The last couple of years, packages are back on…read morethe front step.... every time I have a package coming from FedEx, I have to contact them with the tracking number, so they can get ahead of it and tell the driver to please leave it at the side door. I've got about 16 case numbers and nothing gets done about anything. This morning two very heavy boxes were left on the front steps that I could not get inside. I had to call a friend who came by during their lunch hour to bring them to my side door so that I could get them inside. I don't understand what's going on with FedEx. Unless I contact them each time I have a delivery coming, the packages get left at the front. They even told me to set it up in my Delivery which I've done already years ago, and somebody at FedEx, who I spoke to through Twitter noted my account that all packages should always be delivered to the side door because of my disability. The drivers just don't care about their customers or maybe FedEx really isn't doing anything about it and just giving me case number of the case number. It doesn't get done... and each time I bring it to their attention they say someone's going to call, then they give me a case number and nobody calls and nothing gets done. Very disappointed in FedEx. UPS always brings everything to the side door after asking them one time. Going forward, I will not be sending packages via FedEx, I have no control of what comes in when I order online, but I will no longer be using or supporting FedEx to ship. I will be using UPS. It's a repeating problem with FedEx that never gets fixed, just empty promises, more case numbers, no phone calls, and no resolution. what a disappointment the Bohemia office is. tired of the lip service. they don't GAF.

I ship a lot through eBay using this post office but the last order I had was somehow lost. I dropped it off in person and was given tracking information and it never left the location. This cost me a fair amount of money, and affected my eBay storefront. I will be using a different office as now I can't depend on my package being safely shipped out. I kindly asked the miserable employee with a puss on his face if he could put some tape on the bottom of my package to secure it and he replied "we are a no tape office " .....ummm what the f$@k??? He proceeds to tell me I can purchase packaging tape but he just sold the last one . Again WTF??!!!! He then rolls his eyes at me walks away and comes back with a big roll of packaging tape and secures my package. Now was that so hard? Why he had to make a production out of it was beyond me. I have been going to this Post Office for years and have come in contact with some nice and not so nice employees but he was the worst. Also, I have NEVER had an issue with a simple little thing called TAPE at a post office. And whatever happened to "how can I help you" when greeting a customer and when you are done with your transaction how about "have a nice day" . Apparently those words don't exist in miserable employee #20 vocabulary. I will not return to this Post Office again . Why go somewhere when you KNOW you are going to get treated like crap. It's a shame because the building itself it quite charming and one of the older Post Office buildings that you really don't see around here anymore.

Over the years, the family had a travel agency (remember those?) to the left when you first walked in. I used the agency to book a vacation in the 90s for us. Once in a while I'll see my neighbors in line, I'll stop and exchange pleasantries. There is a young man behind the counter, he's always smiling and makes everyone feel welcome. This location is an authorized FedEx, UPS and DHL dealer. They have the shipping portion covered, let's talk about Island Packaging! If you need to ship something and don't have the proper packing materials, Island Packaging & Shipping has all the supplies needed to get your items to your chosen destination. Consider Island Packaging & Shipping during the holiday season. I hate going to the post office, I'd much rather come here with my hot coffee, see my neighbors and bootskoot.

I didn't choose this place, I was sending a purchase to a customer who chose this method of shipping. If you can use USPS to ship, you should. Carriers try to cram mail that is really a package into your box so you risk breaking your mailbox in an effort to try to remove it, Also, I live in a large condo community and routinely get other people's mail in my box--sometimes the mail is for someone that lives in the same zip code, but not in our community! Most recently the carrier was parked in the middle of the driveway that I must pass through in order to get to my unit. She was talking to a resident who was also parked alongside--there was no way to go around either of them. I actually had an important conference call that I needed to join and It took them several minutes to finish their conversation and get out of the way. When I honked my horn, the postal carrier glared at me! Unprofessionalism, lack of quality, lack of consideration and half-assed service. It's the wave of the future! Oh wait, it's already here thanks to government agencies like the post office.
