One person in front of me. I wait patiently. Finally, it's my turn. The lady behind the counter tells me, "You have to go around to the cashier and stand in that line." Okay... fine. Now! I have three people in front of me waiting for a cashier. So I walk around and get into Line #2, because apparently returning something now requires completing a side quest. I wait again. Then the SAME lady (avoiding to give her name) at Customer Service, takes the person in front of me, she finishes with them, and then looks at me and says, "I can help you now." Oh, NOW you can help me? No thanks. I've already completed two lines, burned half my afternoon, and earned enough points to unlock another cashier. So I tell her, "I'll let this cashier help me. You've already wasted enough of my time." As I'm leaving, I give her my best stern voice: "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES." I walk out... And apparently my internal monologue decided it was no longer internal: "ASSWIPE!" Not my finest customer-service moment, but why make me wait in two lines when you have a big sign that says customer service and then tell me to over there for line two? But seriously... THAT'S A STAPLES PROBLEM. I'm shopping at Amazon.
