Been bringing packages to this location for 10 plus years. The old owner had no problem with me dropping off my packages so he could get his extra $1 per. Today I was told I had a 15 package limit per day. It's the same damn driver that picks up in bulk so there's no difference if I drop off or have them pick up at my business location. Stay clear of this particular UPS store! OMG! First of all it was a Saturday at 12PM when I went there to make an Amazon return. All the lights in the store were turned off except for one way in the back of the store. I assume this was to make it look like the store was closed so the slug sitting on a chair in a corner in the dark would not have to hoist himself up and take care of a customer. It wasn't until my wife who was in the car with me noticed that the door was ajar and said there must be someone in there. I went in and as I said the "slug" behind the counter could hardly lift himself to tend to the customer... he grunted something at me and I said I need to make an Amazon return, again grunt, grunt , grunt...(sorry, but that is exactly how he sounded I could hardly understand the slur that was coming out of his mouth) He looked at me and pointed to the counter which I guess was supposed to mean put you package there. He scanned the package handed me my receipt and I said thank you and he just looked at me to which I said said "YOUR WELCOME" and walked out! What a jack-a$$... STAY CLEAR PLEASE FOR YOU OWN RESPECT. This place needs a complete staff overhaul. For the benefit of the owner if you should read this it was on Saturday March 25 2023. Maybe you can look at who you had on staff and provide him with a little "customer service" training and a lesson in just plain human decency! In summary, I paid $89 to have this overnighted and the package took 7 days to get to the destination. The store that I shipped it at has filed a claim and when I called them for status, they were very rude and told me to call back another time. I then called the UPS customer service line and I was told by the chatbot to call the location directly and I was unable to connect with a representative, so I am caught in an ongoing cycle I am going back and forth and feel like I'm getting nowhere and have no one I can speak to about this. Beyond frustrating - to say that I will never give a dime of my hard earned money to UPS is an understatement. read more

The staff has a very bad attitude, there is one particular employee that claims he is the manager, and store owner. He feels he can make up or fabricate policies, put you on the * No fly list,* and threaten to call the cops on you. He likes to point out his camera on the wall. He likes to put words in your mouth. Avoid this UPS store. You will find more helpful and polite employees at the UPS store in Addison off of Lake Street. Not sure why but every time I need to ship a package UPS they never seem to have or be willing to give you the FREE pouches to insert the shipping label. What the heck? I'm shipping via UPS, the pouches are free - why does THIS location have such a problem giving them to customers so they can have their package ready to go once they arrive at the store. The employees here are rude, it's been this way for years. I hate that this is the closest location. Everything about this location is a disappointment. Makes me choose FedEx over UPS as an easier shipping option. I never have such crappy customer service at Kinko's when I go to ship my packages. I brought a package in a few months ago, instead of sending it to the return address they sent it back to me, so I brought it back in and I said you guys sent it right back to me and they just rolled her eyes at me. Used this store to ship a package with insurance and it got lost..it has be 75 days.....no help When you use a UPS store and do not have a account, they put the package under their account. This is a bad practice because you can not get any answers out of UPS because the store is the shipper. SO UPS says the investigation results and the insurance payment went to the store. Was greeted politely upon entering even though there were 3 socially distanced customers ahead of me. The same gentleman was as helpful and courteous to me as he was to all 3 and I only had to wait about 5-10 minutes which I appreciated. I came in with only a document and a label and he immediately provided a UPS envelope to send it in. From reading previous negative reviews, I had dreaded going in here but was pleasantly surprised. Holy shit this place is horrible. The older gentleman that was with another employee, telling him a personal story (nothing that had to do with there duties) and they both look at me and he just continues with his story for at least a minute. He then walks up to me and didn't even greet me. He asked me for my account number but I just had the order number which is what the woman at AT&T told me I'd need. In fact, she made me confirm that I wrote it down because it was that important. I had to run out to my car to get my phone so I could look up the account number and when I came back in he asks for my last name. My last name is pretty common so I told him I'd rather just give him the account number since I had it already. He then asks me why I'm getting all mad at him for. I'm absolutely shocked and look at him and say "no ones mad at you. Chill out" he just says "ok" and we proceed with the shipment. Flippin' weird. I will never go back there. Upon answering my call, the very rude male employee told me there was nothing he could do to help me although I had all information for my shipments. Imagine walking into a UPS store and the employee is in the back corner stuffing his face with food, too lazy to even greet you and when you call him to ask a question responds with a "I have no idea" and gives you a stare like why are you asking me this question. The question I asked was a pretty simple question about a shipping cost and instead of answering my qestion this guy starts complaining on how much work he has to do compared to USPS...are you kidding me? After finishing the food in his mouth he finally got his lazy but to the computer and looked up the cost for me after about 5 minutes of wasting my time. This is definitely not customer service, I also could not understand the $1 extra for packing fee which is simply puting the item in the box that I bought which i would be able to do myself. No matter what your shipping needs are, they will take care of them. They can even package your item for you. Easy to remember them around the holidays, but they can help you all year-round. UPS is useless. I called 5 different numbers with no one knowing what's going. I just needed to ship a mattress to a different state. UPS freight is useless because they ship large packages that weigh 150 lbs but they can't ship a mattress? Ridiculous.
