Thee workers here including the store manager are rude and lazy. I went in to have a package shipped back to its original destination and the store manager started bad mouthing Amazon workers when no opinion was ask and they were not the issue. He never once offered to assist in printing out a label or giving the option to purchase an envelope to be able to return my items. He just chose to keep carrying his dog and NOT work. I had no problem paying/purchasing an envelope and the label. Today I returned with my items, packaged, sealed and with the return label attached. The girl at the counter refused to accept my package because the printing was not to her liking. I asked if she would be able to input manually and she RUDELY refused. She refused to assist when that is her job. If her and that manager don't like their job, please do someone out there who truly needs a job, a huge favor and quit. They're the epitome of LAZY ASS ENTITLED WORKERS!!! From now, I rather waste a little extra gas and head over to the Rosemead store. read more

Last week I purchased a rug at auction. I had an old dog, who was slipping all over the floor. I found a beautiful old tribal rug that I could put in my Yurt to help her. After receiving several estimates, I selected this UPS Store to ship the rug to a rural location in Oregon. Their estimate was not the lowest estimate, and it included packaging material costs. I selected them because I felt they would pack it better than the other people I spoke with. And they agreed to ship my package out quickly. They packed and shipped the rug in 2 days. The rug arrived in less than a week. The packing job was excellent. The price was less than their estimate. Thanks to the help of this UPS Store, my old much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend Byron Chan. I will use his store to ship things for me in the future. read more

Today 09/18/23 at 5:20ish the manager in store did not like the fact I had a large item with me since the moment he saw me unloading it from my car he said the way I was carrying it would not work to the time I was at the from with another member checking in my item. He said my item was not packaged right in the wrist attitude I've ever gotten at any UPS store. All he could have said is I had to make sure everything was packed correctly and did not had to say all the other stuff he said in such an ugly attitude. I went in recently to drop off a package and the girl that helped me seemed like she didn't want to be there. No "hello" or "thank you", just " put your package down". There was no one else in the store so it wasn't like she was overwhelmed with customers ! This store use to have good customer service. Sad! read more

This UPS sucks. Im shipping a pair of boots someone purchased from me. All I needed was a box, someone to tape it closed and to put on a shipping label on it that I already had printed. The girl who I initially talked to wore glasses and had a long curly ponytail. She was not helpful at all. Before I even had a chance to say all I want is a box and for it to be taped she saw that the shipping label I had was for the post office and said "we can't ship that"... okay I know that and that's not why I'm here. So I asked to buy a box and she said what size I'm like... you can clearly see I'm trying to ship a pair of boots, so get me a box that fits them? So she literally hands me a box, doesn't offer to tape it, nothing. Then I ask for tape and she says there's a charge to tape it. Horrible customer service, she was just not helpful in any way. so I tell her I'm just going to go to the post office. I'm leaving and I decide to go back in and just pay to have it taped. When I go back in the girl who was helping me was with another customer. So I get helped by a woman who was way nicer, and literally just taped the box and put on the shipping label. It took less than a minute and she didn't charge me. read more

This location is horrible. Should be shut down for violations. It's like a death trap. The owner violates all of Amazon protocols and overcharges the community. They tact on arbitrary fees to make you purchase their packaging material. An employee named Ruben is extremely rude and has zero customer skills - it's as if he is running as a bad AI. I have been using this UPS store for many years and cannot believe the poor reviews. We have never had any issue with either the staff or the service. They have always been attentive and helpful. If they could not assist me right away they always said "be right with you". It is possible the problem is with the customer. Some people do not realize that a business can be overwhelmed with customers and sometimes you have to wait to be served. It does a business no good to deliberately piss off customers. Came here for notary. He was so rude. I had my elderly father with me (who is hard of hearing). I explained that to the Notary and he refused to look up from the book to help my father hear him. He also kept pullin the paper out of my dad's hands instead of asking my dad to let him have it. My dad repeated "pardon" several times and still to no avail. The notary also acted like we notarized things all the time and should know how it goes. If you need a notary, please don't come here. Rude!!! read more

Forgot to update on my drama: The hubby received a phone all from the manager, stating we didn't pay our bill and due to my negative review were not going to have our contract renewed. We paid every 3 months and always had a notice placed in the PO box. Well this time there was no reminder. Anyhoo, I went to pick up my last package and to turn in the key. I sat in my car immediately after to write this. While some people's experience might have been different, I just had an efficient and swift one. I beat the after-work traffic but the line quickly elongated behind me. At that moment another gentleman quickly came out and tended to me and got me out of there in like :25 seconds. I like coming to this location for convenience but I have to commend their employee Myra for her amazing customer service. I have had various interactions with her and she always goes above & beyond. Today, I brought an Amazon return that was supposed to be "customer packed" which I obviously didn't realize until I was at the counter. Usually a great experience but not the case this morning! Arrived at 9:30am or so, the attendant had only one person who was loading up the counter with their boxes. I had 4 letters to send out and a prepaid return and the gentleman with the boxes let me go in front of him. At the counter, this lady had the most sour face as she attended EVERYONE. But that's not all... under her breath she muttered everything from, "urghh," "great.." "shit," "you've got to be kidding me," on top of that the Delivery guy came around the counter to have her sign and he mentions, "Looks like you're busy," to which she snarls, "unfortunately yes." She wasn't directly angry at me but I'm not in the business of staying quiet as EVERYONE around me is disrespected just because this lady is having a bad morning. Up until now, I have never left a Yelp review because I'm just not "wow'ed" enough to bother. With that said, I am so, so grateful for the team at this UPS store. I was having issues with an item I wanted to return from the Disney store but I wasn't sure what to do because the instructions in the box weren't totally clear- it just said that the return goes back to the UPS store and nothing else. In the midst of the pandemic and living with someone who is high-risk, I really wanted to limit my time in public and around strangers so I called to clarify what I needed to do before coming in. Byron was the person I spoke to and he happily explained my issue (the label that was inside my box actually has a small sticker that acts as the shipping label from Disney and that it's easy to miss) and continued to answer my questions about how to package my return. He went on to offer to help me directly if I brought everything into his store so I did and found myself in and out within 15 minutes of arriving. I need to also mention how seriously everyone took wearing masks here which really gave me the peace of mind to be in line with at least 7 other people. I wish I didn't have to pay for the return but I guess that's more of an issue with Disney and getting used to how Amazon works. I won a beautiful & delicate trophy at the Carol Channing auction in Los Angeles. I have to confess, this was the 1st time I'd done this and as a frequent EBAY buyer, I didn't take shipping into consideration. Turned out I would either have to drive from Palm Springs to L.A. to pick it up or find someone local in L.A. to pick it up and ship it to me. That's where Byron and the UPS Store came into the story. As it turns out, Byron handles this type of situation quite often and went to the auction house and picked up my trophy and carefully packed it up (so incredibly well double boxed) and insured it and had it delivered to me in Palm Springs. At every step of the way Byron communicated with me with regards to cost and options. I unpacked my Carol Channing trophy today and it is proudly and lovingly displayed in a beautiful lighted space in my home. Byron and the UPS Store took a situation which was becoming a headache to me and turned it into a completely pleasurable experience. This location offers the worst service. I paid for the packaging of an item. It was approximately $18 for the service...after about 20 minutes passed, I asked if my package was ready and I was informed that they are working on it. I waited at about 45 minutes passed and inquired again and I was informed that the box had to be sized for the item. After an hour had past, I asked for my item and my refund, I was told thay it was almost done and they refused to give me my item. I waited a total of one hour and 15 minutes for my order to be processed. Please if you don't have the resources and or motivation to successfully offer and deliver this service...please take it down as an option! Within the time it took for your staff to process my order, I would have acquired a box and shipped it myself. read more

Woah, I've had 3 recent experiences with this store in the last couple of weeks and all of them have been great! Each time I had to ship a couple of boxes out. One time the label I had printed out didn't print out right so the girl there explained to me she could enter it manually at the store, but they won't be able to scan it. So she told me I can print out another one there at the store. She even helped me print the page out cause I was having trouble. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. They even taped up a box for me correctly and put the labels on for me. Will definitely be going there when I need to ship stuff out from now on. read more

I have visited this location multiple times because it is closest to my house, but I will not be returning again. I have witnessed on multiple occasions, the employees practice poor customer service skills and be blatantly rude to their customers. The first time I visited and I noticed that they were rude to multiple customers that were seen before me. Today when I visited the store I was able to experience the lack of sufficient customer service skills personally. Employees appeared to prioritize talking to each other and rolling their eyes in between helping paying customers. The Notary and Owner Byron Chan could not have been any less help or rude. He seemed to be in a very foul mood, and answered questions in an almost aggressive and accusatory manner. We have been going to this store for years . Usually for scan and email of documents, sometimes to pick up packages . There is a Latin man who works there who is ALWAYS polite and helpful . This morning, we call at 945 am to ask if they were doing notary services. The man that answered said he was the notary, and when were we coming because he was tired of people say they were and then not coming. He was rude from the first word. This man it turns out is of Asian descent. When we arrived, he never turned around to say hello , or Ill be right with you or anything. When he finally came to the counter, he looked at our documents and told us that there were issues. He was not wearing his face mask properly,his nose was not covered. I could smell his bad breath even through my mask. I hope this doesn't mean I might have been exposed to something!!???? He had an extremely condescending attitude and tone to his voice. He got me upset with his approach. He then said I'm sensing anger here , I don't need to do this for you ... you need to calm down.. when in fact he was the one who was confrontational. He got so hostile we grabbed our documents and went to another ups location at 201 Garvey in Monterey Park. This location was awesome. The older Asian man working there was extremely friendly and efficient. They had a line out the door, he was totally calm even so. We thanked him for his professionalism. I waited in line for 30 minutes, just for the bald employee to say that my PDF file is not printable, I had mentioned that they needed to resize it in order for the right side to come out, and he couldn't figure it out, and so he said that their printer was not working so he couldn't do it. I told him all the other UPS stores are able to get it done, and he said that's the other stores, our printer is not working. He was basically giving up and trying to send me away, but I waited in line for 30 minutes so I insisted that he should at least try again, and then he was actually able to do it. Considering that the person on the other side of the counter is also a person of color you would think he would showcase more patience when it comes to language barriers. I mean I am a very patient person, but rude and upset 99 percent of the time is not a good business model.
