I went in the Glenview store to mail a 7 lb painting that was 42x24. I needed it packed and. With insurance. I was quoted $375 to mail to Florida. I left there and went 2 miles to another UPS store and asked for the exact same thing. I was quoted $185 for the same shipping. Point being... don't go to Glenview UPS as they charge twice the amount of other UPS stores. Plus, the girls working there "the flying Yolanda's".... Looked clueless. I was in the store Saturday April 20, 2024. The store was very busy, yet the crew working was very efficient and apologized for the line when I got to the counter. I think they are very patient and the line would be shorter if the people in line actually knew where they want to send stuff, how soon it has to be there etc.. OStay away from "Armando". A bearded man without a name tag and manners. Tatoos in the arm. It's been a few times I have witness horrible situations ,this particular employee has a horrible personality and mediocre costumer service. I witnessend how he disrespect 2 seniors going to this store to return their Amazon Goods ,I assume they had no idea how to do amazon returns they just needed some Direction ,but this employee Armando Just said with a Straight Face" that is not my problem go and find out someone that can help you"! Right after another senior came and shipped a box that armando literally just throw all the way to the pile of boxes! obviously she saw that and ask him why did you throw it ?you're going to damage it! he said don't worry that's now our problem. Once the lady went out the store he called her horrible names that I cannot write in this review. I am a foreign I do have an accent I came and asked if I could have an envelope Armando look at me with a judging disgusted face like mocking not understand my accent. I felt very sad for this old women and discriminated for this unhappy employee all of this happened between 20 minutes that I was in the store, can you imagine how many people he mistreat everyday? They kept telling me it's not there and that I needed to call the head office. i left and came back and eventually I saw my package in their back room, told them to go in to confirm. One couldn't help - second person just gave suggestions about how to connect to the internet, but never lifted a finger to actually help. They locked the door early before closing time - very frustrating when you rush to get there and then they ignore you at the door . They could see me outside and yet did nothing to acknowledge a drop off. Package too big to go into a box. I guess you can tell what type of company UPS is by how their people treat others. October 5,2018 around 11:30- 12:03 pm. I came to this store in hopes I can return an auto parts out of state . I live around the area, Northfield specifically. Instead I experienced the worse treatment of all business facility with 10 mile radius on this neighborhood . It seems to me the one man two girls combination isn't what defines a "team" on this small facility . "Daniel" whose standing 90% of the time like a statue barely talks and offer help ... I believe he is extremely lazy because he doesn't move unless he was "commanded" /"instructed" by Karla. "Karla" whose in the counter who took my business all this time is the mildest form of arrogant human being - she makes me feel like all my moves gets a corresponding money ... Thank God borrowing a pen/sharpie is free.. "Yvette" who has the loudest voice and the most annoyingly aggressive intention to demean and belittle me all in her one breath must have bad experience against Asian for all I know she is a minority too... Never the less .... I did took care on my own what's needed why I went to that store ... and to me that's all it matters. A very nice person helped me, but beware that the expense of shipping through them is way higher than it ought to be in my experience. I was given a gift of an odd sized item worth about $100 that was not particularly fragile. I couldn't bring it on a plane and didn't have a box handy, so I went to this UPS store for their help. The woman who helped was busy finalizing the packing of another item and suggested I just leave it and they will call with the final cost and get my credit card number then. I asked for an estimate, which they thought would be about $65 to 70 for the packing and shipping. As I had to catch a flight, I didn't really have other easy options, so I reluctantly agreed. They called back a few days later to get my credit card and it was closer to $95 -- effectively the price of the item itself. At that point they had already shipped it out and there was nothing I could do. I felt taken advantage of, although I had agreed to just let them "take care of it." Certainly the next time around, I will do everything in my power to manage the packing and pre-pay the shipping myself. Oh well, lesson learned... read more

The manager named Ivette Martinez is the rudest person ever. NOT helpful and down right MEAN. She is a Notary and she refused to notarize my document for NO reason. I went down the street to the currency exchange and had no problem what-so-ever. Just awful 'service'. And their shipping rates are quite high. My wife I returned from a trip to Dallas and discovered we had the rental car key. We were told by the rental company to overnight the key. We arrived at this UPS Store about 10 minutes to closing on Friday evening. Ivette was manning the desk and took it upon herself to champion our cause. Ivette contacted the air parcel driver, who had just recently picked up at the store, requesting that he return for an emergency pickup. She also spoke to a car rental supervisor to ensure the address was correct as the address was not found in the UPS system. Ivette spent her time and expertise to assist us in getting the key back to Dallas and to avoid an exorbitant fee! Ivette was so very understanding of our predicament, incredibly helpful, polite, efficient, and personable throughout our interaction! Not only was she all of the above - she did all this right at closing and actually after hours!! We can't thank Ivette enough! I'm sorry I can't give her more than 5 stars! read more

This UPS Store has zero integrity, terrible customer service, and takes no responsibility for its actions. Spent over $400 to have 4 packages shipped to TX. Paid to have UPS pack and ship items. 1 of 4 boxes was partially packed, however UPS store was paid to complete final pack and close that box prior to shipping. That box was mysteriously (no one from store or UPS Corp has provided anything closely resembling a documented filing of what happened to the box or the 35lbs of contents contained within) damaged and contents not found during 5 day transit from IL to TX. Have called multiple times to store and UPS HQ, with still no recourse for a refund or information on the damaged claim. Ivette, Mgr, deflects responsibility to HQ, providing no information beyond "packaged was damaged" as to why UPS denied the claim TWICE. If you choose to use this store (God help you), you are just asking for a headache. I will NEVER choose to use UPS again!!! read more

I just wanted to share a general observation when I visited this UPS location yesterday. The store was empty and the service was prompt; however, the store smelled strongly like someone had been smoking indoors. Also, the person at the register was dealing with customers while a large candy wrapper hung from his mouth (as he continued to eat his Jolly-Rancher type candy). I also did not see my items actually boxed which gave me some concern that all items would make it to the final destination. I emailed UPS this information so they know how their brand is being represented but their reply was that all stores are independently owned and to contact the store manager. I'm a little surprised UPS is not more concerned about their image! read more

The guys that work here (or used to work here) during the week were very helpful. I was in there the other day and they refused to wait on me bc they had taken a "scheduled" break. Theres no one else to help me, and I'm the only one in the store. They asked me to come back in 10 min., and I said I was going to the post office instead. No wonder our country is in a recession. They did a great job packing and shipping my stuff. When I found out how expensive it was to ship this large painting, they packed it up for me so I could check it in as luggage on my flight back to California.
