I no longer own OAP and my books are handled by other publishing companies, but if I were to need 100 to 1,000 perfect bound books of any size, America's Press would be my first contact. Some books are proprietary. The books I wrote for Corporate America were not for public consumption. When I published family histories, those people did not want their personal information for sale online. Reliable companies like America's Press are vital to a large portion of the publishing industry.

I ended up hiring them for a project of 500 books. The day after I submitted my cover art and book contents I received a bound proof and it looked great! The next business day was a Monday and first thing that morning I approved the printing. They initially quoted me 10 working days to produce and ship the final product to me. I received them the Saturday following that Monday. They were packed excellently and the end result was as high quality as you could expect. Throughout the whole process they were in touch with me and I was never left in the dark. Great customer service and very professional books! Thank you!

We've used Minuteman Press at various locations over the past few years without issue, but our…read moreexperience with the Galveston location, particularly with Debbie, was nothing short of a nightmare. We placed our usual order with the same design and requested 120lbs paper. Cue Debbie's incessant calls: first, they didn't have 120lbs paper. Then, choosing 100lbs paper became a Herculean task because they apparently have an overwhelming variety. Next came the supposed issues with our design and bleeds--the same design we've used flawlessly elsewhere suddenly had a myriad of mysterious issues. When we informed Debbie that we've done this countless times before without any problems and even sent her a screenshot of a previous invoice from the Friendswood location, she responded with, "You can't compare apples to apples." Ah, yes, because clearly, printing paper and designs in Friendswood is a completely different universe compared to Galveston. Who knew geography had such an impact on basic printing? Ultimately, we paid double for a lopsided design on flimsy 80lbs paper. Debbie convinced us to settle for what "everyone uses." Her justification for the inflated price? "This is Galveston." Ah, of course, the magical land where prices double and quality halves. 10/10 do not recommend this location. Save yourself the headache.
