This is a great store. I had an Amazon return and I was in the store for less than 10 minutes. The staff is super organized. All service stations were open and all the employees were working. No one was slacking off. This is a well oiled machine. The store is easy to access, it's a nice, clean store and plenty of parking. They sell plenty of packing and moving supplies. They also rent mailboxes and it's a nifty little store. The staff is fast, professional and nice. I would highly recommend this store. I am glad it is on the Amazon return list. read more

A classic rip off store. They tried to charge me for a service that I got for free at another ups store. He kept saying, "we gotta make money." I took my packages to the store on 31st street, and the did it without extortion. read more

Over and above customer service was my experience with this location. Because of some current mobility issues, the manager, Cameron. quickly offered to help. He retrieved the packages from my car to create a shipping label and then informed me of the cost. He then processed my payment and returned the tracking info to me. That is excellent customer service! read more

This UPS store over charged me to ship a bike from KS to CA. They charged me $316.36 to ship a standard mountain bike. After doing research after I paid to ship the bike I found that it should have been at least half and the lowest cost to ship was $37.00. The amount of the up charge was because the size of the box. When I received the bike in California I asked the driver if this was a standard size box for a bike, He laugh and said this was the biggest box he has seen to ship a bike. The UPS corporate do not do anything to resolve this matter. read more

Problem: I live apart from all of my family, and due to my travel schedule (and forgetfulness), I find myself needing to send gifts and such in a quick fashion. As this place isn't far from my office, I usually end up here on a lunch break, and they have always been very friendly. I never need much assistance - it's already packed, I know all the rules and options, etc. - but still, I know they are there for me if I do. read more

I am so disgusted at the service this store provides. Tyler Adams spoke to me in such a sexist and disrespectful way that I am completely appalled. After searching the UPS website and seeing that they provide notary services, I learned after Tyler notarized my document that there would be a $10 NOTARY FEE. This was not listed AT ALL on the website and was not mentioned to me until after the service was provided. This is the first huge error on the part of UPS - keeping fees hidden from customers is deceiving, and this fee was listed NO WHERE on the UPS website or in the store. After being flustered and paying the fee, I realized how ridiculous it is to CHARGE $10 to notarize a document. After asking for my money back and offering to give the document back to Tyler Adams, he showed no effort to provide any semblance of customer service. Instead, he spoke to me in a condescending nature, informing me that UPS is a "business" (as if I didn't know) and not even attempting to listen. After working for years in customer service and troubleshooting the needs to distressed patrons, I was shocked that an employee would speak to a customer so rudely. While trying to be "cool" and help several customers at once, Tyler completely ignored my concerns and spoke to me in a childish and mocking manner, while also attempting to help several other customers and not fully paying attention to my concerns. At this point, I would rather walk my next package to its destination than use UPS services. The hidden fees and terrible customer service should keep anyone away from this store. I have never felt the need to negatively review a store before, but this experience completely changed that. I hope no one else will be treated so disrespectfully at this "business." read more

This is the second year I have used this UPS location to print posters for the Lawrence Art Guild's Art in the Park. They went out of their way to be helpful and did a beautiful job. Making sure to deliver a product we could be proud of. They were able to print a 12X18 full color poster (which I couldn't find anyplace else - standard is 11X17) and this slightly larger size helped our posters stand out. Cameron knew exactly who I was and why I was there and worked with me endlessly to figure out glitches in sending the images I needed to have printed. Making sure the color was just right and giving suggestions that improved the product. Tyler runs a very professional business and really wants to work with you to get what you need. I will use them again for all of my printing needs. read more

The notary had a condescending and unprofessional attitude. After noting that I had already signed a document before coming into the store, he remarked in a matter-of-fact tone, "Did you sign this in front of me? The whole point of a notary is to have you sign in front of one." Instead of politely pointing out my mistake, he repeatedly made snarky comments. read more

I was so impressed with the staff in this store especially Tyler. I recently helped my granddaughter move to Lawrence so she could go to college and needed to return a car carrier to her Dad in California. We first went to the UPS store on 31st street but received poor customer service and was told the carrier had to go freight which is almost twice as expensive as ground rates. After checking with the national headquarters of UPS, we tried the store on Clinton Parkway. It was so refreshing to have outstanding customer service. We were able to package the carrier in such a way that it qualified for the lower rate. I highly recommend this UPS store...they are friendly, honest and go out of their way to deliver outstanding customer service. read more
