I don't know that there's any way to know this, but they were closed to the public for a private party until 4:00. Not a big deal. We grabbed a tea around the corner and returned after the party ended. This place is great! What a fabulous selection of brews. Even more extraordinary was the massive selection of alcohol free beers. I've never seen anything like it. Though the partiers lingered a bit, we were able to snatch a comfy table for two by the window. It's the perfect spot for two. Unfortunately I don't recall what I ordered, though I'd remember it if I saw it. Mark had a AF beer and he really enjoyed it. I tasted it and it was delightfully unique. The selection of beer to purchase and take away was huge. I intended to return after dinner, but it was cold and I was too ready to go home. The gentleman running the place was super helpful even though he was managing the party and the remaining party guests as they cashed out with drinks to go. We will most definitely return!

Yeah, this is a fun little stop…read more I just happened to be shopping in Northside and wanted to grab a quick drink in this horrendous heat. I popped in to sit at the bar, and the bartender, RB, was happy to answer questions about booze on tap and in the cooler. I'm a big fan of stouts, so I had an Irish stout so tasty I had to take a second home. RB taught me a really cool fact, too: if you buy the booze to go it's almost half the cost! This place has a great vibe, kind regulars at the bar who are happy to strike up a conversation, AND RB has recently invented a new shot that is a real panty-dropper, the "Muscle Mommy." You can only get it when she's there, and it might make you start liking women, but that's okay...it's Northside. ‍

There aren't a lot of coffee shops in the area so it's filling a gap. My husband commented that the menu prices were fair especially for the specialty drinks, but I will note none of them were super extravagant. I chose to have a matcha latte and added the lavender syrup, which was house made. The matcha wasn't very strong and mostly tasted of milk, but the lavender added a lot and I enjoyed my drink.

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.
