I thought I was making an appointment to have documents notarized for work. Turns out, I was actually scheduling a pointless drive across town to be treated horribly by one of the two women on staff. The only thing more bizarre than her hostility was the fact that I'd made sure to confirm my appointment beforehand. So if anyone needs a notary at this location, let me be the first to inform you that the notary leaves at 5pm (despite the fact that she schedules her appointments until they close at 6pm). I've been dropping off packages to this location since I moved to Hagerstown 4 years ago. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. They also offer a lot of printing services, but I haven't used any of that yet. The main draw to this location is I can get a drop off receipt, which they do not do in Frederick. For some reason, and I don't know why, but it seems like almost everyone going in has a big chip on their shoulder. I've seen people bring in laundry baskets of items to ship, no boxes, no packing, just a pile of loose wires and junk and a napkin with an address on it. Sometimes people need to realize the reason they are having a bad day is because of them selves. This location is great and I'll continue to go here. read more

WHAT A DUMPSTER-FIRE! First let me say: what I had to ship was really odd, fragile, large and heavy... that part I get! For that reason, I didn't mind when the ladies had troubles figuring out how to help me for the HOUR it took to ring me out... I didn't even mind the ASTRONOMICAL price to ship and only minded a little when the quoted price to ship my items kept changing... What I DID mind was the phone call 30min later saying "we forgot to charge you for the actual shipping of the big boxes... it will be an additional $500!" ARE YOU SERIOUS? I "noped" the heck right out of that situation and told them to cancel it all, I was coming to collect my items and get a refund. When I did show up, did I even see the lady who waited on me? No! Did I get a manager to explain what had happened? No! Did I even get an "I'm sorry" NOPE! I took my items to FedEx and the folks there helped me in record time for WAY LESS money! I needed to have some paperwork notarized and this store was recommended. So called and asked if I needed appointment or was there a particular day that I needed to come. I was assured I could come by any time. So that evening I drove across town and arrived at approximately 515p. I was told they stop doing notary at 5. I told the clerk that I specifically that called and my response was "well you didn't talk to me, I didn't take any calls today about notary." Response was extremely RUDE and said with horrible attitude. At this point I walked out I was I so angry of how I was treated, even as they yelled out the door they would go ahead and do the notarizing. NEVER will I set foot in there again. Wow, talk about over pricing. I arrived with two packages - both going within 200 miles. I had gone online to get an estimate before I headed out and UPS estimate was $15-$20 for ground shipping. The UPS store in Hagerstown charged me $63.86! I held onto the second box - a bit bigger and heavier and took it to the UPS warehouse. It was going a bit farther, also going ground shipping. Total cost $16.29! The sales associate at the UPS store insisted UPS will not ship Styrofoam boxes despite my saying the Styrofoam box had in fact been delivered via UPS. At the warehouse they took the Styrofoam box without any questions. When I asked about the huge difference between the estimate and the actual price she said they were a private business so set their own pricing. Exactly - with that kind of a mark-up they won't be getting my business again! Good grief. read more

This place only has one star as I go to give it my one star review. I'd give it no stars if that were an option. The people are horrible to deal with here. They require a mask which is fine but, I didn't have one on me and they don't have any to give out. If you're going to require it you should have some disposables available for your customers. I had to dig a used one out of my trash in the car (gross). This is the third time I've had to take an Amazon return there and all three times have been terrible, today being the worst. I walked out not even knowing if they did the return. See they tried to tell me I had to buy a $5 envelope to return theses earrings that were broken in. I asked the "gentleman " if he could just wrap them up. They were already in two small bags and had a little bubble wrap pocket around them. I figured some tape and a label and they'd be good to go. But UPS obviously wants to make money so they charged me their $5 envelope fee. I put the money on the counter next to the earrings and left. Didn't even wait for any change. So I hope they process the return. They were given that all important $5 envelope fee and they have the broken earrings. The funniest thing is I had another Amazon return that I did this morning at the post office and it went smooth as can be. No charges and fees no nasty people. And any return I've had to do at Kohl's for Amazon has also been easy. This obviously means it's UPS with the issue. From now on I will check the shipping method when ordering anything anywhere so that I never have to deal with this or any other UPS store again. Do NOT go here if at all possible! read more

took a return package to deliver to Amazon to this store . Left top open, thought they might want to inspect it because of insurance.She said she didn`t need to inspect it. Then she asked if I had any packing tape to close it. Said no and with a sour look on her face gave me 6 inches of tape. Now that`s cheap, won`t go back to this store again until they get girls that don`t act like they hate men. read more
