I had a very similar situation as a previous customer. My package was also damaged in transit. The end receiver stated and I quote " you packed this $500 monitor like a child". The store took no responsibility at all and treated me like I was being dishonest. It cost be $200 dollars, I wasn't even looking for a refund from the store, just some compassion or some type of discount. I have used this store for years and I'm a steady customer, you would think that I would get some type of customer service break for being loyal. Nope, nothing!!! This store helped me with an urgent shipping need that required them to go package my items at a different location. I called at 8:30am on a Monday and by 10:15am my job was completed that same morning. The associate was polite and obtained all of my information. He called upon arriving onsite to give me a quote. He also called to let me know the job had been completed. This store was a lifesaver! Highly recommend. read more

What a racket! Use Priority flat rate shipping at USPS instead! I wanted to send a $10 starbuck's travel mug on 17Dec to arrive before Christmas and was told $10 for packing and $40 for shipping (VA to WA) at the UPS store in Gainesville, VA. Ridiculous. Instead I went to the USPS on Monday, 19Dec and because I was using their priority flat rate box (free), I was pulled out of the line (yes their long lines can be daunting) and checked in and charged using their hand-held device in 5 minutes! They even used the post office packing tape (free) to seal the box. Total cost to me $13.45 for a flat rate medium box guaranteed to arrive in 2 days. Compare this to $50 at UPS - hands down no question. read more

This was the worst customer service I ever received at a UPS Store. I was trying to get an 11x17 print done and was being assisted by Andrea. I asked her what email address I need to send the file to and she got visibly angry that I asked her a few times for the email address. She then gets frustrated and slams the business card so I can just read it. I asked her to please not talk down to me and she begins to argue her case that I didn't hear her. Before I left, I asked for her name and in front of a line of over 10 customers, she yells and asks if I want her last name. I told her that customers should not be treated like this and she begins yelling at me and telling me I was acting like a victim. Customers deserve better service than this and don't need to be attacked when I called her out on her rude behavior. An 11x17 printout should not have been this much work and drama. The manager on shift did not do anything to assist with the situation and allowed this to occur. I have been to several UPS stores and this definitely hurt your brand. Won't be going there again. read more

This stores prices are outrageous. I don't know how they stay in business. Just tonight, 2 people, besides myself, walked refusing to pay their quoted rtes for packing and shipping. One lady said she will never be back. I was litterly given the quote of $32 for a box and packing peanuts, shipping was on top of that. read more

I have had a personal mailbox here at the Gainesville, VA UPS Store for a couple of years now and have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS! Everyone there are very nice and helpful. I don't live in Gainesville anymore so I call prior to making a trip to get my mail and they always, always without having a bad attitude check my box for me to see if there is any mail. I will definitely be renewing my mailbox membership this year! read more

The lady charged me a commercial rate and had me buy their package. I had a bubble wrapped package provided by the RADON test kit. I have used other UPS stores for the exact package and was charge half as much, (twice - not a one off). I wouldn't go here, even if I have to drive past them, I don't appreciate how they conduct business. read more

Called the UPS store to inquire about a package that I had sent. The individual I spoke to named Debbie was quite rude and unhelpful. She stated information was missing from the package, which is why it went undelivered. Instead of assisting me regarding the missing information, she said she could not help me and I needed to call the 1-800 number for UPS. Keep in mind I received no notifications that the package was undelivered. I spoke to a very pleasant person at the 1-800 number whos informed me that the UPS store omitted pertinent information from the address label on the package and the store was notified directly regarding the missing information. My receipt has the correct information on it. The store could care less about the urgency of the package as they had yet to correct the information so my 2-day package could be sent. It going on one week and the package has not been shipped as it awaits action from the UPS Store. Debbie should be fired as she has poor customer service skill and requires extensive training. Never will I give my business to this location again. read more
