I've moved nearby and use this UPS multiple times a week lately for Amazon returns for both purchases and gifts from our baby registry. I love their self-serve Amazon section in the back where you can scan the code yourself and be in and out with no line in minutes. They have some new staff who are incredibly efficient and friendly. Shipping is easy as pie and they deserve an update from a few years ago as customer service and overall experience has greatly improved. read more

So, I went to the UPS store 5180 in Virginia Beach, Va.to pick up my deceased mother's property because I was treated so disrespectfully over the phone so I figured if I get face-to-face with this UPS Employee, she would feel a lot better after an in person interaction was done. Wrong thing to do. She got loud with me in the UPS store in front of customers, and when I refuse to get back loud with her as she rudely slammed a paper for me to sign in my face that I refuse to sign because I don't want anything to do with that UPS store anymore and after I begged and plead with her in a low tone of voice (in which it is all on camera because I know your UPS is recording) she slammed the paper and ink pen in my face on the counter screamed at me and yelled at me and continued to walk away without even talking to me. After I was ignored, I went outside and as a grown man started to cry because those items were very personal to me, but I couldn't meet this woman face-to-face again I know I would've been crushed.This was the most nastiest interaction I've ever had in my life coming from someone who works in customer service and it's very shocking that it comes from a UPS MANAGER. I called another UPS location that's about 3 1/2 miles or even that location because now my package has to be shipped back to Florida, and then immediately paid for it to be shipped back up here to Virginia to another UPS location. Plan to be standing in line for 30 plus minutes. Always only one worker running the registers/ scanners etc. They move at sloths pace. So, if you have the time to kill this place is for you. If you have responsibilities and work then do NOT come here. This is a norm. read more

Makes the post office look like the most efficient organization on the planet. Don't even think about using this location even for a simple Amazon dropoff unless you've got an hour to kill while one employee surfs the internet and the other employee takes 20 minutes to do a simple transaction in front of you. read more

My very first time in this store was a good experience! I went there In the afternoon and there was a very nice younger gentleman who helped me with my Amazon return! I usually get nervous when it comes to mailing ANYTHING out, but he was very helpful and respectful! He had great manners and was very patient while helping me! read more

Kela was so nice! He attended to me the moment I walked in and immediately began helping. He was polite, knowledgeable & even made polite small talk while creating my shipping label. I was nervous to mail my package from here because of the negative reviews but I was surprised when I just said screw it and went because I was on low time and I didn't want to wait at the post office. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and the lady was super helpful, friendly, and effective! I will definitely be coming here again if I need to mail something else. read more

I shipped a 32 pound carpet 16 July 2018 from this location to Chicago. It never arrived at the next UPS scan. In fact, tracking showed "Label created" and I sense it never made it to the truck. I put in a claim. Checked back four times, supplied photographs and was told to give it more time. I finally declared to the clerk after six weeks, "It is gone (not lost), I want to be paid." A check was written 20 September 2018, short $23.88. I have written three letters to the store requesting the balance, without an answer. Absolutely the worst possible business practices/processes in the free world. Judging by previous poor reviews, the owner will apologize, say she will speak to associates and ask I give them another try or call her. The number she gives is for the store. She is not there, so: "Jackie Chavez, please send my $23.88. Better yet, I'll dispute this with the credit card company, so I won't bother you further." Update: I received a check for $23.88 on 19 Feb 2019- seven months after this nightmare began. Thank you. read more

Ms. Hill is training a new person and she will not assist the customer as the line gets longer and longer on the register that allows scanners. They take forever to ship a small ground package because she's training her on the job and she doesn't think that she should move customers to register with a working scanner while her trainee processes a package for one dollar and makes eight people wait in line. The owner of this franchise should lose it because she/he doesn't know how to operate a business with people that actually care about their customers time. Hopefully they will read this review and realize you can't make people sit 30 minutes to scan a package. It's so obnoxious I can't even tell you in the fact that they don't realize it is even more frustrating. read more

Upon entering, I was enthusiastically greeted by Destiny, who immediately approached the counter to assist me. She had such a pleasant disposition and complimented the purse that I have (which is cute LoL) I explained to her my dilemma in trying to do an Amazon return of identical items and thought I could save money by combining the items. The worst customer service. Listen, I am not a Karen lol I work customer service so I know. Older African American lady was very snappy, basically yelling, and had no patience with us. I've been to literally dozens of UPS stores across the country and this is only the 2nd bad one I have seen. The employees are rude, abrasive and very slow to give you any kind of decent service. Worst store ever! I drove over twice because they wouldn't return my two voicemails after I found out my letter was not delivered overnight as they guaranteed. Turns out the guy typed the wrong address on the label. They charged me $44 and they would not refund my money. It's going to be three more days before the letter is actually delivered. Unless you have a lot of time and know the workers, skip Birdneck location. I sat in line20 min, held the door for upsdriver 3 times and a woman walked in that they knew and took her to the front of the line. Really !?!? This is the worst location I have ever been and I have been to many ups locations up the east coast none of them are this bad. Lack of professionalism and caring is appalling.
