I've been putting off returning a pile of Amazon purchases because there were multiple items in different sizes and colors with multiple return upc/ instructions. UPS store on Kearny has the best most patient clerk ever. She helped me figure out what was what and helped ident items. I overheard her say she hadn't even clocked in and had not even had lunch yet. I wish I could give it a zero! I recently set up a box here so I could receive packages in a secure location while I am away for 4-6 weeks at a time. I had a low value package shipped to my box here to test their ability to handle it. They FAILED miserably. I was the only customer in the store and waited while the staff finished personal conversations. Then the package they brought to me was not mine....not even addressed to the right box. I was then repeatedly told that was the only package but they never went back to check. Then with a tracking number, they still couldn't find. They asked me what size box it came in (I hadn't seen it yet to know what the shipper used). Kept telling me they didn't have it. When I asked to start a claim for the loss, they finally found it. The manager said it has a different name on it.....IT WAS MY NAME! She then said the box was rented in a different name, so I showed her my contract with my name on it. Then it was such and such employee didn't finish the contract (but collected my annual fee). Manager said it wasn't her fault. Obviously manager is incompetent! No one here wants to take responsibility for multiple blunders on a single package. I CANNOT trust having my packages sent to this store. I will now need to find another package service. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever had! My husband and I came in to ship a box. Tylor took our order. He was very short with us the entire time. When we left the building, we noticed that the address was not complete. I went back in and he brushed me off that Google had dropped part of the address. My husband then went in and asked if it could please be added. Tylor was very frustrated that he had to do the order over again and slammed the paper on the counter. We will NEVER come back, and I advise you all to do the same. It takes such little effort to be nice to people and show some customer service, and this guy needs to learn that! read more

This store baffles me. It's a mail store, that takes mail. When you bring a package that's ready to ship with the label already attached they are legit offended that you don't wait in line to hand them to package. On July 21st, I patronized this UPS Store to ship some documents. I told the clerk I wanted to ship with the cheapest carrier for delivery no later than 5p the next day. This is where it gets a little murky for me. Next thing I know, I am answering questions for my envelope to ship via UPS. After I left the store, I thought to myself, "was UPS the cheapest way to ship or is that just what he chose?" Previously when I have shipped items, the clerk usually says, "You can ship UPS for X rate or USPS for Y rate." UPS might have been the only and/or cheapest method to next day. My point is, I have no idea. One MINOR thing, when the clerk asked for my phone number it pulled up my name. He confirmed it was my name. He never asked for my mailing address and I did not know it was added to the shipment. When I looked at the receipt, the address was my old, old address. The clerk should have asked, "is 123 Smith St. still your address?" He shouldn't have solely relied upon a database which contained old information. Bottom line - my package did arrive on time and I would utilize a UPS Store again. read more

I usually go to the east Battlefield store, so this was my first time at this location. I walked in and was the only customer in the store. There was one employee in there who never said a word when I walked in. I said, "Hello" and he still never said anything and just stood there. I walk over trying to locate where to sit my package down since I'd never been in this location before. It was a humidifier, so it wasn't a light small box. The guy still doesn't say a word. I get on my phone looking for the return code and it takes me a minute and I apologize. Still not a word from this guy! I find it and he scans it and just hands the receipt to me, still without a word. Worst customer service ever! Will not go back to this location. read more

Not so much a review about the UPS Store than a story of my epic adventure. You see, I was off to see the wizard the wonderful wizar... Wait wrong story. This UPS Store, although not my "home store," is now my favorite. It's do to the friendly staff and wonderful simplicity. Not a bunch of stuff are they trying to peddle. They take care of your printing, faxing, mailing, emailing, binding, and shipping needs. I love being able to just give the fax number there and swing by to pick up my fax. No muss no fuss. Expecting a package, now worries u can have 24 hour access to pick it up (depending on size), because they sign for you. I was returning uverse equipment, had my lug nuts falling off my left front, and doing it all on the sweltering heat. I dropped the equipment had a very friendly chap named Michael assist me with my wheel, snag my receipt and was on my way. They are like an office staff without the overhead of an office. read more

After waiting far too long to pick up a package that we'd missed for delivery, we went in and caught our package before it was returned. Despite the crude customers that treated the employees terribly, the clerks here handled us (and other extremely rude customers) with big smiles and even bigger apologies and patience. I needed to send my wireless hotspot into Cricket Wireless for a warranty issue. Following directions from Cricket Wireless, I took the back off of the hotspot, I removed the battery, I took out the SIM card and I placed EVERYTHING into a plastic bag, (including my receipt for my last payment). I happily waited in the line at the UPS store on East Kearney for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. When it was my turn, I pulled out the receipt with the main component to the hotspot and gave it to her. I explained what they had told me and that I had a code to give her to make sure everything was done promptly. She immediately looked frustrated with me and grabbed the entire bag out of my hand, starting to check it all out and it appeared she was putting it back together. I asked about this and told her I apologize for any inconvenience, I was just following direct orders and showed her on the same paper as code where I had written down the instructions. She said I don't know why they told you to do that because I'm supposed to check it all to make sure there's no scratches on it. She takes all of the components to the other side of her computer and starts wiping them down to make sure that there are not scratches. She then says everythings fine and starts processing my return for warranty. Everytime I reminded her about the code they had given me, she ignored me. At one point, I finally set The Code by her computer on the other side of the counter and she acted like the piece of paper was in her way. I then picked up the piece of paper and said I apologize I was just told it was extremely important to get you this number. She told me that she's not sure why they told me that because she never needs that number and AT&T does it also and it's a waste of time. I took the receipt and paperwork she gave me for the shipping process and my paper that had the code/instructions on it and I walked out the door mumbling to myself, (possibly louder than I thought), I was going to try to get a job here because I love customer service, I'm great at customer service and I love being able to move around at a job but if they treat people like this then I don't think that's a good idea. Most of that was said while I was already almost to my car. I went straight to my house and started doing what I could do from my phone for my current job search. Exactly two days later, I am for the first time since the incident, leaving the house and I see my new Cricket Moxie hotspot at my side door. I thought yay oh my, I'm so excited and then I thought oh no, where's my plastic bag. I started searching my car for and then my house. When all of that was to no avail, I decided to sit down and meditate to retrace my steps. When I did this, all came back to my mind and I realized, I never got my plastic bag back from UPS. Now, I have internet that is already paid for but I do not have a SIM card. I have called the store and the girl that is working now seemed confused on what to do in this situation. I explained to her that it is imperative I get this, I am a single mother with virtually zero money and the need for a job interview coming up via the Internet. She ,again, acted confused. I offered to give her my phone number and asked her to talk to her co-workers and possibly management about looking at cameras to see where it went. She informed me at one point that they did not have a designated lost and found, that she has not seen anything and she hopes they didn't throw it away. I explained I didn't have the money to replace it and it needs to be done and ask her again about the cameras. She said hopefully somebody would be calling me back and I have heard from no one. This is an actual emergency to me. Like a physical emergency that will place me homeless and with zero food. I am extremely upset that they would take approximately $100 out of my pocket and not give a crap or a second thought about it. Not only was their customer service not up to par, (according to my standards as an excellent customer service provider), but when it comes to their actions and ability to deal with the public, (like have a lost and found like any establishment that has public base should), they are inadequate at best and detrimental at worst. Sadly, I know this post will not help me recover the potential job losses and unemployment losses I will undoubtedly have. I know it wont to help me to recover the loss of respect that I received from this establishment. However, maybe people will read this post and know to go to a different UPS Store so they can be treated with the respect they deserve and so that they know their items, (purposely left or not), will be taken care of as if it was the staffs own personal items. Hopefully, some of this will make it mandatory for them to have a lost and found safe that only management and assistant management knows the code to. I had such a positive experience with this UPS store I NEED to rave about it! Shipping a mid century dresser from Springfield to Los Angeles was nothing less than nail biting. The UPS store manager Sherry was so incredibly helpful and kind and understood the fragility of the dresser and how precious it was immediately. She expressed a true level of care and concern with this shipment. She picked it up and called me right away to discuss the packing and shipping options. She and her team opted to build a custom crate and send it freight and had it loaded on the truck the next day. She texted to tell me when it packed, even texted photos of the crate and gave me clear instructions on setting up delivery with driver. When the crate arrived I was so impressed with the amount of wrapping and care they had taken with this piece. Sherry and her team went above and beyond what you would expect from a UPS store. As of today I have officially given up on the UPS store. I have brought so much business here in the past but I can't stand this place anymore. Imagine the DMV minus the help. Expect long wait lines due to understaffing and faculty that cannot figure out how to do the simple tasks that you brought to them because they specialize in it. After three different times of watching people struggle to figure out how to print out my simple flyers on standard size paper I realized the people here actually don't know how to run a printer. I came into this location in order to pick up a package and when I walked in the door one customer was being helped. I stood there for 33 minutes in the line while the line added seven additional people before she was done with the customer. After she was finished with the customer she finally acknowledge that I was even standing in the store, by this time the store was absolutely full. This lady was supposedly the assistant manager and did not acknowledge anybody in any way, shape or form in the store. In addition to all this, the phone finally ring and another guy came out talking on a cordless phone and just ignored all of the customers also. The whole time he was apparently in the back of the store just roaming around instead of helping. I would rate this store a zero stars if it was allowed, therefore they have a very, very, very gracious one star. read more

I arrived at this particular UPS store to send back some batteries to the manufacturer that were shipped in error. There was only one customer ahead of myself. When it was my turn the sales associated told me that I was unable to send batteries because UPS doesn't do that. I told her that it was in the original box and that UPS sent it to my house. Then she said she is going to call and see if they can ship it. I wait 15 minutes for her to get someone on the phone from UPS. Meanwhile customers are coming in to drop off packages and she is just looking dumb at everyone coming in. By this time, the store is full of customers. She proceeds to handle the customers behind me. I am waiting patiently. She gets off the phone and then tells me that she needs the watt hours of the batteries. I tell her the batteries are 12 volts 35 amps. She scoffs at me and says "that is not watt hours". I then again tell her that 12 volts times 35 amps are 420 watts per battery and that there are two batteries. She is still handling customers while arguing with me about the batteries. After she finished with the last customer in the store, she tells me she has to call back UPS hazmat line. I am getting really ticked off by this time. I wait another 20 minutes for her to find out if the batteries are acceptable to be shipped. Once again I have to wait for her to finish waiting on other customers that showed up during this 20 minute wait. I should have left because all I did at this particular UPS store was wait. WASTE of MY TIME. Almost an hour wait for some incompetent sales associate to figure out what the heck she was doing. Un-freaking believable. NEVER again!!!!!! Go somewhere's else. read more
