I brought in two Amazon packages for return. The young man behind the counter barely raised his voice above a whisper to speak to me and the woman ahead of me to let us know he could take us. (Meanwhile, he probably shouts everything he says at the top of his lungs at home and out with his friends.) He moved so lethargically when boxing up something that he knocked a very large tape dispenser off the counter. When it crashed to the floor, I walked over, bent down and picked it up for him. He took it from me expressionlessly without saying thank you. I'm adding a second star because when he almost made a mistake with my first package, the manager intervened and smoothed things out. (It's only natural - we're all new at a job at some point.) I must have made a mistake when I initiated my returns on Amazon, because my second package had been designated to be returned at Whole Foods. I asked the young man if there was anything I could do to change it, and also asked if he knew if there was a Whole Foods anywhere near us. It was abundantly clear he was not going to burn any extra calorie to help me unless he were held up at gunpoint. These exchanges with people are so damn depressing. Nobody cares anymore. I went there today to print two pages. Two employees were on their phones texting when I walked in. Neither one of them looked up at me or the other customer there. When I went to the counter to ask a question, the employee was genuinely irritated that he had to stop texting to help me. He was rude and made no effort effort to hide his attitude. He acted like a total drip. The printer I tried to use was offline. I could not get it to work. So, I told the employee that there was an issue. With an annoyed look and major frown on his face, he walked over, pushed a couple buttons and the machine went online. When I tried to print, however, the machine suddenly locked up, said "Out of Paper" and refused to print. I went over and told the employee what it said. Again, major attitude. He came over and opened the paper drawers. Despite the "out of paper" message on the machine, it had paper. Sarcastically, he mumbled, "See, it has paper!" He was incredibly disrespectful. When he went back to the register, he said to another employee (who was sitting on a chair nearby sending text messages), "He said it was out of paper but it has paper!" No, the machine said it was out of paper, not me, even though it had it. So, I gave it another try. After hitting the "print" button, the machine went into offline mode and again said, "Out of Paper." Instead of letting the miserable employee know that it happened again, I just walked out. It was a miserable experience. I will never, ever step foot in this store again. The couple of reviews on here that claim the employees are "pleasant" are laughable; I am guessing that they've been planted by either the manager or the owner. And the owner's nasty response to a reviewer here who reported that the store was closed when it should have been open says it all. AVOID THIS DUMP at all costs and take your money elsewhere. read more

I can only comment for their notary services. The guy is a joke. I was told they notarized till 1pm. I was there 12.40 with 20 mins for them to notarize. The guy looks at the 9 pages that needs notarization and starts trying to find a reason not to do it. One excuse after the other, starts with there is no space .. I tell him do it on the side, then he keeps on shuffling through them pulling faces. Then he sees the word 'will' mentioned in the text of the document and says he can't notarize anything to do with wills. It was not a will or anything closely resembling a will. The guy is the laziest notary I have ever met in my entire life. If you must go there to get documents notarized go one hour before whatever time they give you to stand a chance of the lazy notary wanting to deal with you. I was returning it unopened, so I thought they could just send back the box I handed them, but one of the three sullen employees stated, "That's not how it's done." Another employee opened the package with a box cutter, slicing through the gift wrap. Whether he damaged the item inside, I don't know. I'm came into this UPS Store to get a passport photo. I was in a bit of a rush and saw there were three people on line. I contemplated leaving and trying a cvs instead. Well needless to say, I decided to wait it out and I'm so glad I did. I met the sweetest young lady, Antaya. She made sure I was satisfied with my picture before printing and I know I was such a pain in the neck. She smiled the whole time and was so patient. Her service was prompt, she was professional and was clearly a great multitasker because people were walking in and out the whole time and she never flinched. Not only was she rude, she was condescending and unhelpful. When I tried to explain again what had occurred , she hung up. I called back again and a gentleman named Hugo mentioned that to have a peace of mind I need to go in and check myself. Review is for PRINT JOBS. UPS.com allows customers to submit print jobs online, then pick them up at a local UPS store. It's a very streamlined process -- you upload your documents, choose the type of print job (reports, posters, manuals, etc.), paper size, binding options, one/two-sided paper, lamination, etc. You pre-pay, then UPS sends you an email to let you know when it's ready for pick up. GREAT in theory. I submitted 7 "report" print jobs on Tuesday evening. Specified that they were to be comb-bound, and got emails saying that they were ready for pick up at 9:30AM Wednesday morning. When I showed up at 12:30 PM Wednesday, the staff gave me a stack of a few hundred sheets of paper. Even though I paid for binding, nothing was bound, stapled, binder-clipped, etc. One job was not even printed out. The guy behind the counter couldn't explain, apologize, anything -- he just said, "I didn't do it, the guy last night did." When I asked for a refund for the binding cost, he said that he couldn't, only his manager could. She was out on lunch, could I come back later? Uh, no, I don't have time later today to come back. I waited 10 minutes for the manager to come back, and as soon as she returned and heard the explanation from the guy, she gave me attitude -- she didn't do it, it's not her fault, and I should be thankful that she is helping me on her lunch break. Ok. Fine. But no one was assigning fault there. I want a refund for the binding, and the print job that didn't get printed. It took about a half hour for her to call HER boss, and for that guy to walk the "manager" through the computer to give me a refund. When I asked for binder clips or envelopes to separate the 6 stacks of paper in my bag, she said that she would have to charge for it. It's a poor way to run a business, and a quick way to make sure they stay away. Don't go here. The owner obviously doesn't train or empower his employees to do their jobs, and it shows. But if you're human, and don't like being ignored, spoken to rudely or indifferently, or having to wait till an employee finishes reading their texts before assisting you, probably won't be so happy. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS STORE. I had a $400 package sent from Minnesota to this location near my apartment in NYC. I called from my UPS Store in Minnesota and confirmed this could be done. The man I spoke with said it was $18 per 24 hour period to hold the package. They called me yesterday at 3 pm to say it had just arrived and that it was $18 per day. I called them at 6 pm to confirm it was $18 per 24 hour period and the man said "yes". I am on my way now to get it-it is 1 pm, 2 hours before 24 hours in their possession and the manager I just spoke with said she is charging for 2 days-$36 for less than 24 hours. I told her that was different from what 3 previous people told me, and without any apology she quipped "do you want me to send it right back?" She is claiming that is NOT what the other people said-how would she know unless she wiretaps all calls? Are you kidding me? Absolutely the opposite of customer service. Beware: if you use this place they may switch the price on you when you have no option other than paying. Otherwise they'll hold you're package hostage or return it. I used to hate coming home from work to find a note on my door saying I missed a delivery, and I used to hate dealing with the warehouses where missed deliveries are picked up, so I got a mailbox at this UPS store. They hold a few packages per week for me to pick up. It's great to have this service, since I don't have a doorman. The staff are very helpful and usually will recognize me when I come in. On occasion, I've needed to ship items, and it was all done without any hassle. Sometimes, I've delayed picking up a package for a long time, and even still, my package is always waiting for me (never returned to sender), and there aren't any additional fees. The mailbox rates here are much lower than other mailboxes in my neighborhood, and their hours are sufficiently long that I have time to go there before or after work when it's convenient. read more

I've used this store several times as a ups access point for package deliveries without previous problems. A package was delivered at the store for me on 6/10, the day my husband's mother died. We left town immediately, and returned last night. I came to the store today to retrieve the package. The package was there three days past the maximum, and they charged me $18 for "storage," even after I showed them the obituary for my mother-in-law from the Boston papers in which I'm listed as kin. Airlines make allowances for deaths in the family. I really can't believe that the manager of this UPS store was so heartless on this issue. Just bad form. read more
