AWESOME STORE, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TONS OF LOYAL, LONG TERM CUSTOMERS! I rented a mailbox here early in 2013, prior to moving to San Antonio from abroad, and have been using this store ever since. I have used other stores over the years based on convenience and location, but have always left those stores wishing I had gone to this one instead. I have never experienced any of the issues alleged by those who have left negative reviews. Additionally, I am always wary of the extremely passionate negative reviews, as they seem extreme for a simple visit to a shipping/office store -- it seems more likely that those reviews may have been having an overall bad day, and that translated into a negative review. I also find the comments referring to "elders" and "elderly" owners offensive. What relevance does a person's age have to do with anything related to providing the services at a UPS Store? The man to whom they are referring is Dick, the owner, He has never been anything but polite and professional when doing business with me. My expectations are that I can easily pick up my mail by request -- since my box is at the top row and difficult to reach; easily ship off Amazon returns; take care of simple business-related tasks, etc. For this level of service, the staff has been attentive and friendly, and competent. As a small business owner myself, it is difficult to read the overly-passionate negative reviews, and I really wish Dick would solicit more positive reviews that I am more than certain he would get upon request. Customer service experience. I had to return a delivery which was made up of 2 identical shaped packages. All I needed to do since only one label had been provided was tape the boxes together, as per the instructions of the employee. I asked if I could use the tape that that same employee had just set on the counter and was flat out told no! So now I have to leave the store and head home and tape or pay $14 to have them do it. A multi-billion dollar company won't give the courtsey to allow a customer to use a piece of tape. I won't be going back to this location. read more

I have patronized this UPS branch for many years. Never once have I had a bad experience. The staff is helpful, congenial and amicable. They go out of their way to aid one's needs, and smile in the doing. If there have been times that I have had to wait, I was reminded by one of the team that they would be with me asap. Incompetent slow and rude service on Sunday I waited almost 30 minutes to get helped.

When getting orders or any packages ups delivered good luck just used fedex . They have bad service and you won't get refunds you just lose all the way around . I called and no help at all just it was delivered to some one else contact the seller . read more

The women who serviced me at the counter was hot she kept saying it was so hot and was distracting . She said the temperature was hot in the building. Then she didn't give me a receipt for my return and was giving me attitude about looking for it and had to re print. Wasn't happy with service time is and also amazon mistakenly had me charged for label. read more

The UPS Store - Front area - Shipping Centers Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Until today, I've always had good experiences here. Taking back a return, I was told that the box the items were in needed another box around it. That sounded a little odd, as the return was going back to a company who specifically stated this was NOT the case and that the UPS store would do all labeling and packaging as per their contractual agreement. I pushed back, but they only offered me to buy a box at an inflated cost to get the item off my hands. In contacting the merchant after this exchange, they confirmed the UPS store handled this wrong and was likely doing it to boost their bottom line by forcing a customer to purchase product that they didn't need. To me, that's absolutely terrible behavior and people using this particular UPS location should know how they're doing business. It's paramount to fraud. Buyer beware. read more

Went in today around lunch. They were quick, friendly and helpful. I cannot ask much more than that from a store!

Just avoid this store. Every time I've been in here I've been met with bad attitude and had really negative experiences. The store charges for everything-and instead of allowing you to use your own packing materials-cons you into using theirs. They tell you you are not allowed to use your own box--and when you ask about it-they use the 'we don't recommend' phrase. It's not 'recommended' does not mean 'we do not allow....' They of course make money on selling the packaging--and of course after you pack it and think they are just being nice and helpful--they turn around and charge you for it. Last time I was in here the older man with white hair was a pretentious jerk about packing tape-and today had to deal with the bad attitude of a young man named Stephen-over my own box. Pro tip: if you don't enjoy working in customer service--please don't. None of your customers needs bad attitudes-or to be nickeled and dimed over tape and a plastic envelope. Go elsewhere and avoid the pretty consistent crap attitudes at this place. Avoid this UPS. was told late afternoon that I had package ready for pick up. I called back to ask what it was and that I would not make it there by 6:30 pm. She told me no problem. I went to pick up the following morning and was curtly told it would be $10.00 for one small package stored. There were no other customers in the store yet I was treated with a mean tone when I questioned the $10.00 fee. Nick spoke with an awful tone and was unwilling to adequately explain the $10.00. I ship an obnoxious amount of bulky items for my Amazon store and every time I came in they greeted me with a smile. I do everything I can to make their jobs easier and they did the same for me. I started shipping one or two packages at this little location and now my order book would fill up the store. OMG. This is the worst UPS store I've ever been in. Since when do I need to ask multiple times for a receipt to track my package?! I swear everyone there just needs to retire and call it quits because I wanted to pull my hair out. So I went to UPS because it was given a bunch of one star reviews so I had to see for myself. Unfortunately but fortunately the reviews did not live up to the hype...EXCEPT for the one about the guys behind the counter have good mustaches. James and Jose were both swell and greeted us when we walked in. Just dropped off 3 packages with labels for a receipt and that was it. Overall took about 2 minutes in and out. It looks like other people had a similar experience but holy s***....I very rarely complain about costumer service because I realize it can be stressful and everyone has their days. However, I have never felt so unwelcome in a store before. The lady working acted like it was such an inconvenience to help me. Also all I was doing was dropping off a package which already had postage and everything so she literally just had to take it from me to be mailed. Where do I even begin? I've visited this location many times to give them the benefit of the doubt. I honestly dread going to this location, but at the time it was the nearest one to me. Every time I visited this location, the workers seem to hate their jobs. I requested a certain object which to my surprise, the workers reacted with such annoyance. I kept my composure, I was very polite, yet still received the worst customer service. When asked for a specific object (I've purchased the same object multiple times in the past at this very location) I was handed the owners business card. They were uninterested in helping me find what I needed. A couple weeks later I returned to this store asked again for this object and shockingly enough, the BUSINESS OWNER was very rude. I just shipped a large item and ship large items often. I watched the person helping me take the package measurements. Each measurement was over so I asked if that "over measuring" turned the package into an oversized item (increasing the costs). My point was I would take the package to another place and see if they also added to the box measurement. One inch could change the cost significantly when it comes to determining oversized packages. The man turned in an abrupt manner and said "it doesn't matter". I was in no way confrontational and it is my right to shop a $200-300 shipment if I care to do so. They did change the measurements one inch on each side and it remained an oversized package so I shipped with them. I would still use this UPS to ship but it will no longer be by first choice. I have no problem with your business policies but it is my right to inquire and determine if using your service is best for me, the customer. read more

Wanted to express my disappointed for the UPS Store on Broadway in the Stewart Center. I was promised that a very important package (my mom's clothes for her Dad's Funeral) would be in England on Monday, I paid $464.28 in order to make this happen. It wasn't delivered and they won't do anything to help me. I was belittled by the owner and someone else in the store. Today they kept telling me it was there in England... and thats all they could guarantee. Yet when I was checking out last week they it was guaranteed to be delivered at my Uncle's house... not just in England in general. read more

I havel been using UPS for years in many places. In fact, I don't use USPS unless I don't have a choice. USPS and UPS now share/team up. I have been a customer for five years with greatest service that could be offered. Dedicated and experienced staff. Must have been an off day for those that have a bad experience. Now the 999 Basse store was a train wreck so I switch to 5150 Broadway for the mature and capable vice the young and relentless. read more
