We booked an appointment online for notary services at the Hercules office, and upon arrival the clerk told us the person was off for that day. He directed us to the Pinole location with no appointment needed, so we went. The clerk at Pinole said that the person was off and asked us to go back the next day. We called the next day before going, the person was still off. The online appointments should be taken off because it does not represent reality. The walk-ins don't work because they don't regularly stuff anyone for the notary services. Avoid to use UPS for this purposes. read more

My sister and her husband were visiting from North Carolina, where they had just sold a house, and needed to have a large number of real estate documents notarized and sent back overnight so their realtor could finish closing the sale. It's not a one-time thing either; this happens almost every time. It's super frustrating, especially when tracking shows your item just sitting there. I understand delays can happen, but why is this location always lagging behind? No bad weather, no strikes--just silence. If anyone else has experienced similar issues, I'd love to hear how you handled it or if you found a way to get things moving faster. Rating: 4.5/5 We stopped by this hole in the wall place a few weeks ago on our way to a funeral, and didn't expect much. Firstly, there is no dine in seating so be prepared to take your meal to-go. Service was prompt and our server Blake was friendly and helpful, he even shined our shoes for us upon entering the establishment. The food was GREAT, although some of the paper was a bit dry. If you do order the paper, get the color copies instead of the black and white ones, they add a new dimension of flavor and are worth the extra cost. I would also recommend their cardboard boxes, but be prepared for an EPIC portion size- I split one with my wife and we couldn't even finish it all! Also, be sure to stock up on the free pens when you go, they're a great dessert for after your meal is done. The ambience was.. not great- it was easy to tell that did not want diners sticking around to enjoy their food, but the food was so good that I didn't mind. I would like to see some tables and chairs, though, so we could have somewhere to wait for our order. Overall, I highly recommend if you're looking for a quick and delicious takeout meal. read more

While I had a very good experience with this store in the past, today it was terrible. They not only failed to keep an appointment, they were also indifferent to the presence of a customer. . I made an online appointment for a notarization. I was there on time. I told them that I had an appointment. The three workers in the store told me to wait 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes. During those 10 minutes, they were talking about vacations and schedules among themselves - loudly and for everyone else to hear. It was something that should have been done quietly. The notary clearly couldn't care less. They were UTTERLY INDIFFERENT TO THE CUSTOMER. Finally, I told them I would leave and take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a tale of two reviews. One for the company and the other for the store. This store is awesome and they get five stars. I had a package that had been delivered and it was supposed to be delivered to them. The woman who worked there looked for my package and spent time doing it. She looked up my code and I showed her the app where they said it was delivered and she looked in the delivered items and couldn't find it. She looked at the app again and said that it was probably delivered to my house and it was (which is where they lose three stars)! UPS is a trainwreck. 1) I have a mychoice membership online, but had to have a second membership for the app 2) And these memberships don't speak to each other. 3) The app said that my item was on it's way to me and very close. It wasn't, it was just on a truck. 4) I asked for all packages that are sent to my home to be forwarded to the location at San Pablo Towne Center and the app said that was the case, but it wasn't. 5) It was sent to my condo, left by the front door and promptly stolen. 6) I was told that when I made the change, that I had nothing to worry about - WRONG!!! 7) I was supposed to get a call from an inspector/investigator. That never happened. 8) I had to call the company, who sent the package, and ask them to resend it and they were great! But, I had to call?!? 9) The only Customer Service Rep who helped me was the last one. The first one hung up on me. The second one, was helpful, but treated me like a dummy. I had to tell him that I knew my tech and wasn't a dummy. 10) The app said that the package was being delivered on the 9th, Monday. But later on the page, said that it was on the truck on it's way to me. I called because I wanted to know which one it was. That simple question and request for clarity, evolved into a three hour nightmare, which included a total of 95 minutes of waiting on hold and listening to the same, sickening song over and over again! Thanks for the non-help UPS. You guys suck during the Christmas season big time and I don't see things getting better. 11) As a big company, I just have much higher expectations. You aren't a fly by night, mom and pop company. You have money, trucks, computer apps, etc. And you didn't even bother to try and find the package. I feel bad punishing this location for the company, but I am. Three stars lost! read more

My sister and I frequent this local UPS store a lot because of all the Amazon/package returns we have. The workers are usually nice and the interactions have been fairly smooth (though longer lines & wait times due to social distancing during the Pandemic). We are usually happy with the service here, however, this review is based on a recent return that got lost during a return/delivery. Back in January, we had dropped off two return packages/items; one for Amazon drop-off that didn't require boxing and another for ground service. While the one with ground shipping got delivered successfully and on time, the one meant to be returned to Amazon ultimately got lost. I didnt notice this until March (2 months later) came around and Amazon messaged me about not receiving the return (because we usually dont have any issues here). I eventually got a fee from Amazon because they didnt receive the item back on time & I had called the store inquiring about the return. The owner (I believe), told me they had recently ran into some problems for the Amazon returns, but reassured me that they had definitely loaded the item onto the trucks (although the tracking number on the UPS website says it hadn't been shipped out). While I don't think it may have been a problem on the store's part, Im only giving 3 stars because she had promised to look into the matter for me and was supposed to call me back (I had left me number and info). I never got a follow up call; which I thought was quite irresponsible, and had to resolve the issue with Amazon. read more

Have had great service in the past regarding fingerprints taken and document scans. But today, it was horrible. Why hire grown ass women to yell at youngins or people who have CLEARLY never been to a UPS to do a return transaction and shipping out for the first time and need assistance on figuring out what to do. PLEASE Do better. Theres no need to raise your voice or give attitude whenever someone is already anxiously trying to figure out what to do with an amazon return. One thing I hate about people is when they are working there for a reason; To be the help that someone needs and ends up being the worst part of their day by getting yelled at or thrown so much attitude by the person who is supposed to help make whatever you need to do easier. Never Opens on Time! Once again I am at this UPS location that is supposed to open at 8:00 a.m. and it is not open. It never opens on time! The worker that opens is always late! If you're not going to open on time then change your hours to 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. so customers are not wasting their time showing up at 8:00 a.m.! So frustrating!!! read more

I come here all the time as this is my closest UPS store to my house and as of today 2/9/23 their customer service has improved dramatically, Blake and Mishelle are great not only on the customer servive but they are knowledgeable on the products and the information when you request it.
