They left one out and only told us Tuesday, we promptly submitted it and were told it was released from customs on 1 SEP. Unlike some of the other review comments, I was greeted nicely when I entered this UPS Store. I didn't need supplies and didn't need any services. I was simply dropping off a package to be shipped. The clerk smiled when I arrived, took my package, and thanked me for stopping by. Given what the UPS Store is for and how they operate, I couldn't find any fault or issues. Raj and Paras went above and beyond their call of duty as UPS employees. I walked in with 2 doggie strollers which I was unable to disassemble in order to return for a refund. I was literally in tears trying to get the wheels off of both units as UPS was near closing. Both Raj and Paras stepped right up, each taking a stroller and successfully disassembled them. They even went so far as to pack each one in their respective boxes like true professionals! It is moments like these that my faith in humanity is restored. Thank you, thank you and thank you!!! I have lived in Hoffman Estates for 22 years and have never had a bad experience. All of the employees have always been very helpful and patient. The person behind the counter was friendly enough but tried to oversell packing supplies to the customer before me and myself. She tried to sell me the more expensive packing box when they had less expensive ones that would do the same job. If you have to buy supplies, I would suggest that you ask if there is a less expensive option. read more

This business is hit and miss with customer service. I think it is so rude to not acknowledge your customers or say have a great day or thanks. I recently had the young guy ask me if I needed help after seeing me walk in with a box and stand in line for 5 minutes. Pure craziness. This location makes you feel like crap and have a scam with overcharging pre-paid labels after drop off. Please read previous reviews on bad treatment and trying to make money off people...very accurate and true. I was able to have my customer verify package size and weight to prove location has lied twice to overcharge my business. Had to send pics for seller protection refund for false label overcharge. I was sad to see past reviews that were negative. Everytime I'm here it's a quick trip in and out and the service is friendly and super easy. On my last visit to a USPS location, I easily spent 30-40 minutes just waiting in line - and it wasn't even a holiday season. So this week I mailed my Christmas gifts and cards and was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I've even brought prepaid UPS or Amazon returns here and they take them, no problem, even if I'm not purchasing anything that day. Thanks to Dan & Dan ("big D" in training, ha!) who made my last visit very fast and easy and probably saved me an hour at the Post Office. I appreciate you guys. Only challenge for me has been finding parking on this side of this shopping center. If you happen to park too while there's a large truck picking up shipments, it can be even more challenging to get your car out. read more

We recently took the services of this UPS store for our move. We moved our 9 boxes through them. I'm very impressed with their services during our move. Mac provided the information we needed in detailed manner. He was patient to explain every bit of information to us. We went back several times to check about the items we could package. He was very courteous too. After he quoted us for the 9 boxes we setup an appointment to pick them up from our apartment. On the day of appointment, he arrived on time, and picked up the boxes and took them. He never hesitated to carry them all the way 3 floors down. Infact he provided the pickup service for free. He weighted all the boxes and gave us a quote. Infact he gave us a discount of 10% when we paid in cash. It was all a smooth experience with them for our move. I could have given 5 stars if my boxes would have arrived in good condition, but no, they arrived bad. Some of them were torn really bad. Most boxes seemed like they were thrown from far and from height. I have not had a chance to open and see how the items we packed took the rough handling. Hopefully it's not that bad. Ok so I run an eBay business and go to the Post Office and UPS store everyday. I have gone to this store everyday now for 6 months. At first I really wasn't happy with the service only because the guys running the store aren't the friendliest guys you've ever met. They don't make you feel at home in anyway that's for sure and in a lot of ways they make you feel like an intruder. I am giving a 3 star review though because I can tell you that they are efficient and get the job done. I have never had a "bad" experience, I've just never had an amazing experience either. I would take competence over friendly any day of the week though. read more

These guys show up late on Saturdays. More specifically Bruce. He's also a dick about it. Door says 9am, he shows up at 9:15 and tells everyone waiting on him that they open at 10 today. Yeah no. I call, 2 minutes later ask for the hours he says now until 4 pm. Get your story straight, shitty way to run a business. Also they like to charge you to take your USPS mail. I have a ups store next to my home but they are not as friendly and helpful as this ups store. I hop in my car and drive 10mins away to go to this ups store and they have never let me down. I wish I could leave zero stars. I just wanted a little bit of help with my package to be shipped out and I just wanted a simple answer to a simple question. But the older man, I think it was Daniel, felt the need to add in some rude and demeaning and also borderline insulting commentary. It was uncalled for and has no place in customer service, Daniel was very unprofessional. It was a very uncomfortable experience and it wasn't just to me but to other customers that would come in to just drop off packages, he felt like he needed to add snide and rude comments. I should've just taken my package and taken my business to another location or to even another service. I should've looked at reviews first before I came to this particular location. It was a terrible experience and I will never be coming back to this location ever again. It was a rough lesson to learn but I will be looking at reviews from now on. read more

I went to this UPS store to drop off a package with a pre-paid label. The owner - Bruce Arnoux was extremely rude and obnoxious because I was not a "paying customer" (even though his sign states it is a drop-off location). He said he was not obligated to take any of the drop-off packages and wanted me to wait so he could serve other customers who entered the store after me because they were "paying customers". What he forgets is I am indeed a paying customer and could very well have come back to the store another day for a package that I am paying for at his store - needless to say I will never go back to that store again. My recommendation to you - avoid this store - the owner is a mean grouch who drives customers away - poor service, obnoxious manners and rude behavior. read more

If you can avoid using this location, please do so. They are very nice and will mislead you about their services until you get locked into a contract for the mail box. Once you are locked in and have given out your address (or worse printed business cards, updated website) their true colors come out. They are extremely rude and will even hang up on you mid sentence when busy. They have no sense of customer service. read more

The UPS store employees seem to be the owners although on a few separate occasions i have seen other people behind the counter there. Although the do provide a service when they pack the items for you they charge outrageous fees for other things. I went to their store to ship something and needed to provide return shipping for the item and wanted to use USPS not UPS to return it to me. They were more than happy to print a $3.85 postage sticker and Charge me $4.85 for that same thing. Sorry, printing the sticker is not worth a dollar (Ill just go to the post office for that) Also, they are very rude when you bring in prepaid things to ship and just drop off. Almost they are angry that they have to do something for someone who wont pay their insane packing fees, or buy their 5 dollar tape.. I will never buy service from them again, only drop off packages at their store. read more

This store is a fraud, They lost a package and didn't give me the full amount for the delivery charge that they charged me to ship it out through a claim. I called corporate and they said that the store makes the decision on how much I get back. The store tells me otherwise. They are the ones who lost the package they are the ones responsible to pay back the full amount shipping charges include. Until today, I have had mediocre experiences at this store -- not great, not particularly bad. However, today I went in to ship a bunch of packages, and spent about 10 minutes taping them up and attaching labels. While I worked, the two middle-aged white male employees discussed their very racist opinions at a volume clearly audible to customers. I am very aware that the world is full of bigots, but I will not be giving these particular ones my business again (UPS Stores are individually-owned franchises). read more

I had a great experience here! I was trying to find a place that would print out 2 x 2" photos that would not be passport photos because residency programs I were applying to requested this exact size and I couldn't find ANYWHERE that would do it for me without skewing the resolution of the photo. These guys at the store were so helpful, I called beforehand because I was in a rush and they said to just e-mail the picture. So I did and when I got there they told me to come on in the back room and review how the picture would look like once printed and what printing options were available. After a few test runs, trials, and errors we got the right size and they printed it on glossy paper they had on hand as I had requested. They were extremely patient the entire time and very friendly.
