Customers without home printers have to pay for computer time and each piece of paper to print labels. When returning a package the original label to me was still on box and team member said they'd take care of it but did not. Return package was redelivered to me and the store refused to help resolve. I have never had an issue going to the store and I'm probably there at least once every two weeks! Sometimes I have put it down wrong information on Amazon and I go to the UPS store and they explain that I had pressed a different location! Then go outside cancel everything I did and come back inside. I feel like the people who have given negative comments, doesn't understand how the returns work.! Brenda at the UPS Store in York, Maine provided great customer service! My UPS driver did not redeliver a "Signature Required" package, but instead left it at the UPS store in York. Because I was unable to get there, I called and asked if it was possible to put the package back into the system and get it redelivered to my home without a signature. My attempts to change instructions to UPS were time consuming, frustrating and unsuccessful Brenda could have said no. Instead, she made several calls to people at UPS who assured her that the package would be redelivered to my house. When the package arrived again at the UPS store instead of my house, Brenda called to say that I shouldn't have to spend so much time on this and then she delivered the package to my house herself. That's great customer service!! And since I have spent over 25 years consulting with companies to improve their customer service, I know great customer service when I see it. Joan N. read more

Good location that is easily accessible from downtown. Parking can be a bit cramped when the plaza is busy.

The woman behind the counter is very rude and unpleasant to deal with. I started going to a different store. I'm surprised to see the comments from the business that they value customer service. Kayla at this store is remarkable. She's pleasant, cheerful and addressed me by name every time I came in. One day there were 6 people ahead of me as I waited to get a package that didn't fit in my rented box. Kayla treated each person with efficient but friendly professionalism. I stopped in to see how much it would cost to have something packaged and shipped with them... The guy working quoted me well over $200 just for the shipping, and said to have it package also would be well over 300... Needless to say I was shocked and I did not have them do it for me. I package it myself and shipped it for $50 at the UPS store in Portsmouth. I'm not sure what's going on over there, perhaps some pocketing extra charges? read more

Don't use UPS to deliver anything. Their drivers apparently don't know how to read addresses or delivery instructions so your package will be delivered to either a post office or to another address miles from your delivery destination. In addition, if you want to speak with someone at UPS be prepared to waste 30 minutes speaking with a robot who WILL NOT connect you to a customer service representative. This has become a very difficult and unprofessional company. I would avoid them. Unfortunately if you buy online from Amazon or other online companies you will suffer the incompetence of their delivery drivers. Be prepared for your package to be delivered to another town. read more

I could not believve the bad reviews on here. I am a big Amazon buyer with lots of returns. The know me now from my many visits. Always a smile and a laugh when I smile and say me again. I wish I knew names, but they are all Pleasant when they greet me. I especially like the young girl with long brown hair who openens the store when I have come at that time. They always help me with my brain is not always together at 74 years old. I buy my shipping tape there because so many times I used scotch tape and they have reinforced it for me without a complaint or a charge. Thank you for your service. read more

I went to the store to bring my Amazon return because luckily UPS and Amazon have a great working relationship. Usually when I go to a UPS Store, I just bring the item in a box, and sometimes that's not even needed. UPS takes care of the rest. These people charged me $2 for a strip of tape! Absolutely ridiculous. There are way too many options out there to be nickel and dimes by companies like this. read more

Terrible Service!!! I sent a package from Maine. It didn't arrive. They never called or emailed and they had both of these contacts. When I realized the package was not delivered I went to the location to fix their mistake. I then checked again and realized it still was not delivered. The package was returned to the location I sent it from. Apparently even though I corrected their mistake it was too late. I was told the address was wrong (NOT TRUE) and that they didn't have info for the receiver. Their employee put incorrect info on the package and never asked for the receiver's information. Then they told me I had to pay over $26 again to have it redelivered. Worst service I have received in a very long time!!!! read more

I've used this store a number of times over the years. Up until yesterday it had always been a pleasure to go to the store. Not yesterday. I had a toaster oven to have UPS return. All expenses were to be covered by the manufacturer of the oven. I was greeted by a young man who seemed new but very pleasant. When I put the box on the counter a woman working there said something to him about charging me $3 for tape. I told her I didn't have to pay anything, just "read" the paperwork I had. After a huffy response from her she made me remove the oven from the packaging. I had put it back in the original box and it was very secure. Eventually she realized I didn't have to pay anything but never apologized for her know it all behavior. I think the young man learned a lesson from his trainer's negative attitude toward me. That's a positive. Once again I want to reiterate that I've always had very positive experiences and outstanding service from this UPS store. I won't let the attitude one one employee change my opinion but I will be on guard next time I visit. Tom C read more

I have used this UPS Store twice. First, we had a box of clothes shipped there from another UPS Store. Upon receiving it, this store opened the box to see its contents. When I arrived, I was charged $5 to receive the box they had opened. The second time, I had something sent to the store from UPS, USPS did the final delivery, but this store refused to receive it, and told USPS it was address unknown, return to sender. We were planning to have other deliveries there while we vacation in York, but realize now that we need to find another business. read more

This is the second time I have come to this store (5-10 mins before closing) and the door is locked before 6:30 while the worker is standing out back. I work a full time job and can't get there any sooner , I'm also on a timed return for Amazon and my item needs to be sent by a certain date. So I never do Yelp reviews, but I'm making an exception... the customer service at this store is just not good. I made the mistake of bringing a FedEx return into the store today - you would have thought I brought pork chops to a vegan potluck. As always here, it felt like the customers are such an imposition, and heaven help you if you need notary services - I think they charge by the eye roll. The store is cluttered and dirty and has signs everywhere - "DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON THIS COUNTER" is posted in several places on the counter. Save yourself some aggravation and find another place that actually wants earns business. read more

This place is a total rip off. Very simply, I sent my golf clubs from Chicago to Maine for $39. I took them to this UPS store to ship back. They told me it was $85!!! This was the exact same thing being sent back in the same package! I had no option, so I did it. I immediately called UPS customer service. They would not help me and couldn't explain the difference. After talking to several people and spending an hour on the phone, they suddenly said that since I used the UPS Store, I needed to cal an 800 number and start over. They obvious plan is to stall and delay customers and make them jump through so many hopes they will go away. Do yourself a favor, avoid this store! Also avoid UPS. the USPS is cheaper and they have customer service!!! read more

Get your own box and bubble wrap and head to the nearest post office. This place overcharges. I shipped a huge box in Boston with individual bubble wrap for some large breakables. Bubble wrap was thick and package arrived in three days by ground. I shipped a small box here with three small breakables and asked for special wrap. Items were wrapped in one thin piece of bubble wrap and it took nearly a week to receive them. Both cost $100. A location on Antiques Alley does not mean you charge extra! It is not worth it. read more

Stopped by to ship a package 5 minutes before closing (noon) and the door was locked. The clerk came to the door and said according to their clock it was noon. I showed him the time on a watch, fitbit and phone all showing 11:55 but he insisted his clock was correct. Never shipping from there again. read more
