up to the house and could not do their work. On the first day of soffit installation, because we were home, we noticed they were not removing the existing soffit as stated in the contract and called the company. Another project manager showed up and instructed the crew to cut holes several feet apart for ventilation. The confused look on the faces of the workers (even with the communication issues present) reaffirmed that this is not their standard practice. Then, they ran out of materials and over half of our house was not completed. When they finally finished we had several areas of concern so we contacted the on site manager and sent pictures. The issues were addressed and while still not thrilled about the failure to remove the existing soffits, we were glad to be done with this company. Every concern we voiced was blamed on someone else from the sales person to the crew members. read more

Keystone damaged my new custom aluminum railings when replacing my roof in 2023. Unfortunately I did not notice until I had PIF. After numerous emails, phone calls and texts, eventually I was offered partial reimbursement. I reluctantly accepted as I was exasperated and wasted so much time and effort to just get this. However, literally dozens of times he promised to drop/ mail a check, every time making up an excuse why he did not. This went one for over a year and a half. His repeated lying and excuses were almost comical, if it wasn't for the fact that it cost me so much. I never received the money. read more

Subject: Complaint against Kestone Roofing and Siding of Howell, New Jersey On October 17, 2024, I signed a contract with Keystone Roofing to replace the shingles on my home. The contract required a deposit of 50%, $7,600.00, which I paid upon signing. The contract stated that the work was scheduled to begin Mid-November 2024. Starting in Mid November the apparent owner, Ed Kuncken and I had several phone calls regarding the scheduling and each time I was told that a crew would be there on a specific date, however, when that date arrived, nobody showed up to perform the work. He always had an excuse as to why the men did not show up. Finally, by Mid-December, the job had not been started, and Ed Kuncken, continued with excuses and without offering a firm start date. Due to the lack of follow-through to start the project, I cancelled the project and requested an immediate refund of the $7,600.00 deposit. Since Mid-December, Ed and I have had numerous text messages and phone conversations where Ed has promised that he sent the check on at least two different occasions, that his bank, TD Bank, sent the check, that his bookkeeper sent the check but she was sick and not in the office for several days, that he was out of the office attending a wedding and would get to it the next day, all of which were just excuses to not return the deposit. Still, today, 4 months after signing the contract, I have not received the deposit. read more

Keystone got us in quickly, gave us a fair price and addressed all of our concerns! We got lots of quotes for our roof and they weren't the cheapest, they also weren't the most expensive, toward the lower middle price wise and the most thorough in their sales process. read more

Raised cost by 20% after estimate was agreed to. Stated cost of material as reason. Ordered 4 extra bags of ceiling tiles and 4 extra stacks of cedar siding. Refused to issue credit for extra materials saying, "would you rather I ran out of materials during the job?" NO! I'd rather you ordered the right amount of materials to begin with. They made the miscalculation and I'm stuck paying the cost. Doesn't seem right. Also, they have a very low good enough point. They were ready to settle for a shabby job and only after we insisted did they correct the problem. Be. Careful! read more

This company was fantastic. They were extremely professional and responsive. I felt they are fairly priced and did an outstanding job. I had 2 layers of shingles on and they did a great job on the clean up. Not 1 shingle left on the floor. When it comes to the boards they utilize all the wood available and did not try to charge for extras. I would highly recommend this company for the reliability, customer service and work. read more

Keystone did a terrible job doing the roof on our condo complex. The team left a complete mess outside of our condos, did not clean up after themselves at all, and left the dumpster on location for days after completion of the job. Keystone never obtained the building permit from the town nor did they ever get the roof inspected as required by NJ law. The owner of the company was highly unprofessional from start to finish and never wanted to take time to deal with or answer any questions or get the proper documentation required to do the work, eventhough he stated in his contract. I would highly not recommend Keystone for any work, look elsewhere and beware of this company. read more

We are very happy with the work you all did on our house. I had a quote with in 2 days. Got it scheduled and the work was done in a day! They brought a trailer instead of a bumpster because of our renters asked for it. Every time I called Danny was awesome and EJ was just as friendly!! They worked with us because we are in the military with the payment and are not in NJ. I highly recommend hiring Keystone Contracting to do the work!! read more

This company is the best! I have waited until a few storms have hit to post this review in order to validate my opinion. My low slope roof was leaking along the edges and Keystone fixed it! No more problems. It was a small job, but they treated it professionally. Arrived on time, did the work with excellent clean up and the price was good. Thank you Keystone!! read more
