When I think of UPS, I think almost exclusively of a long line of customers with Amazon returns. Back in the day, Kohls would offer $5 credits for returning your Amazon packages there. Loved that. Now however, I find UPS is the easiest place to drop off Amazon returns. All the residents of Wylie/ Murphy seem to feel the same way, as any time I enter this location this are at least 1-4 others likewise seeking to return things. There's occasionally some drama like the poor couple being told that their giant rectangular boxes of curtains will cost over $50 to ship back to Amazon and they need to call this number (extends paper to them) to see if they can get that fee waived by Amazon. I've had an increased volume of returns to make lately, and enjoyed making some small talk with others as I wait my turn in the line in this store. It really seems like 80% of the workload here is Amazon returns, but it could be just the windows of time I go in there. There are usually 1-2 people working, so depending how many returns and how many employees, it can take a bit to get through the line, but it's still ALWAYS faster than USPS to reach the front of the line by a landslide. I have no complaints. The employees are friendly, and it must be VERY repetitive scanning in all those barcodes. I work really hard to select "UPS" on the drop down on Amazon and still have accidentally pressed "Whole foods" on at least 10% of my returns. The employees here handle the mix up with patience, explaining to every customer how to cancel the return and select UPS over and over and over again (certainly not just to me!). No major complaints. Only minus one star because if you have to recreate one of your return labels you kind of can end up in a no man's land waiting as they move on to other customers and forget for a bit you had that last label ready. Clean, crisp interior and all my returns have gotten back to Amazon without issue! read more

I came in to send some packages out, I used their self service kiosk instead of waiting in line. The kiosk printed out receipts for my transactions. The ups store was clean and each area was clearly marked. The company I was sending the packages to had offered me prepaid labels so I wasn't able to check the value read more

Overheard one of the male cashiers being a little rude to another customer. The customer was an older lady that didn't seem to understand what she needed to do but she was not unpleasant at all. The female cashier that assisted me with my Amazon return was efficient. read more

Had a long rough day at work, needed to print some important documents and arrived right before closing time. The staff was amazingly kind and still helped me out. I couldn't believe the customer service and I greatly appreciate them taking the time to assist me. An easy 5 star experience! They also helped me out a few weeks ago with a notary public. Go to the Post office if you have an important document that needs to be mailed! I came here to send a certified letter on 11/29. I asked the guy at the counter where to put the label on my letter and he told me he said he didn't know about certified letters and motioned to the lady at the store but someone was dropping off a car full of packages and she was busy. He then placed the label on the top. I should have turned around and left with my letter and headed to the post office. He had me move over to a different register after attempting to pay because he said one register didn't take my particular credit card. I was charged $6.92 and handed him my letter. My letter has YET to arrive at the destination as of 12/6. I checked online tracking and it showed as being mailed from Coppell and shows it never went out until 12/1. I mailed it from Wylie. No idea what they did with my letter or if they even put the postage label that I paid for for a certified letter. The receipt should have shown the certified letter tracking and didn't. I realize now they charged me for a package; the receipt doesn't even say "certified letter" it says "first class package" but doesn't even show the tracking number on the receipt. Believe they may have mischarged me, and then didn't put the correct postage label on it and it's lost now. It was an important letter and I wasted my money. :( Save yourself a headache and your money and take it to the post office. read more

I recently moved to Wylie from Hawai'i, and needed someplace safe and convenient to get my mail & packages while my home is still being built... these guys are the best! From the first time I reached out to them to inquire about renting a mailbox, to when I got the key, Manish & his wife & their team have been nothing but professional! The store is clean and beautiful. They offer other services too, like shipping supplies, and UPS shipping, and even USPS shipping too! And every time a package comes in i get a text message letting me know. It's also super convenient that they have several parking stalls right out front marked for their store. I highly recommend! I had a box at this store for over a year. There is one nice guy that works there - a sweet younger guy who is always helpful, but he is the only one that really tries to be. I realized after paying for 6 months at a time for the 3rd time, that they continued to charge me the initial $25 set up fee + $2 key fee - my responsibility for not checking the original charge or remembering, but totally not ok on their part. When my box got close to renewal, every time I went in for like 2 weeks prior, one of them would yell across the store that it was almost time to renew my box. One time I was in to pick up mail & apparently it was due on the next day, & I said that I left my wallet in the car so asked if I could do it next time I was in. The guy said that if I didn't pay it on time they would cancel my box. I wanted to fax a document one time & was told the charge was almost $3, even though I pay for a box there. When I made the move to a different UPS store (which I didn't tell them I was doing), I asked if they could text me as they had been doing when I had a box in case some pieces showed up that still had their store as my address. The owner told me that no, they didn't have time to do that & anything that came for me would be refused/returned. Look, I get that they don't have to offer this service or the fax, etc., but it would go a long way in just the most basic customer service & I don't think it would be a cost burden for them - or just make up for overcharging me $83. Plus I was surprised to find that the UPS store I moved to is almost $30 less for a 6 month time period, & each person could not be nicer every time, & I also see that with other customers when I am in. All that on top of how difficult it is to get in & out of the location during the school year because of all the traffic around Wylie High School. So I did not have a good experience overall with this store - minus the one nice guy. read more

I brought in an outdoor umbrella that I did not have a box for but I wrapped both pieces up and was told by Amazon to go to the UPS store and they will box it and send it back to them. But they refused to box it of course I've had this problem with UPS stores before that their customer service sucks really bad. So I took it to FedEx and they never asked me anything they said oh yeah we can rat will box it and will send it back to Amazon for you no problem thank you! Apparently this store no longer follows the return policies of Amazon and other retailers. They refused the return of the customer ahead of me. They refused my Amazon return even though I had the scannable label and original boxes. Not sure what they did to the lady in line behind me, but thought she was gonna run over me in the parking lot, she left so mad. read more

This is an excellent UPS Store. Superb Customer Service!! Had a problem with a delivery shipped by an Ebay seller. The UPS tracking number the seller provided just stated "Wylie, Texas", no street address. The customer service 800 number and online chat for UPS were USELESS. Canned responses only. After several weeks of checking with neighbors and trying to track the package, I finally disputed the charges with both Ebay and Citibank. The Seller promptly provided the tracking number showing it had been delivered to Wylie. The problem is ... it had NOT been delivered to ME! Both dispute cases were closed saying I was responsible for payment since the Seller could prove the package was delivered. In desperation, I went into the newly opened Wylie UPS Store. The manager, Manish, was crazy busy but took the time to look into the matter. He got his customer service contact involved (which was an actual human) and discovered the tracking number provided was not for my package, it was for an Amazon package the seller had sent to a different person at a different address in Wylie. Yes, THAT package was delivered. But not mine. This information allowed me to appeal the dispute decision from my credit card company who verified with UPS that the tracking number was not associated with my package. The seller could not provide a tracking number to MY address so they approved my dispute of the charges. I never got my package (likely because it was never sent!) but the credit card company refunded the money to my card. --- NONE of this would have happened had it not been for the extra time and effort by the Wylie UPS Store. 3 Takeaways: 1. The Wylie UPS Store is AMAZING!! They are now my preferred shipper!!! 2. UPS Tracking information should include the FULL ADDRESS. Had it included the street, I would have know immediately that it was not my package. 3. If you need REAL customer service ... go IN to the store. Beautiful and clean facility, the management has done a wonderful job with the layout of the premises. One convenient feature of this specific location is the sliding automatic doors--this is extremely important to have as a UPS store as it is so easy to walk in carrying a lot of packages without having to set them down to open the doors. Every time I have visited this location I have been helped promptly and professionally and have experienced above exceptional service.
