AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This was a horrendous experience. I went on a Friday to send a fax; the owner, I presume, said they didn't have a fax machine. Um... No fax machine at at UPS Store? He said they were getting it set up later as this was a new location. He said they were the same store that was located near the CVS but have since moved. Well why didn't you bring the fax machine with you and get it set up when you moved a couple months ago? ?? He says go to Price Chopper next door to use the fax machine. Ok.... Can they send a certified letter I need sent? The guy rudely snaps back says that is is almost 6pm it won't be postmarked today. Ok I understand. However.... at this point I am getting really bad vibes and doubting the capability and trustworthiness of this store / manager.... so... I ask to confirm that it will be post marked tomorrow's date then? He's says, "I don't know, if it's sent out tomorrow it will." Yeah... I go, "Well... will you send it out tomorrow?" He goes, "I don't know, It will be sent out when I send it. . ." Seriously? He MAY or MAY NOT send out the letter tomorrow, the letter that I'm paying extra for certified delivery? Seriously? He can't confirm whether or not he will DO HIS JOB? This is why I am sure letters and packages get "lost" all the time. I said out loud that I should just go to the Post Office instead, which he out loud agrees would be better! Hey, at least he knows he has bad business! Went in today to return an Amazon package. DAVID was fine with me but the two customers before me were not as lucky. He was rude and condescending and it was difficult to watch without saying anything. The second customer said "David I think you need a vacation" trying to joke with him and that just made matters worse. I also noticed that everyone in the store had masks on (customers) but he did not! If you don't like dealing with people, why work in customer service. The guy who was manning the front desk this morning December 17, 2019 was on top of his game! Five people ahead of me with different size packages and concerns heading out for Christmas delivery. What impressed me most is that the guy had an extremely easy manner about him; very efficient and polite. People were coming in after me and lining up; and he'd say, "I'll be right with you folks". I had an Amazon item to return. He scanned the code, handed me a receipt and I was good to go. Start to finish; less than ten minutes. Awesome! Great location have been doing business with them for almost a year. What impresses me the most is the Managers ability to remember to people. When we first got our box I was only in the store about once per month to collect our mail and yet the manager welcomed me by name every time regardless of how long it had been since I had been in. I have worked with a number of UPS Stores in the past and the level of service provided by this branch is better than any other I have ever been in. Who ever is overseeing the UPS Stores in the region should be using this location as a model for how running a UPS store should be. read more

I have never been treated with such hostility and aggression as I was today. The man who was processing my shipments barked questions at me, scolded me for not things "right," and when I finally pushed back he yelled at me. Fortunately, another staffer took over, and he was as polite as his colleague was rude. Still, I will NEVER go in that store again. read more

I have used this store in the past for packages and I've never had any issues. The staff have always been professional and my packages have always been delivered when they say they are going to be. But that's not why am writing this review. I I had a few presentations and other projects that I needed copies for and had previously gone to three other stores that I knew in the Rutland area that provide copies BUT they were all expensive!!!! I went into the store (as a last resort) to see if they even did colored copies at a reasonable price. The staff were more than willing to help me and I waited there while the copies were done ( 5 mins). I didn't have to come back the next day or in a few hours to get them. Not only was it convenient, but it was the best price in town and the copies were pristine. The staff even made sure before they made all the copies that I was happy with way they came out. So last night I found out that my company is changing their logo and I needed to get new business cards. Now my company allows me to buy business cards through them or other means. I decided to go back to the Rutland UPS store to see if they could help me out and what their prices were. Not only did they redesigned a card for me but they were also cheaper and were able to put a finish on it to make it look more professional. So Today I have decided I am not going anywhere else besides this Rutland UPS store for all my business needs which includes shipping, printing and creating. Thank you for being awesome!!! read more

My wife and I shop online a lot. About 80-90% of our purchases come by way of the Rutland UPS delivery service. On the odd occasion that there's been a problem, we've called them and so far we've gotten 100% satisfaction. Keep up the great work. read more

I tried to ship internationally through this office and was extremely disappointed with the service I received. There was an employee learning who was very kind, but this extended the process to nearly an hour to send 2 international packages. At least one was returned to my home (still waiting on the other) for not having my full first name instead of initial. Also was informed by UPS that nail polish was allowed and the package says it's not too. When I went to ask for a refund as my package was refused/returned by USPS the staff was extremely rude and angry with me. His tone was harsh and he seemed frustrated with me. I asked politely for a refund so I'm not sure how he would respond to someone more aggressive than myself. I'll stick with USPS I guess. read more

Since there is no way to contact someone in the U.S. with your problems. Also no way to let a driver know that driving by the package destination. Pretending the address is wrong. Bringing it back to the depot is not good business. Seems like this is the best forum to let out frustration of lack of good customer service. Use to be a UPS driver was worried about not doing his job. Now he hides behind street addresses. I would have actually picked up the package if the driver didn't want to lift it. The dealership that sent it out assured the address. Sent it in two days as needed. The UPS driver decided it wasn't going to happen. Then the excuses started from a customer service clerk in Panama City, really. The same driver has been to the location time and time again. Where is the disconnect. He is constantly parked up the rode in a parking lot, hanging out. It may not be UPS that is wrong but this driver is not giving them a good reputation. read more

The general manager is rude and incompetent. The sales associate did a horrible job at packing my PC and copier, shipped to California and got damaged because of poor packing, did I mention that the manager is rude. There were no apologies and neither of them took responsibility for their lack of knowing how to properly pack my PC. The used bubble wrap for the cords but did not use any for the tower, makes no sense. They used a box that was too big for the PC and it was poorly packed. Awful, awful, awful. They claim to have the same prices as UPS but that is not true. They wanted to charge me $85 to ship a package. I took it to the actual UPS location and they charged me $50. Another time I asked for a piece of tape, maybe 4 inches long, and they said here was a fee, better to use the actual UPS center or Staples, which have better customer service. read more

This particular UPS store is a very convenient and friendly store. The young lady who helped us was very friendly and courteous and it was an overall good experience :) not only were we able to have our items wrapped up but we were also able to print out our boarding passes. Had two dozen baccarat glasses to ship to North Carolina. Went to the UPS Store in Rutland to get shipping supplies. First time I had been in a UPS store. A clerk, David Thorne, spent 20 minutes helping me work out a packing strategy and understanding what supplies I needed. Lots of questions. Good information: David had been trained and certified on packing in a special UPS program. Finally, we decided on just the right stuff. David gathered it-another 5 minutes and rang it up. Accepted unusual combination of cash and credit card payment. Processed it. A retiree on a tight budget, I then realized I needed to wait a week before I proceeded. Killer request, but Daniel cancelled the transaction and refunded my payments. Never flinched. Perfect customer service. Made me feel important and valuable. It would have been the most vicious mystery shopper test. Had it been, it would have gotten the top rating. I read more
