Very helpful, friendly people working here! They carry all the items you could possibly use for packaging and shipping. A+ store!

I had some old toner cartridges and asked Google where I could recycle them, and Google AI said…read morethat The Postal Shoppe on N Alpine Rd has recycling for toner cartridges. I then verified the information on the website for The Postal Shoppe, and it said, "The friendly team at The Postal Shoppe are big fans of the environment and always try to do our part to "keep it green" by recycling whenever and whatever we can." Along with "We encourage the residents and business owners of Rockford, IL to also do their part by using The Postal Shoppe as their recycling center.", along with a listing if items they recycle to include toner cartridges. However, when I arrived at The Postal Shoppe, I found the team anything but friendly. At first, I was told no, they do not do any recycling. When I asked about the website, the staff told me it was "not our problem", and "we don't care", and "we are not responsible for the website". When I pressed them on the information posted on the website, they said it was probably the old owners. So, I asked when the owners changed. They said it was 5 years ago, but again they didn't care and are not responsible. This review is for the attitude of employees at The Postal Shoppe. Instead of "I'm sorry we no longer offer that service. I'll let the owner know to update the website"; it was "not our problem", and "we don't care". To the owners of The Postal Shoppe, if you no longer offer a service that listed on your website, then you should update it. Apparently, it's been at least 5 years since this service was offered. There are a couple counter associates that try to be friendly and helpful, but the owner seems so matter-of-fact, take it or leave it, cut and dry.

**I sent this email directly to the store email more than a week ago with zero follow up. I haven't…read morebeen able to locate the contact information or ANY information on the franchise owner. This location is absolutely useless. if you want to drop off an Amazon return using their kiosk, then it's perfect. Other than that, drive over to E. State. I went there a couple of days ago with exactly what I'd walked in with in March 28th at this location and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The employees at this location have no interest in doing their job. AT ALL. a complete waste of my time and energy. I will not go back there for any reason, as I would rather drive out of my way to do business at a store I know will be helpful if I need assistance.** I hope this email reaches the store manager and then also the franchise owner. I have been coming to your location for several years now for various needs and have always experienced helpful employees while there. On Saturday March 28, 2026, some time between 12 and 1pm. The employee whose counter I was called to was Aurora. I had multiple items I had carried into your store. Unfortunately, a medical condition is forcing me to leave a job behind and it's time to return all of the equipment. I was sent an email with instructions that I followed when I came into the store. From the moment I walked up to the counter I felt as though I was an inconvenience to Aurora. She saw me standing with my 10 year old daughter at the island counter with my pile of items, and when I walked up to her explaining what I needed she asked me if what I had placed on the counter was all of the items. I said no, and helped my daughter bring what was already inside to the counter, then asked her to go to the car and grab the last two things. The email from my company indicated that I should bring the items in and then show the QR codes attached to the email to the UPS employee in order to ensure I had each item to be packed. I did as instructed. Aurora became agitated when she scanned the code, telling me that it didn't tell her anything. Insisting that she couldn't help me and there wasn't anything she could do because the code didn't tell her anything. I explained to her that I was following the instructions in the email word for word, and if she wanted she could read them herself to see if I'd missed something. Her response was curt and rude as she said "No, I'm NOT reading your email." I said, " Okay, then what would the next step be?" She told me she didn't know because the codes did not tell her anything and she cannot help me, all the while continuing to treat me with rudeness and disrespect without reason. At this time I confronted her by asking if there is a reason she had been giving me a bad attitude from the moment I walked up to the counter? She responded no. She attempted to correct her behavior but failed. She scanned one of the QR codes again, again disrespectfully told me she can't do anything, see anything or help me and she doesn't know what I expect her to do. At this point I had had enough, she had a bad attitude, adopted a seriously disrespectful tone in an increased volume and all in front of my daughter. I chose to pack my equipment up as best I could. I let Aurora know that I did not appreciate the way she treated me the entire time I was at the counter, de as though I was an inconvenience in her day, being talked to so disrespectfully and being shown no regard or assistance in finding a solution to the issue at hand. I remained calm as my child was still present. We walked out with our things in our arms and put them back in our car. It was a complete waste of our time, a significant amount of time. And also of my energy. It took me days to get everything gathered and carried to my car due to my chronic illness and it flaring up due to the weather changes we've been experiencing. I had to take it out of my car again as we had a trip to my parents' planned for my daughter's spring break. It seems petty or small, but for someone who deals with chronic illness, this type of interaction snowballs my symptoms, not to mention the work it took me to finally get everything in my car. I came to a location I frequent expecting the same experience I usually have. But instead I was met with bad attitude, being made to feel like an inconvenience and poor customer service from the moment I walked in. I am not looking for anything in particular. I just wanted to be sure someone knew of her poor behavior in order to offer the opportunity for improvement.
