This place takes shipments for UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Shipping items there is a fast and convenient experience. Unfortunately, during this Christmas season, it is unable to process USPS shipments. But this is because our local post office lacks the staff to pick up these shipments, and this is not a fault of the Mail Room. The Mail Room is adequately staffed and a visit there is a pleasant experience. You should note that it offers some good greeting cards too! read more

Dropped a package off this morning with some of the nicest most helpful people I've seen in the shipping business. The shop is easy to access and seemed to be reasonably priced compared to the other mail services that are further out. I needed to have a fax sent to unemployment but am under self-quarantine for COVID 19 so I could not go in to their office. I called and explained my dilemma and they said I could just email the document to them and they would fax it for me and since it was for unemployment there would be no charge!!! I would highly recommend this business. It is so important now more than ever to support our local small businesses. I was very impressed with the customer service also. This is the best place to mail valuables in town. As an artist we ship a lot of high priced precious things and these guys have always packed beautifully. My galleries who receive packages from here have made a point of telling me how well they are cared for. Friendly staff who knows their business. We won't go anywhere else. read more

Refreshing customer service! After a frustrating and disheartening experience at the The UPS Store in Centennial Center, I took my boxes away and came here. After seeing me struggle with several boxes and a sleeping baby in a car seat - 3 customers offered to help me get my packages in. Then a nice gentleman came around the counter to help me mail my boxes. He took them out of the cart no questions asked, had a friendly smile, and gave me water for my baby bottle. He even offered a $1 off coupon for my grandma. He made my day! If you've got ship......go here. There is a reason they have been in business in Durango so long! Great, great people. read more

Waiting patiently to simply drop off a pre-addressed and paid-for FedEx (free money for them!), and I get barked at that "we see you, we are busy and will get to (me) in a moment." NEW OWNERS, NEW ATTITUDE! A couple years ago I had a bad experience with the Mail Room, and never went back. Well I had to drop off a package quickly, and I have to say things have definitely changed. The staff is pleasant and greets you with a smile! I have dropped off packages a couple of times now, and even though they weren't making any money from me, they accepted them graciously. They have a really great and varied assortment of little gift items, and there is just a friendly, helpful feel to the place. Convenient for me, since it close to my grocery store. Taken care of right away. Friendly and polite service. There was a shift change but the employees communicated with each other and worked as a team. Service went smoothly. My attendant was honest when I asked if she thought I should pay to get a signature. My package arrived at its destination as expected. read more

LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went in today with a warranty return. As soon as I said the word warranty return and the older lady who I presumed was the owner heard that, she copped an attitude. This is a convenient place to mail packages if you have no other options. In fact I think the customer service here is pretty great. I've never had to wait very long although I do have something to add. This business marks up US postage, UPS and FedEx shipping fees at least 85%. That's right... you're going to pay almost twice as much to ship anything from this storefront. To ship a $5.75 priority package here costs $11.95. A little ridiculous considering that you can go to the post office with about the same wait time as you would going to this place. Or as another option, going to the UPS center and sending it from there will save you 50%. Save yourself some dough, walk away from this place. read more

Don't waste your time going here. I stood at the counter for several minutes before even being acknowledged just to be told that even though they are FedEx dealer they don't have FedEx boxes. Maybe if they had less knickknacks they would have more room for the supplies we actually need. read more

they are great for printing, especially when I have larger quantities that are more than I want to put through my home printer. I can email documents from home and then drive in a pick them up, save the wait! Easy drop-off for UPS packages.... Also the best greeting card collection in town It is a pleasure to do business with them! read more

Bottom Line: High prices and dishonest about them. Recently, as I was preparing to ship a package via UPS, I called them to find out about shipping costs for UPS ground, and they told me that they price the SAME price as the UPS distribution center we have in our town. They said their rates are "set by UPS"... So, trusting what they say is true, I went in and sent a large box through them. The cost came out to 48 dollars. Seemed rather high, but they told me that it would be the same at the UPS center. When I returned home I took the exact dimensions and weight and ran it through the UPS online calculator. It came to $34 dollars, a $14 dollar difference!! Obviously I was not happy and called them back to find out why the difference. They had no answer, and just said they should be the same and will "let the owner know". I don't believe for a second that mine was the first time this happened. They led me on, and I bought it. Never again. With this ridiculous pricing markup for services, I will NEVER return there, nor trust their pricing. What a rip off. read more

Wow.. not even sure what to say I went in and had am item packaged shipped and insured for the shipping and it was damaged during the shipment. When I called the Mail Room they flat refused to help me in any way and refused to pay what the insurance covered (despite photographs) and at one point hung up on me because they didn't want to talk to me anymore. This is not how to run a business and I will never be using them again and will go out of my way to make sure others know how rude, arrogant, and unhelpful these people are. This place is awesome. There are a lot of Durangotangs who have homes elsewhere and we all get our mail at The Mail Room. The owners are always there or close by. It's a family affair, so you know there will be continuity. They do sometimes have problems with staff because it is very difficult to find good conscientious workers in Durango and their standard is high. read more

Caution - 'drop off packages at your own risk'...the words of the ferocious owner, Debbie. With a printed UPS return label from a NY department store I dropped off my expensive cashmere sweater. Days later when I tried to track the package and found no movement I returned to the store and the owner's son pulled up my drop off on their in-house video. It was lost/stolen after that, never scanned by UPS but the owner insisted 'we are not responsible', refusing any further contact with me after referring me back to the department store. Weeks later after 14 calls to customer service to the department store and UPS I filed a theft report with the Durango Police.
