Had a package turned away multiple times from TMobile, the store refused to accept the package, stopped by twice, called multiple times, was told by UPS that the store refused to accept the package, stopped twice, the Asian gentleman & an Asian lady were both very dismissing, sounded like they didn't care about receiving packages that were originally directed to the customer's homes, maybe because they would receive any payment for their services, i will never use them nor will i recommend to anybody i know. The Asian male told me to my face that he wouldn't accept the package, as it was originally sent to me address, i was suckered by UPS to pay $ 20.00 to sign to some UPS B/S, claiming that i could have the package forwarded to the UPS store & that i could pick up the place @ the UPS Store, but it wasn't the case at all. UPS was as much of a disappointment as the UPS store, they kept sending me emails stating that the package was going to be delivered to the UPS store for the next 5 days, even after i spoke w/ a csr rep & advised that the package was already returned to the sender, they're perfect for each other. Will never use neither , look elsewhere if you're looking for a good customer service. I would've given them a 0 if i could. Looks like other people had the same experience i had. . read more

I went to the store in Rockaway New Jersey because I needed a notary for an important document that I needed to send to my attorney. I called ahead of time and they told me the notary was there until 5 PM I arrived at 4 PM. When I walked in there was a woman blocking my way I politely asked her if she was online and then this, I have no other way to describe the employee and he did not have a name badge on, skinny, short young man with dark hair yelled at me, you're next! I walked up to him and then he pointed at the scale for me to put my paper there I looked at him he refused to look me in the eye and I said I need this notarized, he then didn't say anything and then pointed at the other side of the desk for me to go over there like I was a dog. He said I need to see your drivers license, no please or any type of courtesy. I gave him my license he abruptly told me to change the county on my form which I did told me to sign it I did then he signed it notarized it told me to sign a document again being very rude I did so and then he said that's five dollars. I reminded him that I had to send it to the address on the document to my attorney. He told me it was $27 to have it overnighted I said it didn't need to be overnighted and he told me it was $13. He printed out another form pushed it in front of me and said sign again no please no courtesy. I signed it and asked is that my copy he again rudely said no. He pointed at the credit card machine I put my credit card in told me to authorize it again rudely and then handed me a receipt and mustered a rude thank you. And then yelled at the next person, there was only one person waiting that they were next. In the background was a overweight older man with a beige shirt on it looked like he was a supervisor. Both of these employees should either be thoroughly re-trained or terminated. I am a pretty big guy and I have a temper, I thankfully did not lose my temper. I cannot remember the last time I was so disrespected. I also didn't say anything because I didn't want him to be malicious and not send this document to my attorney. I will never use the store again, it was also very dark and dirty and disgusting. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. The response I received from the supervisor at the store proves why they have such a low rating on yelp and Google. If you read my posting I did not lose my temper I was having a great day until you're rude employee barked at me and he wasn't yelling because of a mask I have perfect hearing it's because he's miserable and rude and obviously so are you. Store manager Joseph Marrone is not nice to customers. Also his "managing" skills are lacking! He builds up lines by making people wait far behind the plexiglass window even if you are next in line with a face covering. He make you drop big return box down at the counter and makes you go back way behind the plexiglass, then when he is ready to see your label he will have you keep doing this dance of back and fourth until the transaction is complete. It's pointless system he has in place. This guy is older and should be retired and not working a job he clearly doesn't enjoy. Just look at most of the reviews...mostly 1 star...the proof is there! In reply to your post, I don't think standing behind the plexiglass isn't safe. I was asked to stand about 6 feet away from the plexiglass and I had a face covering. I was told to put my big heavy box down then go back to stand way behind the plexiglass (six feet) then show my label code while going back and forth six feet. That's a stupid dance to make a person make, when there is a plexiglass, and I'm wearing a face-cover and this should be a quick transaction. Every where else you go like a grocery store for example doesn't make you go back and forth six feet like that! read more

I've used this particular UPS store several times in the last two years and have never had a problem. They get busy sometimes, but I've never observed rudeness from the staff. My Amazon returns are processed quickly and professionally. If I've seen disrespect, it usually comes from customers who don't have the information they need, can't find their money, or are just plain condescending. read more

These are not nice people. I had a return to Amazon. There was no other customers in the place. I was directed to the scale placed my item there and provided the Amazon bar code. The package was in the original factory box. I was told this was an oversized item, really it wasent very large. I either needed to pay for boxing or box it myself in the original box from Amazon. I didnt have acess to the original box, every other time I brought an Amazon return, I was told no boxing was necessary. I went back to my condo. and couldnt find the original box. I then contacted Amazon again and was able to drop it off, as is, at Kohl's for the return. I remember another time I was sending an item back to Amazon at this same store. This same guy was telling another customer that the item they were dropping off also needed a better box and couldnt be shipped as is. Also, this store is not open on Sunday, so I wasted two trips there for this simple drop off. I will not be using them again. read more

Unfortunately, I agree with many of the other reviewers about the staff at this location based on my experience this week. I had an I-9 verification appointment, something I've never had to complete in person at a random "partnered" business before - all my previous employers executed them directly. I arrived on time with proper documentation (and extra just in case). There were several people in front of me. I was finally called up by a young man, who when I told him what I was there for, he just kind of waived to the general area of the back of the store and mumbled "wait over there, I'll be with you in a minute." The interaction couldn't have felt more like I was bothering him by being there. No eye contact, and a "what do you want" attitude. It was a fairly quick process so I will give them two stars, but the staff member I interacted with had no social skills. Won't return unless I have to and would pick a different location next time if I need this service again. It's a shame since this location is really close to my home. read more

Absolutely ridiculous!!! Every time I go there they try to charge me for something! First time I went there it was a return and my box wasn't taped so they tried to charge me for tape. I just went today returning Amazon. If you know how Amazon works you can walk into Kohls or Wholefoods just with the items and they box it up for you. I am not certain they understand the meaning of 'customer service' - I dread going to this location. They are NEVER friendly-but due to COVID they are sometimes the only game in town. I went in to get a document notarized and the first time I had to wait while they inventoried a pile of boxes that were delivered by a UPS truck. Hello?! I use different UPS stores every week when I travel for work to print documents. I appreciate that they're individually and usually locally owned. This is the worst experience I have had at any location. The manager has poor customer service. Not only was he rude to me but he was telling other customers he was too busy to assist them. This is the nearest UPS to me but I rather travel over 50 miles to a different location than coming here again. I've been here numerous times and the people here are so unfriendly, lazy and simply just does not want to help you. I dropped off a package and it was only half taped and the owner tried to make me pay $1 to tape the other half. I also had post office packages I need to send back and he said I would need to pay $1 for each post office package. First of all, I've been to multiple UPS locations (Boonton, lake Hiawatha etc) and they have easily taped a package for me without asking for $. I understand if I had maybe multiple packages and you wanted to charge me but it was a small package that needed small tape. Also you are allowed to leave post office packages with UPS because at the end of the day, the mailman stops by to pick them up. The owner is always trying to find little ways to get pocket money so he demands that you pay a small fee. Once he told me that, I rolled my eyes and left. I've been to the one in Boonton and Lake Hiawatha and they eagerly take my post office packages with no hassle. I walked in tonight to drop off a few packages. The owner doesn't even greet. As I dropped off my packages, the UPS driver who was there basically greeted me and asked me how I was doing then told me to have a nice day as I left. Mind you -- the DRIVER who came in from a long day of driving and to pick up more packages from this location is the one who greeted me as the rude owner literally stands there just not even noticing me. If you need assistance or some help with packages, this should be the last place you should be. I only come here to drop off my packages and that's even brutal for me. Each UPS location I go to now even knows about the reputation this store has. I'm surprised by the comments about service and attitude of the staff. I had a difficult mailing - two heavy stereo speakers (quite valuable) and no way to ship for repair. I walked in kind of helpless and immediately they made me feel confident that this was the best place to get the things sent in to the manufacturer. After that, I had to ship an Amazon return back and the owner asked me how the speakers turned out - that was only my second visit. I though that was cool. I have been back several times to give them spare packing material I have from holiday packages and they always say thanks and smile. I usually bring out the worst in people so when I find a place that makes me feel welcome, I go back. Recommended (and confused by the other ratings). read more

They clearly don't want to be there and the lack of customer service reflects that. Have had the displeasure of coming into this location several times and experienced the same bad attitude each time. Our brand-new Dyson quit working... Dyson directed us to go to any UPS store and give them the vacuum and a repair order # and UPS would ship it to the repair center at Dyson's expense. The repair # didn't work... annoying. The store manager said "i got this" and proceed to get Dyson on the phone. My vacuum shipped out quickly and with a smile! Great store, great management! What makes this UPS store unique is that they offer fingerprinting (electronic not ink/paper) services by appointment. For those of you that need fingerprints that are necessary for licensing or work, it's one of the few locations that offer it. They are quick and friendly as well. read more

Recently sold my old laptop on Mercari and needed to pack safely. I was nervous because if it broke during shipping I wouldn't get paid and would miss out on some extra cash. I brought it to the UPS store -duh they can pack it for you! - for a fee but totally worth it. A big guy with glasses helped me; super friendly. If I could give them a minus rating I would. The staff is unbelievably rude. I came in to pick up a package and I have a problem standing for any length of time. The manager took the man in back of me before helping me. When confronted he got even nastier. I called UPS and cancelled my account, I switched to fedex for my business. If this is their idea of service I do not want my clients dealing with them under any conditions. I also called the vendor who sent my package, asked them to refund the shipping cost (which they did) and asked them for any future dealings I would give them my own fedex sheets. I have not been treated so rudely in a business in 20 years. I went in to question a missing package and was instantly told I was lying, making up stories, that there was nothing they could do to help me I must have done something wrong. The owner did not even listen to what the problem was. I'm a reasonable person - I went in with the expectation that we would talk about it and figure out what went wrong. No way that was going to happen with this man. I agree with the "mean miserable man" comment - I was shaking when I left and instantly called UPS store corporate to file a complaint.
