This was the worst experience I've ever had at a UPS Store. I walked in, waiting in line and the rudest woman with dark brown, shoulder length curly hair asks if I'm just dropping off my package. I said no, it's an amazon return. She looks at my package, realized it wasn't taped up and proceeds to embarrass me in front of every one else in the store. She said you better have tape, told me I needed to prepare the package, It should have been sealed, did you not read the email from Amazon, blah blah blah. You can buy tape but I'm not taping it for you!!! All in front of about 8 customers waiting in line. I was so embarrassed that a human that worked there treated me like this. Totally fine, I actually said "no problem, I'll come back with it packaged correctly ". The rude woman with curly brown hair (I think she's a manager or owner) said "yeah, you do that". I should have taken a picture of her but everyone I know says the same thing. I will NEVER step foot in the UPS Store again. That lady is so disgustingly rude. I have also told everyone I know about my experience and they will never step foot in there either. read more

I was in the UPS store yesterday, and Linda, the employee on duty, was being screamed at by a customer. I'm not sure what the original problem was, but she was being quite nasty and ranting to others in the store! Linda was trying gracefully to help other customers and deal with this irate woman at the same time. She managed to help me quickly and get my packages taken care of quickly while trying to eliminate the problem and calm the lady down. After working in retail myself for so long I appreciated her trying to defuse the situation and still do her job. I had an issue with my package in the next day, and I called Linda and she apologized for me having to witness such a scene. I was shocked at this busy time of year that she remembered me. I will definitely come back to the store. Holiday season has officially started! read more

I have been shipping all my packages from this location for 5 years, as well as renting a Post Office Box for a year. The service was and always has been outstanding. Kind, friendly customer service and extremely professional. I will spend the extra to use this location for both tracking information as well as fantastic customer care! Very upset!!! Ordered a pkg sent to store for pick-up. Was charged $55.00 to pick up the package. This was not a shipping charge but a pick-up charge for an item that was left sitting less than 24 hrs. I questioned this charge and was not given any valid reason for the high cost. Jen tried to smooth this situation over today at which point I took down the negative review, however after we received Linda's email demanding an apology from me because they provided poor service and that I take this review down, is is going back up permanently. Do yourself a favor and just go to USPS where the policies don't change on a daily basis because of someone's bad mood or attitude. As a side note for Linda, please check your video camera for the conversation that occurred when my husband opened up the box at your store. You will clearly hear him state "there are 4 of us," and then explain why. You calling us liars in your email is absurd, especially when you are so fond of reviewing your camera footage in these reviews. It makes me wonder why you WOULD call a customer a liar without first checking the footage.... Original review: My husband signed us up for a box when we moved to town 3 months ago because the location is more ideal than the post office, same as in Flagstaff where we came from and did business with the UPS store there for 10+ years without so much as a hiccup in service. This is the most hateful, anxiety ridden store I have ever dealt with. My husband signed up our household which includes us and my invalid father and grandmother. He never once hid that fact. They signed us up for a small box with 4 adult names on it. We paid the hefty $100 start up fee and then pick up mail when it comes in. No problem. Except for the weekly anxiety gram in our box because some company like Verizon forgot or omitted the box number. Like we can control that. We give them the address and they send it however they see fit. Or because both home bound relatives cannot get to the office in person to show ID for their Medicare statements or because my boss sent me business cards from the company account to my personal address and it had the company name on it, heaven forbid that we cannot control everyone around us, but that doesn't stop the anxiety ridden ration of crap we get while just trying to pick up our mail, at a box that we pay for. We are not paying for your perfectionist demands, pet peeves, and changing rules (yes I have carefully reviewed the rental agreement, as it lives on our fridge for reference during the next altercation). We merely need space to pick up NORMAL mail, no matter how erroneously it was addressed. Luckily my husband did a short rental that will be over soon and we will switch to USPS. Honestly though, if all of the little idiosyncrasies of mail delivery upset your business so much you should probably not be running a mail box store.... read more

Terrible heart pounding customer service experience!! I walked up with my girlfriend and her service animal. The woman made her go get her paperwork out of the car since the animal wasnt wearing her vest First time for everything so she went and got the papers. Meanwhile im standing there with our returns ready to go nut she calls the next guy in line. Confusing so i just head to the back pf the line and wait. Finally its my turn when my GF returns with the paperwork and the woman calls her up and tells me youll have to wait she was here first. I told her actually we came in together and you just helped a bunch of people ahead of me!! I expected a quick apology and to move on but she got real defensive saying it was my fault for not speaking up to which i retorted I was standing right in front of you with a huge box!!! She demanded i not say another word about it if i wanted help and continued to badger me so I apologized and said i needed to send stuff back. She continued to treat me rude so I finally just asked if there was another ups close by to which she said. Im your only option!! I have to go to pagosa springs tomorrow ao opted to go ti ups there!! I said thanks anyway and turned to leave and she screamed dont come back!! Wow!! Not sure what I did to deserve that but I wont EVER be back and will share the experience with friends and family. I have never written a review for a business, good or bad. I do read reviews on yelp and understand the value they have for people. I just had the worst experience at this UPS store. I walked in with a relatively heavy pacakge, 25 lbs, with a prepaid label and a box that needed to be taped shut. I placed the box on a revolving card stand since I didn't want to hold it while waiting in line. That promptly got a "sir, you can't put that there because it's not designed to hold weight". Ok, I didn't like the condescending tone from someone who was giggling with a friend a moment earlier. I moved it to a table that presumably was designed to hold the weight So after a few minutes wait the 'new guy' comes out of the back and 'giggling' finally gets around to saying help the next man in line. I place my package on the scale and pull the prepaid label. He looks at the box and says "we don't provide tape, you'll need to buy some" and points to a nearby wall with tape for $5. This just floors me. I grab the tape and use it to close the package. Ok, now the good part, 'New Guy' pushes my prepaid label at me and says " you need to put the label on the package". You have got to be kidding me. So I take that label, which apparently was too complicated a task for 'New Guy' and stick on my package. 'New Guy' asks for payment for the tape. I hand over my credit card and pay. So, I understand I had a prepaid label, the store is not making any money on me, THIS TIME. What brain dead manager thinks it a good idea to piss someone off over a pennies worth of tape, that they have in rolls and rolls behind their counters. This is a PACKAGING and SHIPPING business. They have tape! Airline counters will give FREE tape as does the Post Office. I would give a pennies worth of tape to anyone that asks for the rest of my life. But this business is too brain dead to realize that just because you don't make money the first time, leaving a good impression results in repeat business for years to come. I will never go back. I should have left my $5 roll of tape for the next 500 customers but I didn't think of it in time. I'm just surprised these morons didn't ask me to take package to the truck and drive it myself to the destination. The management at this is place cheap and dumb. Upsetting how this establishment treats local and loyal customers. Today I drove across town on a snowy, and dreary Colorado day to drop off a prepaid UPS package. Silly me to forget a form of payment, I really didn't think I'd need one. Upon arrival Antonio promptly told me that if I needed to tape the top of the package shut, I'd have to buy a whole roll of tape to do so. There was however, a UPS store 3 blocks down that would do it for me (what?). So, out the door I went to a separate store to try and mail my box before work. For some strange reason, at 1:30 pm on a Friday afternoon, the other location was closed. Back to my car and the other store I went to beg for a strip of tape. Antonio and Jen were extremely understanding of my predicament. Oh wait, NOT. I understand that tape can get pricey if you offer it to everyone, but sometimes a little compassion and understanding goes a long way, especially for local customers. Durango is a small town and we rely on the loyalty and support of our citizens. After a long winded and poor explanation from Jen about how the box could get damaged and they'd be liable for what was inside (never mind that it was a beach cover up and bathing suit return that I showed to her), I left very upset. As a UPS corporate employee working for a multi-million dollar company that has a multi million dollar contract with Amazon, you'd think they'd offer me a 10 cent strip of tape for a PREPAID package. Awful customer service with snarky employees. No wonder they have such poor reviews. Won't return, would not recommend. read more

UPS doesn't have their act together. I had a package I tracked arrive in Durango on 11/6/12 first scheduled for delivery on the 7th, then the 8th, then the 9th. NOT DELIVERED. It's in Durango, folks, but they can't get it delivered! What's going on??!!! Was on hold 25 mins only to be told it would be delivered on the 11th when I'm not in town. Totally unprofessional. Linda was exceptionally helpful in getting two very large packages sent from CO to NYC. I had an amp and cabinet with speakers dropped off by the seller (scary) but Linda was able to confirm reception before final payment was sent. It took a bit to get the items packaged but that was due to the sheer size and weight. Linda sent me tracking BEFORE I paid so that I was covered and feeling comfortable. One of the packages took a nice hit in transit but the pack job was so good it brushed it off. I say all this as some of the feedback here got me a little worried but any business is going to have the occasional snafu but my experience with Linda and this shop was great. read more

I have nothing good to say about this location. Linda acts like dropping off an Amazon or Zappos return should not be something she has to handle, so she doesn't. She points to the corner (occasionally that might be accompanied with "over there"). Hello, YOU ARE A UPS STORE, this IS your business. Couple these multiple occurrences with the recent issue I had (2 packages diverted to the store instead of my home since it was arriving late and I was going to be out of town). Sent my husband to pick them up (same last name as mine and the same address on his license). She said there was one (UPS showed 2 as delivered). She wouldn't give my husband the first package because he didn't have the tracking number. He wasn't able to reach me so I forward it to him later that day and he returned the next day to pick up both packages with both tracking numbers in hand. She claimed one still wasn't there. She wouldn't bother to track it herself to see it showed as delivered, or even check in the back (in case she was mistaken). UPS shows it was delivered at the front desk and signed by Munch (that is her last name). That's just a little too specific NOT to be there. Thankfully it was an Amazon order and they promptly issued a credit. So from now on I will go directly to the UPS center a mile down the road or The Mail Room. They both give better service and have friendlier people. I advise anyone and everyone to do the same. read more

I have had a mailbox at this location for awhile now. I went to pickup a package the other day and was told it would cost me $5 to get my usps prepaid package. Supposedly, our contract says we must pay for package storage (based on size and weight of box) after 3 consecutive days following delivery. IFTHE UPS EMPLOYEES WOULD SEND AN EMAIL NOTIFYING ME OF DELIVERY "PER CONTRACT", I COULD AVOID FEES. NO EMAILS IN AT LEAST 4 MONTHS. WHAT EZCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICES! read more

We have a box at this location and they currently charge the box holder a fee if a package is not picked up within 3 consecutive days (depending on box size and weight, charge varies). Staff at the store say that this is in our contract. Also in the contract, and not being held up on the staff's part, is the responsibility to notify the box holder when a package arrives. I can pick up my boxes promptly now that the staff emails me to let me know to pickup! read more

We went to Home Depot nearby for packing materials and shipped at the PO, all for less than $85 with full insurance. I asked my question, her response was " WHAT do you need to know THAT for?" My response was "I'm doing research". She replied "You need to call the city". Evidently this retailer does't KNOW the local tax rate! So, therefore, my logical thought is are they charging usTOO MUCH??? (If they don't know how much it IS THEY MIGHT BE!) I am a business woman looking to rent a HUGE local mailbox with a LONG TERM contract/agreement. She was RUDE to the wrong person. At best it was exceptionally poor customer service! Horrible Customer Service I went to the UPS Store #3715 on 4/17/12 around 2pm to send a pre-paid package. I ask for some tape to finish sealing my box. She replied it was a $1.00. She said "This is a business, nothing is for free." I had just come from the US Post Office and thought, well they taped up my box for free and I told her that. She then said that I can just take my package to the post office or to the UPS Hub. I could not believe she just told me she does not want my business now or never over 6 inches of tape. After a bit of cooling down, I went back in to find out who the manager was so I could file a complaint. This lady claimed she was the owner and if I did not get out, she would call the police. Are you kidding me? You are a business owner and you treat people this way? And you are still in business? As a business owner I believe It is more important than ever to provide excellent customer service. This lady has absolutely no conception of customer service or customer retention. As an owner (if she truly is) she should be ashamed of herself. If she is an employee/manager she should be fired. read more

Sent a overnight package to another UPS store in New Mexico for $53. I carefully explained that the recipient would be picking up the package at the other UPS store. The UPS store in NM refused the package and it was returned. When I asked for a refund of the $53, first I was told that it was my responsibility to contact the other store about the delivery, and then I was told to leave the store or the police would be called. I will never do business with these people again. I feel I was ripped off, then insulted. I would advise people to deal directly with UPS and not with these stores. read more

I've been coming to this store for the past 7+ years. Linda and her team are wonderful and helpful. Linda is such a genuinely sweet lady; she always remembers me and asks about my family. I've never had a single problem at this location and will be a loyal customer of Linda's for years to come. In the event something were to happen, I feel that they'd bend over backwards to help. This is the worst UPS store I have ever experienced. Every time I go here, there is some issue with my taping job. There are so many rules and it is plain sad how Linda, the owner, treats locals in the community. I had to go next store twice to the Auto Parts store for help, and they said that everyone always comes over there asking for tape or a certain box size that she refused, complaining of the horrible service and Nazi attitude of the woman over there. They said everyone has the same problems with her. She raised her voice at me in front of other customers in the store and treated me with utter disrespect simply because I spoke my opinion about how difficult it is to simply drop a box off. She charges $3-4/minute to use a computer. Everything about her and this place is horrible. If you can avoid using UPS or have some way of avoiding going in, I would do so. Linda is a horrible business owner, and obviously has terrible customer service skills and should not be in business. read more

I would have given this store a zero star rating if that were possible. The owner of this service business has no business being in any business where she has contact with the public. It is painfully apparent that she has no previous business experience or if she has, she learned nothing. She is rude and has a take it or leave it attitude. It is beyond me how UPS allows her to sully their brand but UPS does not seem to care. The reviews for this store should have been a tip off that they have a problem in the town of Durango. I will no long frequent this location. I either go to a Fedex counter just around the corner from this UPS store or I'll go to Kangaroo Express where they know how to treat their customers. Service was quick and service was friendly, but my experience was a little surprising. When I asked if my smaller already ready for shipping boxes would be cheaper as is, or in a single larger box, the clerk said it would be cheaper if we had a bigger box that they would fit in. She produced a box from the back, cut it to custom size, taped it up - and then totaled the bill - without ever mentioning costs, comparisons or itemized expenses for these. My total was $7.25 higher than just the shipping cost ($2.00 for taping charge, $5.25 for the box). I was not informed or asked about these prices at all. I don't know if this is just the norm in the corporate world, but I felt a bit duped. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would! My wife had a packag shipped to a China address using this facility. She was given a USPS Tracking Number and paid her fees. She needed this tracking number due to a dispute with a company and Pay Pal required it in order to receive her refund. The refund claim was denied due to the shipping number given to them that was provided by the store was not correct. When we found this out I went to the store to see what had happened. The clerk on duty was not informed in procedure and very busy. She said to leave my name and number after calling her boss. I waited for over an hour for the owner Linda Joy Munch to arrive. When she arrived I questioned her about the tracking number not being in the USPS system. Her first lie was to tell me that it takes them 4-5 days to even get it in their system, I told her I already stopped by the PO and found out that it goes in immediately, I also found out that the store had used the wrong form. I questioned her about that, and she said yes that was what had happen and that the tracking number was changed when she submitted the new form. I asked for the tracking number, lie number two, she stated that she would have to call the PO, I stated that since she changed the form that I am sure that she no doubt had it right here in the store. She relented and said yes and would have to find it later and call me. It was at this point I really started to become upset due to the loss of the refund due to bad tracking number. When she put me off, I demanded that she find that number immediately due to the fact that she should have notified the consumer of the change. It was at that point she stated that she could not give it to me, because my wife was the original customer. HER FAULT and wants me to jump through hoops. She at this point storms to her office to find the number, the employees are a witness to my increased ruder behavior (yes I was rude, never lie to a consumer when they know the answers) due to being lied to and they threaten to call the police. I at no time raised my voice, or made any threatening steps, other then to state that we would never step into this store again. I used my first of two curse words.... The two staff members implied that I was an *sshole.....I corrected them and said when lied to, I am a very big *sshole I phoned my wife and told her to call Lynda, she did, the clerk would not put her through stating that we do not know that it really is you, and hung up on her. She also stated to her that they would call the police on me if I did not leave. My wife called back, Lynda picked up the phone (I could hear her conversation) to talk to my wife, and she had the new tracking number, she apologized to her and even stated that she should have got ahold of her about the change in tracking number. She came to the front to make a copy for me and I asked her again, should she have gotten ahold of us immediately with the change, she stated yes and apologized to me. This was after threatening to call the police, and I actually invited them to do so, as I am sure that the store had cameras, and they would show not reason to have called them. Bottom line, the screwed up, I had to insist that they give me what I needed and that they had, Lynda flat out told me lies, all because she did not want to deal with it right away. We lost a refund due to her not contacting us with the new tracking number so we could give to PayPal. This was the only reason the file was closed/denied, improper tracking number provided. My next step is to take her talk to her about a refund of shipping charges and due to her failure to pay us back for our loss.........any bets on how she will handle this request......call out the National Guard. I have already spoken to half a dozen people around town, and 4 of them stated that her turn over is high and that the customer service is terrible. I told her that the Internet is a very powerful tool to increase your business, and an even more powerful one to ruin a business. She apologized as I was leaving and I will admit that I used my second curse word of the day........It was a Bull Shit apology. read more

I got told to never come back again because I asked to borrow her tape and she then didn't answer with a yes or a no she said if I was going to be purchasing something then I could use some tape. this would of been fine if I had my wallet. Then I said wow thats great customer service and she explained that I should never come back and started yelling at me telling me that I was rude and I that I think I am entitled to get things for free.
