I was so impressed by the lady that helped me at the UPS store on sixth Street in Kansas. There is something to be said about customer service, and she was tops ! This is the UPS Store in Lawrence. Friendly, prompt, professional--what more could you ask for? I'm always in and out quickly, never stuck waiting around, and the space is clean and well-organized. My only complaint? The parking lot is a bit of a squeeze. But hey, that's more of a city planning issue than their fault. All in all, a well-run shop that makes errands surprisingly painless. If I could give Zero stars I would. You would think a shipping company would do their job. I was notified two weeks after a two day delivery could for some reason not be delivered. If a package cannot be delivered. It is on the company to notify the person. Unbelievable service never go to this store. Don't trust this company to ship urgent mail. I had a bad experience at this store. First I went to the one on 31st who said they were closing early due to no air conditioning. They sent me to another store and said the same person manages both. I drove there. The person was incredibly unfriendly. I put the things down and explained my situation. I had to ship these items by closing because I'm from out of town and am flying home. He stares blankly but did not help. At all. He told me the 3 boxes alone would cost $100. I said ok, I just want to wait while you pack them. He did nothing. Then he said they wouldn't get around to packing tonight so it would just sit there until tomorrow and maybe go out in 3 days. It became clear he just wasn't going to do it. When I asked why they charge 3x what they others charge he said it's a franchise. I left. I would not use this store again. read more

My wife loves shoes and sometimes she likes what the UPS guy brings and sometimes she doesn't! After a shoe parade, a decision made, a call placed and a label printed out we tape the box back together, add the label and head to our UPS Store! We like the UPS Store nearest to our home on Monterey Street, actually the address is 4000 W 6th St, but the drive into the UPS is off of Monterey St. The clerks are always friendly and very helpful, fast, and always give us a return receipt without asking. I am very impressed with their efficiency and will probably keep making trips to this UPS as long as my wife keeps up her shoe habit. I just took some packages to send by UPS to the Lawrence, Kansas UPS store and had the most fun time. Anthony and Bree were working today and they are SO personable and made me feel like we'd known each other forever. I felt appreciated, respected and welcome and not just a customer. Very rude. I had a hard time with Amazon delivery in the first place and no one at UPS is making it better. So Amazon set it up so that my packages would be picked up for return rather than dropping have me drop it off. Well, I've had a hard time getting UPS to pick up packages before - they deliver really late or not at all, they didn't pick up packages before even though the packages were in plain sight (I was later told that an adult has to be physically present for them to take the packages - in the time of Covid, they want someone to physically hand them over?!) and just leave a label to let me handle it, they don't come back to try again, nothing. So I decided to drop them off at UPS so I'm sure the return gets done on time. I get to the store and the lady there, who is annoyed she has to wait on me clearly, tells me that she does not have the label, that I have to wait for the delivery driver to give me a label, then I can drop it off! What sense does that make?! I ask her if I can leave the packages there and bring the label back later - she says no. Doesn't offer to call the driver to get the label, only thing she says I can do is cancel this return (which was a nightmare scheduling with Amazon in the first place) and schedule a new one, then print that label, then she can return for me. So I have to wait until the driver comes to pickup the packages or leave a label (No telling when that will happen - I'm guessing anytime within the next 48 hours so I have to be physically available that entire time) and then the return can be done. I told her this is a nightmare and she responds, "Well have a good day", all smart-alick. Not only has Amazon mishandled this whole return, but having UPS give rude service and not offer to try to make it right or help me, is just the cherry on top.
