I was in a line waiting and finally I was first in line , then they just closed the line. What?! Finish this line don't ask to merge to the other side. Ridiculous! Very poor management. I had to move my senior citizen self to another line and thankfully a kind person told me to get in front of her. You just don't close a line if there are people who have been waiting for 10 minutes. That's just plain rude, poor management. Terrible. I will give them a two star review because I got an AARP discount. But other than that, ugh! Topeka, needs another store. Improve your service! I called earlier to get their new address as their site still says Wanamaker. The guy on the phone argued with me that it doesn't say that. I had to read it to him, but he still was rude about it. I had a pre-paid label, and just wanted to drop off the box. I was following the email I received which was to print off my label, put it on the package, then get the code scanned at the store. The male clerk (black, curly, longish hair) got pissy with me because he printed another label. How about being a better customer service rep and checking the box first or asking if a label needs printing? I don't know how the system works. Still the slowest UPS store ever. I have used the UPS Store in Salt Lake, Chicago, and Fort Worth for 20 years and this is the slowest. Why do they make mailbox customers wait in line so long just to pick up a package? Why? Other stores do not make customers wait in line....they know their customers and when they are there to get their mail they don't make them wait in line just to pick up a package. i walk in today, 09/28/24 shortly after 10:00 am, rather large box, an amazon return. i go to the counter with the amazon sign, guy says he'sclosed i ask isn't this where i return amazon. Large woman, i assume manager snapped at me, "he's closed, you will need to get in line." She was only counter open, with about four in line. then a small lady opened, just stared stright ahead, " i can help whover is next." acts like a robot, no one smilesin this place, all look miserable, act miserable. i turned to kleave and said "you're all a real happy bunch in here aren't you". Having read the negative reviews, I was expecting the worst when I arrived on December 20 to return two packages, one to Dish Network and one to Amazon. I was not first in line, but I did not have a long wait (surprising for so close to Christmas). The gentleman who assisted me was very nice and polite. I had the things I needed ready to go, and my experience was flawless. Thank you, to everyone working at the store that morning -- you were seen and appreciated! read more

We used this UPS branch for our mail service while in town for months, my husband and myself are so grateful and thankful from manager to the staffs for being nice, helpful and reliable in every aspect of the services they deliver. If you value your belongings, do not use this store! I recently had to come to Kansas to settle my sister's estate. My realtor, Tracy O'Brien of Keller Williams, kindly offered to have some very fragile mementos professionally packed and shipped to me. Unfortunately, the person doing the packing, broke the item BEFORE he packed it up. Inexcusable and unacceptable. Tracy called several times before getting a call back and was then told a claim had to be put in. The items weren't damaged during transit, they were damaged before shipping. I spoke with someone at the location on 6/24 approximately 1:09 local time. Not sure if he said his name was Steve or Brice but he was inexcusably rude wanting to know why I was calling when he already spoke with Tracy. I called because I'm the owner of the damaged item and their performance was less than stellar; I had no interest in speaking to this inept jerk, I wanted to speak to the owner which of course, he refused to provide a name or number. Hopefully, whomever monitors this store will read this review and reach out because with inept employees like this, you may as well close the store. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I went in there to ship something and when I was at the front of the line the lady at "drop offs only" said "come on" pointing to the floor like I'm a dog in the rudest tone ever. she asked for my number and I gave it and then when it came to the addresses she shoved a piece of paper in my face and said "write it down cause I don't wanna be askin you no mo questions" SO RUDELY. she's not even looking at me at this point. her manager had to come over and ask if she needed a break. at this point I'm so mad but I brush it off and tell her I like her lashes. she doesn't even answer and she just keeps being rude especially to customers around her. I would except this attitude if I was rude first but these people are just assholes and the whole place needs to be replaced. they don't even deserve the one star I gave them. dicks. dont come here if you're having a decent day. If you have been scammed by this store please contact the Kansas Attorney Generals consumer protection office and file a complaint. They advertise a pack and ship guarantee but do not pay when the item is destroyed. I personally paid almost $100 to have them pack an item and ship it only to have the item be destroyed. The Emporia branch UPS Store has been going out of their way to help customers. I've gone in with a slip from a late package, expecting them not to have it, but they explained that the truck hadn't arrived that morning and double-checked to see if it had arrived on a later truck. More recently, I went to drop off a package and I completely forgot what the hours were. An employee who happened to be there was extremely understanding and remembered me when I came back later. read more

I had to drop off some Amazon returns today. I have always just had them scan my return and my code and go on my way.. Today they was telling me I needed to have boxes to ship them back. My return did not say that but she showed me her paper tho that showed the difference. So I was like whatever just get it done. The lady there was rude so I was rude right back. So whatever I tried to pay with what cash I had which was 100 dollar bill. Well now she's telling me they won't take that. Which on the door it don't say they can't take big bills. She was like pay for your return I'm trying to you won't take my money. She was like take your items back and take them to the other store. I ended up paying with my Debt card. Then another customer was starting to get into with me. It's not my fault I was trying to pay and they wouldn't take my 100 dollar bill. So if you try to do business there take small bills and your own boxes.. I will never do business in there again.. Very unprofessional.. I was hot by the time I left the store. Took in a heavy package this morning to find out shipping cost so I could invoice a buyer. The employee weighed it and measured it and told me how much shipping would be to the zip code I gave her. After invoicing the buyer and getting paid for the item and the shipping, I took the package back to the same ups store later the same day. A different clerk weighed and measured but this time I was given a cost about $15 more! And even though I told him I'd already been given a lower price it didn't matter. So now I'm out the extra money. May not seem like much money, but it really is! read more

The manager at store #3349 is the rudest, most aggressive manager I have ever encountered. I have been going to this UPS store for years. I regularly mail my daughter, who goes to college out of state, packages and I usually give them my name & phone number & they pull up my daughter's address. Her address was not in their system. I did not have her address with me knowing that they always just pull it up on their computer. I asked if I could give them my cell number. They said that won't change anything. I asked to talk with the manager. He came out & told me the computer randomly deletes customer's information, that I should have had the address & not expected them to have it. ( which is true, but since this has never happened before, I didn't have it with me). I called my husband to get the address & I could hear him talking about me... I told my husband, then the manager called me a smart ass. He became aggressive. Came over to the counter & told me I should have had the address if I wanted to mail it. I could not believe he called me a smart ass. He was aggressive, unprofessional, didn't even try to help the girl at the computer. I will never go back to this UPS. I was good friends with the previous owners & this would have never happened when they owned this store. read more

We stopped by the UPS Store by the Hyvee on 29th Street in Topeka to make booklets for the Ceremony of Life for our brother who had recently died. All the employees were very kind, considerate, and professional. Stacie was very kind when I started to cry, and spent extra time making sure that we had the font our brother's daughter had described wanting for the booklet. A small detail, but important to us. As I waited for Stacie to do the finishing touches, I saw many people come and go. Some were very rude and in a hurry but the employees remained calm and professional. Regulars came in: one wanted to check his mailbox and one wanted to mail a large item to his son. The young lady who handled the transactions called them by name as they walked in the door and asked them questions about their lives--even remembering one man's wife's name (i.e. "How's Martha doing?"). It could have been an unpleasant, depressing situation after the death of a loved one but instead it left our family feeling great about the future of this world. Also, they did an excellent job on the booklets and many people at the Celebration of Life commented on how beautiful they turned out. read more

Took glass ware that I needed to have shipped into this store on Saturday 3/5 - requested that they package and ship it.... the clerk who was sporting a red Mohawk appeared very reluctant and confused... he stated "oh that will be expensive.. you want US to pack it ?? " He apparently just didn't want to do it ! I worked with the owner of the store and received a full refund with no issues. I have no issues with this store. I took a USB drive in to store 3349 (6021 SW 29TH ST STE A TOPEKA, KS 66614). This drive had 34 PDF files. I asked the person to print the files, two sided, B&W. These files were printed at a cost of $14.16. When I got home I discovered that all the files had been printed as one file. There were no blank pages denoting the end of the file. So page 3 file 1 would be printed on one side and the back page would have page 1 of file 2. I took the documents back and explained they were printed incorrectly. The clerk / store manager printed the files correctly and charged me an additional $18.48. I protested telling him he had printed the files incorrectly. He insisted he did not. I, of course, had no choice but to pay as I needed the documents. I have taken multiple files to this store in 2016 and 2017 and they have been printed correctly with no issues. In addition, I have used the store web site for printing and submitted multiple files and had no issues. I cannot imagine why anyone would select all files and print them as one document. If I had wanted that I would have created one file with the documents in the order I wanted them. The issue that got me is that this person insisted that his interpretation of what he should do was correct and that I had specified that he do so. I concede I told him to print the files two sided and B&W. However, based on my previous experiences with store personnel and the web site and my own common sense I did not conceive that this person would select all the files and treat them as one. Be very careful what you specify. I do believe this individual should be retrained to at least ask clarifying questions if there is any possibility of a misinterpretation of a customer's request. read more

Very upset. I had a stack of papers I needed scanned in and emailed so I could send it to my home loan lender. There were several employees in the store. One guy helped me and was done with my entire stack in about 30-45 seconds, not exaggerating. I had already been instructed to login to my email and when the files popped up he sent them to my email. All said and done a couple minutes max. I'm then told that the price is $1 PER SHEET of paper scanned. These are digital copies, there was no ink or paper used. Not sure what service they think they're providing, but for that much money someone should have had a happy ending. I'm only partially kidding. The employee who helped me was nice but why in the world would not a single employee have told me that BEFORE they had been scanned when they saw me standing there with a big stack of papers. The guy told me the price ($80!!!!!!!!!!!) and I just stared at him until he said, how about we say there were only 50 sheets? I fully expected about $.15-$.20 per sheet. Since when did this skyrocket? I was so flabbergasted I just paid and left but I still have sticker shock and I am mad that I wasn't told beforehand! read more
