They will actually send you for free recycling bags that are already pre-addressed and you just have to drop them off at a UPS Store to ship. The only issue with this for me is that I tend to end up with a few of these bags filled to the brim with used pods sitting in my car until the whole car smells of stale coffee and only then do I end up searching frantically for the closest UPS Store. That was the exact scenario a few weeks ago when I landed here. Overall there isn't much to report about this location, it's a very standard UPS store. When I popped in the gal working knew exactly that I was just dropping off Nespresso pods and happily took them from me and I was on my way. I already have a full bag at home again so you know I'll be back soon!

I've worked in almost every position from dishwasher to owner/manager. I'm literally a customer service expert. - I look grungy today (hat, hoodie, jeans and sneaks), because I'm mostly working from home & just running a few quick errands. I'm guessing that I was treated the way that I was, because I didn't look important enough to matter to the employee (who might have been the manager since his name tag looked different than the first employee's), but I didn't stick around long enough to find out. - If I have an Amazon return, I'll typically go to the Kohl's or one of the UPS stores near me in Olathe (where they are super friendly and helpful). The few times I've used UPS, I've printed off my own label and attached it, as the instructions say, so I have zero experience as to what to expect if I ask them to print it off for me. Actual experience: I left my house with something I needed to return to Amazon, before I had actually done the return online. I was in South OP / Leawood area, and since the Amazon choices included UPS, it said $0, and there was one right around the corner, I chose that. I went into the UPS Store off 135th & Metcalf, and told the first employee that I had an Amazon return, and that I didn't have a copy of the return label, and asked if I could email it and they'd be able to quickly print it off for me. He said, "Sure. Send it to this address", pointed to a label, and didn't say a word about it costing $. The other employee goes to a PC and asks if it's my name, and then says, "Your print is coming out right behind you". I was surprised that it was coming out of a huge printer behind me in the store, as I don't use UPS for anything other than shipping. I put the piece of paper down on top of the box I brought in, said thank you, and started to walk away. He said, "That'll be $1..." (whatever change, I didn't hear because he said it quietly and I was already 10' away). I turned back and asked, "I'm sorry, what"? He then repeated the price, and said, "You have to pay for prints". I then started to try to have a conversation with him, but he immediately began interrupting me and talking over me. My sentences below are what I was trying to say, but each time he cut me off after only 3-4 words. - Me: "I didn't know you were going to charge to print off the Amazon label, as it says free on Amazon". - Him: "We are a printing store, we charge for prints". - Me: "I'm not doing a printing order, I just asked him if he could print the label off for me, and he said yes and didn't say anything about $". - Him: "If you don't want to pay for prints, you shouldn't come to a printing store and ask for prints". - Me: "I didn't. I'm not "here for prints", I'm returning this. I usually return at Kohls and..." - Him: "We are not Kohls, they are a retail store. We are UPS, we are a printing store". - Me: "Can you please stop interrupting me..." - Him: keeps interrupting and starts rambling on about various "printing store" things. - Me: "Can you please stop talking over me. I'm trying to have a conversation with you". - He just keeps on going and starts talking louder so I can't be heard. - Me: "never mind, this is ridiculous", and I pick up my box and started walking out. From 10' behind me, as I'm already by the door, he says, "If you don't want to pay, you can get out"! The hostility and rudeness was beyond what I've experienced in a long time. I don't know if he was having a bad day, if someone else had been rude to him so he was taking it out on me, if he's annoyed with being an Amazon return location and chose to take it out on me, or what. But, you don't ever treat people that way for no reason, especially if you are in a customer service position. I will definitely not use that location again!

I was at this store and they had the "customer appreciation" day going on, it was a Saturday and…read moresuper busy! As I was waiting I was watching the crew interact with the customers. The crew was,Tristan, Sam, Mary and Savannah. These 4 were happy and customer focused and actually having fun! I've been a retail manager for over 40 years and can assure you this is rare! When it was my turn, Tristan went above and beyond helping me and making sure I got what I needed. I noticed at this time a older lady brought in a rug to mail back and Savannah ran outside to carry the rug in for her, customer service at it's finest! You should be very proud of this crew! Hopefully they can get some recognition for this, I'm certain all you ever hear are the complaints. Let's give recognition where it's due. And yes, today a wild woman in a white Mercedes nearly T-boned my car because she was apparently too busy scrolling Instagram to look up. But none of that is UPS's fault. That's just the parking lot chaos gods doing their thing. This place is always busy--the line was literally spilling out the door, as usual. But somehow, miraculously, I was in and out in minutes. No drama, just smooth sailing. Jake helped me out with a smile and an efficiency level that actually renewed my faith in humanity. He's good vibes in a uniform. Highly recommend this location. Just keep your head on a swivel in the parking lot--it's basically bumper cars without the padding.

I came into just to drop off a return was already label and ready to, per usual. Not only was the service slow to get to me in the first place, despite the store dead, the staff gave me false info and was extremely rude. The barcode that came as a return label wasn't scanning, so I asked if it could be manually entered, per usual when this happens (several other times). He stated that it is not possible and I would have to find some way to print out a good label before he can help me. I stated that it came already printed on an adhesive. Then he stated that there will be no way to send the package because a driver cannot pick up packages that can't be scan, and asked the person behind me if he could help them while I was mid sentence. I called to a nearby UPS location (Antioch) and asked if there was anyone that can help me. The gentleman on the phone said come on and they will manually enter it in for me. I went in and it was a different gentleman that helped me at the Antioch location than who answer the phone. I stated that the label on won't scan, and he said, "let me enter it manually." I was in and out of there in less than a minute. All and all, I would not be returning to this particular location based on my experience today. I'd rather save my time by going to the Antioch location that is only minutes away. Had I also seen the rating on both stores prior to going, it would have saved me the trip to this store.

Sure, me knowing what's up makes it easier for his staff; but this is definitely not the same at every store. Locally, I used to do shipping at the Fairway and Prairie Village locations; but after needing some help and getting charged or shamed at these two locations, I will always hit up the Central store. It's so small, but their process just clears people out quick and happy. The GM is always there just cranking out business and helping folks out. Please have him train other locations.
