They did GREAT work for me a year or so ago, but this time, they completely failed to do what they had agreed to, and left me without a working laptop computer when I very much needed it for my job. After agreeing to make a simple but profitable repair on my laptop for $129 on the Friday before a three-day weekend, Amin (the manager) called me on Tuesday of the next week to say they had not done the work because they found an almost invisible crack in the bottom cover of the laptop. He said they would not do the work unless they were allowed to replace the bottom cover. He said he had tried to call me on Friday, but my phone logs showed no call from Uni. I use this computer for my job. As per our agreement, I had bought the replacement parts and taken Friday off so they could do this work, and had pressing work to do the next week, so their failure to do as they had promised and their after-the-fact notification that they had not done it was a huge problem for me. The work in question required zero technical skills - replacing a keyboard with a broken spacebar, and a damaged but working power port - so I watched a Youtube video of the job, bought compressed air and heat sink compound at Radio Shack, and did it myself. The crack in the bottom cover was not a problem, and the computer works perfectly - I am writing this review using it. I knew Uni would make a good profit off this job - it would have taken a half hour for someone who knew what they were doing- but I figured taking it to them would save me time. I was wrong.

With the speed of a cheetah, elegance of a swan and heart of a ....hippo? Lion? (Something with a really sincere big heart!) these guys have it all. Positive, fun, extremely hard working and caring. Moved all of my heavy crap up 4 flights of stairs -- they acted like it was nothing. I climbed the stairs once and almost had a heart attack while drenched in my own tears and sweat. Besides their moving prowess they go the extra mile with customer service : I honestly just fell in love with them. If it went over that time it would be $39.00. Wait What? I took in my laptop and they work on it in a location you can watch what they are doing. It really appeared like they were trying to get done before 5 minutes. Almost like it was a competition or something. He failed but was not going to charge me. I insisted on paying. He tried so hard to get it done within 5 minutes. It was more like 7 minutes. I gladly paid the $35. It's been a couple of months now and my laptop runs like a chp now. Had it up and running just fine without having to do anything. Asked me to bring in my monitor to check it. The monitor ended up being the problem. Diagnostic was very reasonably priced. Had a monitor in stock that was also reasonably priced so they fixed me up. Very happy with the experience and will gladly return in the future with any further computer problems.
