MANAGER IS NOT FOLLOWING UPS STORE FRANCHISEE RULES AND NEEDS TO BE DISCIPLINED Monday May 6, 2024: I receive email notice that 2 boxes from Well.ca have arrived at UPS Store. I arrive after 4 pm with my 11 year old daughter. Without checking, the Man says there is nothing for me. No boxes under 221. I ask him to double check. He laughs and says " I don't need to, I know what comes in". Then he says to show my email. I can't seem to find it right away because he is making me anxious and nervous by being so hostile I ask hIm to please check in the system and use my ID. He still says no, is combative and seemingly enjoying to make my life miserable. I am upset and confused by his abusive behavior. I say- let's work together...let's find my boxes and we can solve this problem. Another customer arrives and he is looking at the other man, like I am an idiot I tell him to take my ID and check in the system, again and again. He says the boxes are not there. I won't leave until he actually checks his system. Finally he does. And he sees there are two boxes under my name. He gets mad and says it was under 332. It was not. He argues with me again. I do not know why. and he tells me to go to another business if I don't like it. And I left so very mad. UPS TREATED ME BADLY INFRONT OF MY YOUNG DAUGHTER. I called UPS and was crying and very upset. The woman listened to me and gave me your number. I have been too upset to send an email but today, there was ANOTHER PROBLEM. Today May 17, 2024 4:30PM: I come to pick up my boxes from WELL.CA again. The MAN, tell me that he is not supposed to hand me the boxes and I am supposed to go in the private area and pick up the boxes myself. This area is cordoned off with security tape and obviously not a public place. I said that this is a private area and I am not supposed to go there. If I get hurt, he UPS is liable. and that He is supposed to pass it along the counter like usual. This MAN, again is breaking rules, making my life difficult and creating problems. I want UPS to sanction this man. For a day that is supposed to be good, he makes me very angry and upset. read more

The 1st time I visited, the man behind the counter was unfriendly & rather rude. I went back hoping to get good service (everyone has bad days) but was met with even worse service- rude, cheap & unhelpful. I took my business elsewhere & will definitely not be back. The cherry on top is that they don't allow dogs inside. read more

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt...maybe just a bad day. But I've been here several times over the last 2 years and every time the 2 employees there are so extremely unpleasant. I'd almost rather deliver the package myself rather than deal with them for UPS deliveries!!! read more

We were surprised by the absolute lack of professionalism and customer services. The lady was obviously annoyed that she has to provide any services. It is surprising to feel unwelcome and treated with super poor service in times when all services are thriving for survival. Apparently, this place doesn't appreciate clients who want to get their printing done locally. Another whole story would be non-transparent pricing and prices itself... If you can and want to avoid unpleasant experience, avoid this place. read more

The man who works here is extremely rude and unhelpful. He should not be serving the public. I went out of my way to send my parcel Fedex rather than UPS because of my unpleasant experience in this UPS depot. I went to Staples to send my parcel and had exactly the opposite experience. My first experience at sending items via a UPS store, this has to be the worst customer service ever. The guy who dealt with me was the rudest man I have ever come across in my life! serious attitude. I explained that this was my first time, I presented my documents and told him I hadn't adhered anything to the boxes as they had 3 pre paid invoices and was not sure how it was to be done. He spoke to me as if I should have known how it worked, while talking to me he walked away mumbling and not explaining properly and was loosing his temper with me. The woman onlooker of his said or did nothing. I felt so awful after leaving that store, I will never return or recommend anyone to go there. I frequently use UPS and always have exceptional customer service at the Lonsdale and Yaletown locations. This is the first time I've been to the West Van location and was honestly surprised by the low level of customer service. The woman behind the counter was rude and unhelpful. I will not come back to this location again. read more

I regret giving this store 1Star as it deserves ZERO Stars. The owner is a rude, inconsiderate and the least customer orientated person I have come across in many years. Today I had a Return Shipment boxed a labelled (paid for by supplier) and he prevented me from bringing the parcel into his store saying it was too heavy for them to handle. Strange that without even weighing it he said that I must arrange a pickup and that it was not allowed in his store. Considering that I'm almost 60 years old, and was managing just fine on my own, I was perplexed at his fiery approach and extremely poor attitude. BTW the weight limit for UPS is a whopping 150lbs so my parcel was way under the UPS permissible weight limit. I instead asked if I could leave my ready-to-ship pre-labeled parcel just inside the door for the driver to collect in the afternoon (this way he wouldn't have to even touch it, and he abruptly said no. Instead stating that I could meet the driver outside his store 5 hours later if I wished. No "thanks for choosing to ship with our store" or " sorry but we cant ship this item because ....." If this man with the rude obnoxious and shitty attitude could learn a little how to handle customers, it could do a lot for his business. On second thoughts he doesn't deserve to be in business so hopefully he will reap the rewards of his poor attitude sooner than later. read more

Just rude! The attitude and lack of help is a disgrace. Dropped off an Amazon package, both staff point, grunt, roll their eyes and do not want to answer a question. No customer service whatsoever - I suggest Amazon look for another provider. When I mentioned the lack of service - the female clerk in a mocking and rude voice so sorry, so sorry as she walks away. Do yourself a favor and go to north van, they need to experience customer service from the DHL location on 3rd in north van to realize a smile and willingness to help goes a long way! i think UPS has to re-consider who the front-facing representative or franchisee they elect to take packages if not drop-off. This location has the rudest and unhelpful location amongst UPS location. They will definitely want to take your money alright but do not welcome drop-offs. if you are dropping off and have wrong tag or failed to print, their solution is to call UPS and cancel and transfer the shipping directly with them. read more

Just got off the phone. Guy answers the phone and he is clearly still speaking to someone else in the room for two full sentences before he lazily acknowledges that we are on a call. Has me repeat my request for one year's pricing on a small mailbox 4 times, because he is still talking to this other person, before he tells me that it is $268 plus taxes. That is DOUBLE the current rate for the Kerrisdale and Kitsilano locations for your reference!!! I will have to find another solution for my needs in this neighbourhood. Worst customer service. My husband and I went to make some copies and print out some documents. The gentleman(owner) who runs this place has no clue how to treat a customer. We asked if we could use their computer, first of all its $2 for 5 min that doesn't include internet. After an hour he asked us in a rude way if we could wrap it up, because he has a customer who needs the computer. Wth?? Am paying for the service and the time why do i have to leave?? Then he said" you only asked if you could use our printer. Hahhaa. Omgg i am paying for it. He added, this is not a coffee net. Then you should specify what service you offer. I had to fix a few things. Its not like i was surfin the net. If there is a time limit make it clear. To my this is the typical persian customer service. I had a Wayfair package to send with the label ready and everything prepaid only thing I needed was to tape the box shut. When I asked the UPS owner she directed me to buy the pack of tape which was $6.95! I literally needed to use about 10 inches of tape and she told me "this is our business"... to which I said "forget it" and walked away. Unreal how this "business" can get away with this kind of treatment and dragging the UPS brand through the mud... read more

This is the UPS outlet closest to my home and I have used it many times. It is always a trying experience. Only the manager of the store seems really to know what he is doing, while other staff make error after error in transcribing addresses and telephone numbers which I have printed clearly on the UPS form, and frequently have to ask for his assistance, which makes the whole transaction very slow. This summer my daughter needed to send a number of parcels home to the US while she was staying with us: she was shocked at how slow and inefficient this place was. Each time she sent a parcel it took about half an hour to complete the process. read more

I have had a mailbox and been a customer of this store for 6 years. In that time I have NEVER had a bad experience. I do a lot of business in the U.S. and ship and receive mail and packages on a daily basis. This store has been exceptional in their service to myself, my family and our business. I have been at this UPS store many times during the last couple of years. I always admire their customer service support and how efficiently and professionally they performed their tasks. I had many packages that needed to be shipped to different places in the world. And I was always happy how my packages were wrapped patiently by the gentleman in this UPS store and got to the destination damage free. I've just received the WORST EVER customer service from them (West Van location!!!!). They neither rang my doorbell (I'm here24/7 everyday) nor left me a note regarding my delivery that I've ordered from the Apple Store. Apple said they will have them delivery it to me again, but still heard nothing after a week. I called the WEST VAN UPS and checked about the status, the man was sooooooo rude in the phone and said they won't be delivering anything but I can try calling the UPS hotline to request for one, and even if I call them they will still NOT going to do that!!! I'm not surprised that they were given such bad reviews. Why does UPS still let them represent in this location??!! I've cancelled my order from Apple store at the end. Absolute worst customer service - was told they tried to drop a package and that a note was left (was not) went to the Marine Drive location - as directed by Apple - not UPS and the very rude lady told me they did not have this package - I then let Apple know that UPS did not have it - they replied they did have it.......all this during the stay at home order - not really wanting to go to stores unnecessarily. Also - this was the second of two packages that were to be delivered from Apple and the first one was delivered to the wrong address and that fine neighbor delivered it to me. I went in to make a couple of photocopies . I'm in healthcare so I do not have much practice with photocopiers. When I entered I had asked the owner Masoud Siamaki if I could make a couple of photocopies. He said the machine is over there. Quite rude. The cover was up so I placed the paper on the screen, chose my size and pressed start. Nothing happened. He yelled over where did you put the paper? I said on the screen. He literally yelled at me and said "you did it wrong" grabbed the paper from my hand. I immediately took it back and said "no thank you" Never have I experienced this level of rudeness. He was literally yelling at me. It makes me wonder if he would be this way to a man? No Way! Not impressed. Very rude. Asked for a drop off receipt for dropping of a $1000 iPad return and guy just looked at me and said 'no. Take a picture of the label of you want.' Can you believe that? Before I comment on this location here's my story. 3 months ago I returned an item to the seller at a different UPS store and the clerk asked me if I wanted to take a photo to prove my return, which I did. Now, this store on Marine Drive, West Vancouver...Last week I had to send another item. When I tried to take a picture of the parcel the woman yelled at me to stop taking pictures. When I tried to relate my previous experience, the man, whom I suppose they are husband and wife owners, came and snatched the cell phone from my hands. Meanwhile the woman was yelling "call the police". I asked the man to give me back my cell phone but he hid it behind his back. Then I said I'd call the police and he gave me back the phone and told me to get out of his store. I took the parcel to the UPS in North Van, took a picture and left happily. These people at the West Van store are the rudest people I've ever met I gave a 1 star because I couldn't give a 0 star. read more

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. Masoud and his wife have been serving and providing exceptional service for those years. Extremely helpful, very polite, and a store I can rely on for my business needs. Whether shipments from overseas, sending out or receiving documents I can always depend on Masoud and his team. After living in West Van for many years, I moved my home to Coal Harbour. That is all I moved, not my location for mail and business services. I do not hesitate to spend the extra time crossing the bridge where I know I will be well served. I have noticed some negative comments, felt bad when reading. I know I have some days I am not up to par. However, I stand firmly behind Masoud, his service, and his quality character. I went home and had a bad experience with my partner the other night. We are not perfect. No store is perfect, but when going into any store, I realize also, my own attitude many times does set the stage for the outcome. I highly recommend this UPS store. The people are a hard-working family and have earned my respect over these many years. They have me! read more
