Today for the first time in 5 years of mailing my packages here, I had the most magical experience getting a receive confirmation for pre paid packages I, was dropping off. This magic came in the form of Elvira. Elvira is one of the clerks at the receiving counters, as she processed my pre paid packages, I asked for a receipt, and she performed this service such a motherly laugh, she talked to me like we had known each other a long time, a felling of kindred spirits. I prefer UPS to the US Postal Service and FedEx. Overall more user friendly for setting up shipping and printing labels via the web site. I have 30-40 shipments per week and anything to help with efficiency is welcome. Further, in my neighborhood, the UPS delivery folks are friendly, reliable, and helpful. The folks in this neighborhood notice. Unfortunately, the UPS Store (package drop-off) experience is highly dependent on the store location. This UPS Store location (McGinnis Ferry and Peachtree Industrial intersection) is consistently a stressful, unpleasant experience. Personnel at this location are more concerned about what is easiest for them. Several times in the last month, I have dropped off 12+ packages and only 11 end up scanned. Scan again? Only with a heavy sigh and roughly throwing boxes around. A couple of the clerks act as if I am doing them a favor by using UPS. There is a more seasoned worker in this store who is actually quite pleasant and efficient but the rest of the staff does not impress. On the contrary, the UPS Store at Johns Creek (McGinnis Ferry and Old Atlanta) is consistently a positive experience. The personnel are helpful and pleasant - from the (apparent) owners to the newly hired help. If only UPS would try to provide customer service guidance to clerks at their stores.. read more

I have been sending same envelope with same weight same method every month through this ups store. I experienced the mailing cost big difference today. So, I asked the store staff - Sam, why the S&H fee big different compare to last month. His answer was, May be a different person handled it. I said, it was you the same person handled the same size same weight envelope for me. After then, there was no more explanation. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY SLOW if they even acknowledge you, INACCURATE SHIPPING ESTIMATES, RUDE CLERKS, Slow because the 'college kid' clerks are not trained well or incompetent. You could stand there for a long time while they try to ignore you and hope you go away instead of providing any service. Brought package in to get an estimate on shipping, took them forever because they didn't know how to give an estimate and had to wait for the more experienced guy. Finally got the estimate. Went back a couple of days later and the quote was suddenly $60 more. What???? It was the same guy who initially gave me the quote too. Of course, he said he didn't remember, how convenient. Left with my package and went to another store. NOT RECOMMEND and WILL DEFINITELY NEVER USE THEM AGAIN read more
