Wouldn't allow me to verbally confirm an apartment number over the phone when they called me to let me know it was returned. Asked me to pay $40 AGAIN to ship once I came in person to correct the address. Surprised they don't toss or open the packages that are returned with the attitude the manager had when it was brought to her attention. This store has the rudest snottiest people working in customer service I ever encountered. I needed to return a defective item from Amazon and requested the UPS store instead of Whole Foods. What a huge mistake that was. There were four agents behind the counter giving people scissors, tape, tape and boxes while I was waiting along with at least 10 other customers. While I was next some guy goes to a woman behind the counter named Beth and whispers something then she tells me he was next. He left the line and came back because he forgot something. No one greeted me while I was waiting and waited for over 20 minutes for the next agent, and when asked his name, he replied they don't give out their names to anyone as his name tag was blank. I showed up when the computers at the post office were down. There was no wait and the store was welcoming, clean, and I was greeted immediately. I had to go through the information three times to make sure the return address and the shipping address was entered correctly. But the woman at the counter was very kind and when I corrected her data entry errors, she re-entered them with patients in a positive attitude. Shipping is of course a little bit more expensive at the UPS store but what are you gonna do when the post office computers are down? :-) The service I requested was available and even though it was more than the post office charges it was still affordable. Toward the end of my mother's life, she gifted me some beautiful delicate sculptures. I can't thank Nida, Ty and other staff enough for their work. They came to the apartment to help pack and bring it all to the store. My family was scared to even touch these pieces for packing but the UPS group never flinched. Nida & Crew were respectful, thoughtful, careful and professional. A few days later, my husband and I came to the store to pick up 16 Large boxes, carefully packed with each of the pieces. Not One Broken Item! A more than fair price for all of the work and materials. I could never have asked for better people to work with during such a difficult time. I don't know if they are reasonably priced because I have never bought anything from them, but I have dropped off several pre-paid packages and used their free return shipping service for satellite and cable equipment. Someone always greets you when you come in the store even if they are with another customer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If a line starts to form they send out staff from the back. Of all the UPS stores we've been to this was the absolute best. We had some complicated legal documents that had to be witnessed and notarized and shipped overnight to New York. Nida, the store manager was so efficient, knowledgeable and thorough, that she made the process, whIch we thought was going to be complicated and difficult, go easily and seamlessly. While there we observed their supper efficient and excellent packing and shipping operation. They also sell greeting cards, office supplies, shipping containers of all sizes. It's a well thought out, well supplied UPS store, staffed by excellent people. We got there early, but the place filled up with customers quickly. Social distancing marking were in place and observed. All the employees wore masks and all were professional, friendly and clearly work together happily as a team. A Five Star UPS Store. One would think that someone working for the UPS store would have the basic skill of being able to scan a document. I just left the store and had to go to Office Depot because the woman did not know how to scan. When I offered to show her or do it, she said only she was allowed, not me. But, she did not know how to do it. I then took my document and left. It did not bother her in the least. What a pathetic example of customer service, poor training, bad hiring choices and even worse management. I just needed a simple thing done and what I got was incompetence, dismissed and attitude. I use this UPS store weekly. They are the most helpful staff I've experienced. They are friendly. Today I worked with Devony. She makes you feel at home when you open the door. She genuinely smiles at all the customers. I would hire her today. She goes out of her way to make your experience enjoyable. I met her Manager today, also. Also very helpful. The USPS, on the CONTRARY, has been marked off of my list because they want you to feel just as miserable as they are. I was just at your store and was treated very rudely. It took me 15 minutes trying to find your location and drove around your shopping center three times to no avail. I had to ask a stopped FedEx driver where the UPS store was. He pointed to a building and said: "right there". I was surprised because I still couldn't see a UPS sign and after walking down a sidewalk I realized the reason. I couldn't find your store or sign because you are hidden behind two large overgrown palm trees. When I walked in the door all I saw was Mailbox, Etc. decor so I asked a clerk if I was in a UPS store and instead of a "yes.. what can I do for you?" I got... "that's what the sign says outside".... I responded: "oh really... you mean a sign behind your ugly palm trees... and besides your decor says nothing about it being a UPS store. Remember when UPS took over Mailbox, etc? Did you not get the memo? I just moved into the area and was the first time I tried to find your store so I think your rude employee should have approached this situation a bit differently... First .... chop down those palm trees. They are not doing you any favors. Second ... try remodeling the inside of your store away from Mailbox etc. and change it to UPS ... which is the correct and legal name of your store. I love the UPS store on Village Blvd. I have been going there for years and have NEVER had a bad experience. I am greeted at the door by name and they always take care of me with whatever it is i need. They treat all of thier customers equally and provide a great service. This is one of the most helpful and courteous stores (not just UPS) but STORES, I've ever been to. And I didn't just catch them on a good day, I've been there several times, be it needing to drop a package off 5 minutes prior to opening and them opening to doors to receive the package for me - to needing signatures and stamps. They are all very nice, helpful, knowledgeable and willing. Being pleasant makes ANY experience better. Visiting this store is a delight. These women work very hard and get along well and it shows. I would like to know if anyone has ever had a problem with the UPS Store on 931 Village Blvd. in West Palm Beach, FL? I had two pieces of property damaged by this company, and I would like to warn others. I shipped an antique seascape painting with gilded frame from this store as well as an antique piece of pottery (plant pot), from my Grandmother's estate. I paid the two nice young Colombian sales clerks a substantial amount to pack and ship these items separately. The items arrived at my sister's home shattered in pieces. I then tried to make a claim at the store, since I insured the items at the UPS store, but they denied me. I then called corporate, and they, too, eventually denied my claim. To those who live in Palm Beach County, I cannot recommend this store. They are not honest in the way they conduct their business. I also sadly cannot recommend my local Post Office on Haverhill Rd, where I have also recently had a lost or stolen package. I can recommend the US post office in Palm Beach Gardens, FL for shipping. Walk in to ship a box immediately before I was greeted. I was told you either need to buy a box or tape. Hello to you as well. Sad part about it I needed to buy a box that they didn't even have in stock. I didn't have to buy a box because my package was completely fine to ship in the box I had with it. Of course the manager made sure I bought tape so I did and finished paying for my package to be shipped. I thought when you pay to ship a package it apart of standard procedure that the tape should be included but they insisted I buy the tape. Bought the tape and walked out the door I decided I paid for the tape I might as well use it and turned back to get the tape which was surprising to me was the tape I just bought they were going to put back on the shelf. Wow that was so unethical charge me for the tape and because I walked out you for a minute you decide to put the tape on the shelf instead of coming to get me as I was standing outside your company. Im writing this to express my displeasure with the service i received today (3-21-20) at 954am. I came to retrieve a package that was supposed to be delivered to an address but it was instead taken to your store. The package name did not match mine, however i am the owner of the package and had receipts, credit card and state ID to prove such. I can understand if your policy does not allow this transaction. Please do not think I am trying to dispute your policy. The main reason i am writing you today is due to the unprofessionalism of your employee "Dave". For starters the moment I walked into the store I can hear him using profanity (f-word) as he's complaining about something. He didn't seem to care very much about swearing in my presence. The employee was very aggressive and took a confrontational tone immediately with me. I am not going to dispute your policy but what I do take issue with is the unprofessionalism.
