I was doing amazon return and my package which was unopened and follow return instructions and was told I needed to purchase a $2 bag.I told them that it was original package and no where did it say UPS cannot ship in a clear bag.The manager told me that it was policy in all stores and the ones that allowed this were not following protocol and gave me a UPS corporate number that does not exist.I feel this store is adding on extra cost and poorly managed.Last week or so printer went down and for days any mail or returns customers not getting reciepts read more

Thanks to Christopher! After dropping off a return to amazon, I realized a second QR code for one of the packages was needed. I was able to work the change with Christopher on the phone, and he was able to use the QR code via my email to him, sooooo I did not have to drive out again to give him the second QR code! Thanks to Christopher. (I have used the UPS store in Rowlett numerous times, but thought this extra service I got was worth a shout out to the great employees who work there.) read more

Cashier could not get my printed label to scan so he wanted to charge me to re-print the label despite having tracking number and label in hand. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Save yourself the heart ache and go to Fed Ex (we had to learn the hard and expensive way). Experienced terrible customer service after shipping a package 11/5 via Next Day Air (the most expensive & fastest option) that did not arrive timely. Also should you encounter any disruptions, local & corporate customer service will send you around in circles playing the blame game & giving you inaccurate information. On the date of the Kentucky cargo airplane explosion (an operational failure on UPS), all impacted next day air customers were offered no partial refunds or store credit and only given empty apologies they were sorry it happened. Zero accountability or remedies offered to high paying customers after an agreed upon service was not met due to a service interruption that was solely the fault of UPS (not the customers). Again do yourself a favor and go with other competitors who value return customers for their top shipping packages! 11/18 Edit in Response to UPS: As stated before, this was not weather, a natural disaster, or any external force majeure condition outside of UPS's control. A mechanical failure of a UPS-owned aircraft is, by definition, an operational issue, which is exactly what the Service Guarantee is designed to cover. The crash and subsequent grounding of other aircrafts were direct results of UPS's internal operational failure--not an external, uncontrollable event. Denying refunds under these circumstances misapplies your own policy. UPS cannot simply redefine an internal mechanical failure as an "emergency" to avoid honoring the Service Guarantee. Every delay has a cause, but the cause in this case was not external; it was rooted in UPS's own fleet and maintenance operations. Customers should not bear the financial consequences of such internal issues--especially when paying for your most expensive overnight service. Once again proceed with caution as UPS has proven they can modify terms at a whim to absolve themselves of liability in regards to your package. That is fraudulent, untrustworthy business practice and customers deserve to spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere. read more

Very unprofessional location. I had an issue with my shipment and asked for a refund since the package was not delivered on time. The manager of the store, Brad, refused to take any ownership for the mistake and was extremely rude, claiming "it is corporate" responsibility, we are just a franchising and hung up on my face. If this is really the manager of the store, you can expect to be treated like nothing by them. Find a decent place to take your business to. I will next time. read more

Clueless staff. I called and asked a very simple, fundamental question that any postal store around the world could answer. "What is your cutoff time for sending a package with next day delivery?" The gentleman started babbling on, saying they have no cut off time and their preliminary is around 10 AM and blah blah blah. Even the United States Postal Service does not have a 10 AM pick up time for next day. When I pushed back with some confusion at the earliness, he asked me to hold on so that he could check for what the real time was. After going through some packaging dimensions and getting a quote, he says that my package is still guaranteed to arrive next day if I brought it in today. Again, I pushed him on the time since it was nearing 3PM, to which he responded "ASAP." Again, dumbfounded that they don't have a cut off time, I asked if their drivers just show up whenever they want. He said yes. I made the mistake of mentioning that it was hard to believe that because in Los Angeles every UPS store you ever call has cut off times, and the driver comes at a standardized time each day. He said this isn't LA. Well, Rowlett might not be Los Angeles, but I have some commentary for the unhelpful person working at this UPS store. Rowlett is part of a major metropolis area. It's not the sticks, although you probably think it is compared to the "big city" called Dallas just 20 miles yonder. Less than 10 miles away are five UPS locations that all have cut off times, which they happily provide when you call them. I'll be using them. read more

Submitted an order to be printed for a meeting. Arrived at the store at the time designated on my receipt only to be told my order was canceled and they don't have the printing capability advertised. No notification of cancellation was sent to me at all. Had I known this, I would have ordered elsewhere. Now it's too late and I will not have the documents I needed. Highly irritated! read more

It must be management- every time I go here (and it's often) the employees are so indifferent- every one of them- they just all seem to hate their jobs. Today I returned amazon items, didn't have the label for one item for some reason and they charged me $3.00 to print it ;( at the same time someone else was being told a box for her 24" x 8" item would be TWELVE DOLLARS. I was very disappointed with the way the owner treated me and do not recommend going here. I came in cause I needed a paper notarized and shipped to my school. The first time I had it notarized they spelled my name wrong, so this was the second time having to get it notarized. When I got there I realized I left the sheet at home and asked if I could emailed it to them from my phone and was told yes. To notarize the paper, all they needed to do was sign the name on my drivers license and date it. I explained this was the second time paying to get it notarized and shipped, so there could be no mistakes. When it was time to pay they charged me $4.00 just for one sheet I emailed to them. I email stuff to office max, kinko, and fed-ex often and they have never charged, because I am using their services. When it was time to pay the shipping fee, I realized I left the other sheet, but to email it was another $4.00. I payed for the notary and $4 email left. Because of time constraints, I shipped the package by Fed-ex which was closer to my house in Rockwall, TX. Well!, I got a rejection letter from the school telling me it had to be redone a third time because the notary only wrote a day on the form and not the year. The employee understood and wanted to make it right, but the owner was rude and genuine. He said basically he would redo the notary part but it was my problem to pay to have it reshipped. I explained that this would be my third time having to pay to ship it, for a mistake that they caused and but he basically said he did not care. read more

This UPS store has the worst customer service. The employees seem to be in a bad mood and terribly rude every time I visit. They're never welcoming! On the contrary, seem to be annoyed when a customer walks in. It's weird because UPS is one place I usually get great service from the friendliest and most welcoming employees except this store in Rowlett. read more

I had to take time to provide customer excellence to Kirk at the Rowlett location on Wednesday, 05/25/22 at 6:22p.m.. I was the last customer of the day. He was so patient with me and helped me to get a package prepared so that I could make a return to a vendor. He did not rush me, rather took his time to help me. If I could post negative stars I would. My daughter just had the absolute worst experience with customer service in her entire life at the Rowlett UPS store off of Lakeview Pkwy store. She was attempting to bring back Amazon returns, and the person behind the counter proceeded to rebuke her for not being organized enough. When she said that it wasn't hers but her mother's, and that she (me) had literally labeled each item and marked the number next to each code, that seemed pretty organized to her, he then proceeded to tell her she needed to go back where she came from. When she asked what exactly that was supposed to mean, he replied go back to wherever you're from and print off the paper. He refused to even attempt to scan a code on the phone, and proceeded to tell her he knew what he was doing and she didn't know what she was doing. That's only 2 of the rude and disrespectful things he said to her. When I called up and asked to speak to a manager, this same individual got on the phone, and when I expressed my complaint he said he knew who it was and he would talk to him. I said, wait a minute. Was it you? I could tell because he had the accent that my daughter mentioned. He said, yes it was me. I asked him if he was even the manager and he said no, I'm the assistant manager. I said I would like to speak to the actual manager then. He told me he wasn't there. I asked when he would be there. He kept saying he didn't know and there was nothing he could do and tried to get off the phone. When I said that I was going to keep calling until I spoke to the manager, he then proceeded to tell me he WAS the manager and the owner. So I said, "Oh, great. So you sit and lie to your customers on top of treating them with disrespect and meanness." He then went into something about how he wasn't rude, and I told him if he wasn't going to acknowledge that that was terrible customer service then I would keep calling until I spoke to a real manager. And if he really was the owner and manager, then I was going to spread this on social media. He said fine, do what you need to do. My daughter is a manager of a restaurant and has made it to that manager position in 9 months because she understands customer service. She treats everybody in that role with the utmost respect because she understands their jobs can be thankless. To be treated like she was a negligent child in return was WILDLY unacceptable, but all the lying and evading if he IS the owner and manager, is some of the worst business practices I've come across. read more

100% MARKUP ON POSTAGE: The cost they charge to print postage is way too high. I was there dropping off an AT&T box, which is free, and needed to send another package to CA. I asked to just send it the cheapest way possible. I was quoted $8.20. That seemed high so I questioned the price and was assured that it was the cheapest option. Once I agreed and paid, the cashier printed a postage stamp for $4.10 and put it on the envelope. That's a 100% markup just for printing the stamp. That's rediculous. This place may be fine for sending UPS packages, but avoid at all cost if you just need to send by mail. read more

Last week I brought in a 24x20 picture to have an estimate on having it packed and shipped for my mother's birthday. The clerk said it would be $40 something to pack and $30 something for shipping to the Cleveland, OH area. I elected to pack it myself at that price and he sold me a box 36x30x5. box for $12.00. While that seemed like an excess amount for a piece of cardboard and it was too big I thought it must be the next standard size that the picture would fit. I packed it over the weekend and when I brought it in today the cost had gone up to over $70 for the cheapest method. When I asked him why was it now doubled he said because the box was too big. The box that they sold me without mentioning that it would double the shipping price. Why can't you give negative stars. read more

Absolute WORST service and customer service EVER by rude owner - C.K. Patel. Shipped a pkg. with this store - not only did it arrive later then promised, additional taxes were due , and owner refused to do anything saying "You signed a paper - can't help you" . Being in the retail business, I understand how customer service makes or breaks a franchise - this owner is deplorable and simply doesn't care. He is fortunate enough to have a franchised business with UPS - learn to appreciate and respect your customers - they pay your salary. Saul was very helpful! He even came outside to help us get some bulky boxes out of the car and into the store. He explained the shipping options and helped us choose the best one. I really appreciate how friendly and helpful Saul was! And although we were taking up a lot of space, the other worker helped other customers in a timely fashion. Great customer service!
